Fries are extra but I would suggest sharing between two as portions are quite large. No need to book as quite a large space and walk-in was available, however you can book if you want to ensure a table.”

“Kitty, an Irish pub, is a fantastic spot that's both cozy and lively. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a pint. Live music is a big highlight here. It really adds to the vibrant, authentic Irish pub feel. The place is also full of character, with lots of small nooks and crannies for more private, quiet chats with friends. If you're looking for a comfortable, genuine pub experience with great music and a bit of a hideaway feel, Kitty is definitely the place to go.”

“Went as a couple during a trip to Edinburgh. We booked via OpenTable, but on arrival, we weren't in the system :( The place was packed, but the lady at the front desk found us a table just over an hour after the original booking. I can highly recommend the bar next door's French 75 and Old Fashioneds to help pass the time :) I had a 950g porterhouse, medium, with a good charring. It was delicious. Pink and juicy, melt in the mouth stuff, with fat rendered so it dissolved in my mouth. I think my girlfriend enjoyed her food too, but I was too distracted with the beauty that was mine :D”

“This place is incredible!! The food was reasonable for a high end product and atmosphere. From the moment we entered the staff were very kind and helpful, asking us about our day, and offering to take our coats. Moments like this made it better than better. The food and drinks menus were both detailed which made it perfect for an overthinker like myself for picking the perfect drink. The food menu was the same, and described exactly what you will get. My partner and I shared the chateaubriand which was a perfect serving for us (with the extra sides) the beef melted in our mouths, and the sauces were amazing, I’d especially recommend the Malbec and bone marrow jus, it was an excellent extra for the beef. Sides were perfect, the broccoli tasted Smokey and cooked perfectly to be soft with a small crunch, the spinach was refreshing and lemony, the mushrooms were peppery and were a larger portion, and the chips were lovely and crispy with a fluffy inside. The staff were great, so attentive and helpful with our questions and chit chat. I couldn’t recommend this place more, for a high end meal with a better price tag than some steakhouses. Amazing!!”

“I love the atmosphere in here! I’ve been twice now to enjoy the lovely food. The waiters need to be more aware when you need your drink topped up though I waited 20 minutes for someone to come over as my glass was empty for that amount of time! The food was delicious plenty of desserts for anyone to enjoy”

Collecting from the store is straight forwarded with the staff at the Murryfield branch in Edinburgh very helpful. As I’ve done a number of projects this year this review is based on ordering well over fifty separate items and making far too many visits to collect.”

“As a women, I highly recommend this place! I have never felt uncomfortable and often come by myself to work. Great vibe, best shisha in Scotland, the staff are very friendly and always welcoming, food /desserts are always spot on and the service is excellent. The owner always makes sure you get a good experience. Great place for a night out or to sit and crack on with some work or even to watch the boxing or footy. The ambience is even better since the recent refurbishment! The staff here are really welcoming and look after me. I note that the shisha boys Asif, Daniyal, Sameer and Hammad always keep note of customers shisha preferences and will make their shishas accordingly to their taste using the specific quantity of flavours which makes for a unique experience. I have been in Glasgow for the day and will still come through to Edinburgh Urban Lounge for this very reason as the boys know what I like. Similar, I look forward to coming back to Urban Edinburgh for a shisha when I've been down south. Coal changes are prompt, head changes are prompt, service is impeccable. The front of house staff, Jatin, Amal and Fatima are fabulous! Very caring and attentive in their approach. They know regular customer's orders, will always fo rounds to check if customers need anything and clean up as they do. Their food is on point and comforting.”

“So many places don’t do lemon chicken ‘right’ anymore- it’s always bright red, way too sweet and syrupy. However, I took a chance on Friendly’s as I’ve never been before, the place is very small and unassuming, but the menu is huge and the price of the ‘Happy meal deal’ was impressive. Only eleven pounds and two pound delivery. That gets you a main, and one or two sides depending what you choose. I got the lemon chicken, which was outstanding and the way that I remember Chinese lemon chicken from my childhood. A pale yellow (almost translucent) sauce with plenty of zing, not too sweet or bitter. The chicken was lovely, no fat or gristle. It wasn’t overloaded with sauce either, but there was enough ‘spare’ for dipping. I also chose vegetable spring rolls and egg fried rice. The spring rolls were great- I don’t normally like larger spring rolls but these hit the spot, even cold the next day. The rice was kind of standard, and a large portion, but I think I might try the chips next time as I felt like when the rice had been delivered and cooled down slightly, it went a bit claggy. However, this is the case with most rice from a takeaway Chinese. The happy meal deal is full size portions, they don’t skimp on it just because you’re buying the deal. You will need cash if they deliver, and you need to order over the phone as they have no presence online. This wasn’t an issue in my case this time as I had cash, but if I planned to order again I would need to make a trip out to the local ATM. Not sure if they take card if you pickup in store, as I’ve not done that before. The food was here in less than fifteen minutes, super quick. The woman on the phone and the guy delivering were friendly. I tipped the delivery guy however there was no pressure to do so. This is the best Chinese I’ve had in 16 years of living in Scotland, and after the lemon chicken I had tonight I don’t think I’d ever go anywhere else. £13 including delivery is cheaper than you’d pay in the shop for a 3 piece ready meal. 5*****”

“Absolutely gem of a place. The food is delicious. Everything was very fresh, And the pork meat was so juicy. The shop itself is lovely, with plenty of space to wait on your food being prepared. Great service as well. Will definitely reccomend!”

“Decided to give this place a try and was not disappointed. The food was delicious. My satay beef was nice and tender with loads of flavour and everything else just tasted fresh and of a better quality than I've had elsewhere. One nice touch was that they poked holes in some of the containers to let the steam out so things like spring rolls and the salt n pepper chicken stayed lovely and crispy. The two people who delivered it were really nice and friendly too. Great food and service all round and we'll definitely be ordering from here again.”

“I first came across this tea at a cafe in Doune and told the waitress how much I enjoyed it. I asked which brand it was and she went and checked. I have since ordered 2 boxes direct and am delighted with the product. My old Typhoo(floor scrapings) went straight in the bin!”

“I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in North Queensferry. The room was amazing — spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable, with a bed that made it hard to get up in the morning. The restaurant was another highlight; the food was truly top-notch and worth every bite. If you can, definitely choose a room with a view of the bridge. It’s absolutely stunning and adds something special to the whole experience. Parking is available, but finding a spot on the weekends can be a bit challenging, so it’s worth keeping that in mind. Aside from that, the staff and service were exactly what you’d expect from a hotel of this brand: professional, attentive, and consistently helpful. Overall, a wonderful stay in a beautiful location.”

“Always have what I need, whether its tools, materials or work clothing. And doesn't matter how busy they are, all the staff are helpful, even offering a coffee while I wait. Its other customers who need rated. My God, the amount of huffy whingers who can be waiting a few minutes extra than normal for their order. Entitlement to its absolute max”

“Best place to find all Indian groceries. The person who usually deals with customers is very kind and helpful. Although they don't have student discounts, their prices are really good. I know some friends who live outside Edinburgh who often come here to buy supplies in bulk. As per their website, they have another branch in Glasgow. I would also suggest that they improve their website for deliveries and collections.”

“Site staff are friendly and very welcoming, the site is clean, shower and toilet facilities are immaculate. The site was packed but there was still a relaxed friendly atmosphere about the site. “I would like to take this opportunity to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Premier Hub in Haymarket. After a few teething issues when I arrived outwith anyone's control. Staff members Jordan and Stefania were indeed extremely helpful in finding me, a nice clean on suite room at short notice. I found all the facilities to be well maintained and clean and the wider access accessibility entery. All in all it made my stay in Edinburgh all the more enjoyable. The aforementioned staff are a credit to the Premier Hub organisation”

“Was last at this establishment 4 years ago. Booked a bigger room, located on the 5th floor, was very quiet and peaceful, the room had a reasonable view over the rooftops. Largely the room was fine, however small matters like the curling wallpaper and stained carpets tainted our overall experience. On a positive note the bed and bathroom were excellent and we had a good and peaceful sleep each night. Continental breakfast which cost £6pp, was good value and set is up for the day ahead. Brilliant location, very central for transport, shops and eateries.”

“This is an excellent hotel for the price. As soon as we arrived, we were well greeted and given tourist information about the area. The rooms were clean, breakfast was tasty and the price was reasonable for the area. The only negative is the free wifi was terrible or purposely throttled as the hotel wanted guests to pay for the premium wifi. Regardless of the slow internet, we would come back to this hotel on our next stay in Edinburgh.”

“Staying at Malmaison was a great experience. Arriving from a red eye at 6:30am, we weren't expecting to be able to get into a room until later that afternoon but they were able to upgrade us when we arrived for only £20! The room was spacious and modern with a moody flair. Would definitely recommend the stay there.”

“We stopped there at Sunday afternoon just for one beer because of historical value. However, Kamil, Craig, Martin, Harri, Archie were so amazing and helpful that we spend there alomst five hours. We had such a great time and experince. We also got a option to try historical skittle alley. It was such a fun. So we highly reccomend to vist this place. “Dinner out done right Loved this pub to eat at. Vibrant garden on a Saturday night with people enjoying a drink and good time by the looks of it. Inside was very nice and the food was to die for.
