“We were hoping for something a little different for a treat and after finding this place rang before ordering to check they could accommodate a very picky child. They were incredibly friendly and polite on the phone, the food was still hot when it arrived and was packaged really well (even the hot chocolate survived an uber driver getting lost). It was absolutely delicious, roasts were crispy,meat melted in your mouth, and the gravy and Yorkshires were perfect. Honestly couldn't fault a thing if we wanted to.”

“Had a lovely experience yesterday! Very family friendly (we had a pram, and they put out a baby change for us). The service was very good. The little finishing touches of bringing cutlery on a plate and sauce on a little side plate, too, made it a more pleasant experience. Food is an amazing value for money! “The most gorgeous little shoe shop. Our friend recommended it to have our toddlers feet measured and we've been back repeatedly. The brands they carry are fab, many made in Britain and their customer service is fantastic. They are really patient with our little one who is now a whizz at getting his feet measured by their wonderful team. We'll be back again soon!”

“Great place, great owners. We are a little bais as we do know them if fact my wife used to work with one of them, that said; the food is always freshly cooked and hot. The will do whatever it takes to make you happy and they make occasion cakes, we have tried their Angle Cakes and they are good. All in all nothing bad to say about the owners, food or establishment. Christmas menu is up, Stocking Stuffer, super tasty and about the size of my head. Winner Winner Christmas Dinner.”

“I was visiting Barnes with my kids to explore the lovely Wetlands site, and my 15-year-old discovered this amazing café-bakery on Instagram, The Base, right in the heart of the village. OMG, what a find! The place is beautiful, the food absolutely delicious, and the prices are great value. I wish we had somewhere like this where I live! The friendly waiter told us that all the breads and cakes are made in-house, and even their coffee is roasted on-site. You can really taste the difference. Congratulations to everyone behind this wonderful business, it’s clear how much love and hard work has gone into creating such a special place.”

“One of the cosiest coffee shops in town. The vibe is amazing and perfect place to chill out. The staff is very friendly with warm smiles. A good selection of cakes, coffee and savouries. The chocolate and lemon cakes were wonderful. They also serve wine and a few types of bottled/canned beer which is great. Definitely going to be one of the regular places to visit.”

I went in for a quick coffee and bite to eat, I wasn't disappointed... the lady recommend bacon and egg on brown, I went nuts as it was the weekend and had this with a sausage. My word the bacon is amazing... great recommendation and 10/10 for the sandwich. Coffee is super smooth and full of flavour, had a cappuccino... highly recommend. “Good selection of four rotating beers, plus a well stocked fridge. Also sells a wide variety of lilleys ciders and local gins. Located centrally in spondon right next to the bus stop. Serves small nibble by very friendly staff. Would highly recommend. We are here every week.”
