“Great weekend pub karaoke bands on a Sunday. Great quiz every Thursday at 9.30.lots of laughs.also some really good staff who look after you with a smile and make sure your night ends in a taxi home if needed. Come along and give us a try”
“The staff were lovely, so friendly. Nice atmosphere. The cocktail pitchers were good value for money and very tasty.”
“A great atmosphere with great bar staff. Thursday night is quiz night with James - well worth coming along for.”

“I have been a few times and have always enjoyed the food. On Monday 29th September myself along with another 3 family members arrived at around 5.30pm without pre booking. It became busy with small to large groups. They appeared to be short staffed but I have to say to the 2 male staff members that attended to everyone where excellent. Really professional and very friendly. They were rushed off their feet and didn’t stop for a second but that didn’t affect their professionalism and service to every table.”
“Me and the mrs went to a comedy night here. Bar man was the most memorable part of the evening. Friendly and good humour. Felt welcome even, though we weren’t regulars. Was a good night I’d go back.”
“Was in Glasgow with some friends and stumbled on this cracking bar. We were only going in for one beer but had such a good time we stayed all night. The atmosphere was really welcoming, a great crowd and even better staff. The beer was flowing and so easy the chat. We laughed and joked and sang our hearts out. Look forward to seeing Julie and her boys again next time we are in town. Thanks again, you really made our night”
“Been in here a few times now before football games at Hampden. Can get busy but enough space for seating or standing. Had a pint of Murphys that was delicious. So much better than elsewhere I've tried. Staff always friendly despite being busy with serving”
“Mint atmosphere; quality, friendly locals and bar staff; juke box with a good, varied selection; and overall welcoming and friendly vibe. Price for a round was good, and the choice of snacks kept us happy, though the staff let us bring in food from down the road. Had a great evening, and would thoroughly recommend for anyone looking for a nice place for a chilled out pint.”
“Visited this bar for first time yesterday for family funeral and what can I say food was delicious we had lentil soup and a choice of steak pie/ fish /and chicken in gravy I had the fish and its the best fish I've tasted for a long while they have a great selection on there menu at reasonable prices and staff were lovely and friendly Daniel our server was really nice and friendly and nothing was a bother for him it was a lovely wee dining area spotless clean and had a cracking large beer garden and parking area will definately be visiting this place again soon thanks for your top class service and compliments to the chef”
“Popped in for a quick drink with my better half during corona social distancing phase 3. Very impressed that all staff were taking every precaution available. I had a pint and the bar staff offered me a straw to drink from? A little weird drinking a pint from a straw but just shows how far the staff have went to ensure that every precaution available was utilised to prevent the spread! And the great thing is that the atmosphere was friendly and the experience felt extremely normal thanks to the staffs efforts. We'll done”
“Delicious, reasonably priced food, in lovely, dark wood, American grill house style surroundings. Very friendly and attentive staff. Wide varied menu which includes burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, and many other options. Great for a group with varied tastes.”
“One of if not the most friendliest pub/bars in Airdrie. This place is always welcoming to new and old faces. All are welcome to come in and have a drink or two. Have a song at the karaoke on both Saturday night and Monday afternoon”
“Enjoyed our visit staff were very friendly and helpful we had a lovely meal and will be back”
“What a great place to stay in Falkirk. The rooms were extremely clean, beds comfy, and the bar served great food, and very affordable pints. Lastly the staff and owners were awesome and truly care, we had such a great time staying here. Edinburgh wishes they had places like this. Thank you so much - Andrew and Diana from Canada.”
“The food is usually very high quality, especially for the reasonable prices. The only thing that could be better is the service for drinks. I was there yesterday having a pre-theatre meal and was waiting too long for a drink for the main meal. I had to go to the bar and order it, it was taking that long. Other than this, everything else was the usual standards this place has - very good. The food was quality, the value of price is very good, the menu is authentic & the staff are very friendly. The only other critical feedback is maybe they are too quick with firing meals at customers. I always have to ask them to hold fire with desert for an extra 5 minutes because of how quick they get you your starter, main and desert. A little more time inbetween would be welcoming to allow the previous dish to properly digest. These are small critiques, but the overall bigger picture for me is this restaurant is very decent & is a very good spot in the city centre.”
“I have just had dinner in the Ivory and I must say it was delicious. Compliments to the chef. I cannot begin to say how lovely the waitress is. She certainly knows the etiquette of Good Friendly Customer Service.”
“Delightful place to eat especially for the narrow canal people. The atmosphere is lovely and very restful/peaceful. The wait staff are personable and professional. Service was impeccable. Options provide a variety of well prepared. There are also vegan items on the menu.”
“We were in a private room upstairs and it was great with a private bar as well.”
“Delmonica Glasgow: is in the center of Glasgow, and it's a very nice environment to be with a group of friends or on a date. There are very varied proposals throughout the week, in general I always had fun. Although sometimes the music is so loud that it is practically impossible to ask for a drink. Recomendo/aos visitantes!”
“Gorgeous city centre venue for a late night bite to eat Food was delicious. We both ordered burgers and they absolutely did not disappoint! These things were huge. And the patties so juicy Being a busy Friday night the venue was packed (I'd estimate it at 90% capacity) but the staff were on the ball. Service was super friendly, quick and efficient The colourful umbrella ceiling is beautiful. The interior shelves are filled with a host of quirky, Italian collectables (for lack of a better word!) £37 for the two of us having burgers and fries with a side of onion rings”
“I went to Bar Soba alone, to dine after a concert in Oran Mor, even though I appeared without booking they accommodated. The service was exemplary, they didn't hover and interject they just seemed a lot more intuitive; they came when things were finished or when I looked for assistance. I had prawn dumplings and chicken saté, without exaggeration these were the best of either I've EVER had! The dumplings were lightly fried and had a sumptuous filling. The saté tasted chargrilled but juicy with a slight topping of roasted peanuts and the sauce was glossy and rich. I had the chicken katsu for main, and I'll be damned: in 15 years of dining UK wide I've not had a combination of just enough rice to chicken ratio, which is rare (normally cheaper/shoddy places bulk on rice). The katsu it's self was exceptionally crispy whilst being juicy and visually pleasing! Just excellent food, executed exceptionally. I asked for water to start (normally this elicits a 'eurgh' and rolled eyes) and it was nice, whilst I browsed the drink menu. I had an old fashioned, a chocolate orange coffee martini and a Russian sailor. All were made to be aesthetically and olfactory pleasing! The old fashioned was brilliant, a must! Often people forget to spritz with citrus zest to tie in the bouquet but it was all there! The martini was decadent but not overpowering and the Russian sailor was new to me... Really creamy but balanced. I spent over 3 hours there, wasn't rushed, was expertly taken care of, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The shocker? The bill. I had guesstimated it to be double what I paid. I dine out alone often (especially due to work/commitments) and I find you're normally neglected, it's assumed you'll be a low yield as for purchase and I'd assume tip. It was the opposite in Bar Soba, my service was as great as everyone around me, and even though I was the last person there they never once even instigated me leaving with "would you like the cheque?". I'll definitely be back, new Asian favourite with a killer drinks menu! I really appreciated the service, food, drink and finesse of it all. Seriously, forget the other places in Byres Road, go here even if it's for finger food and a drink.”
“Great food, including vegetarian options, excellent service (thanks Luke and Steven) in a lovely environment, so definitely a great choice for a nice meal!”
“Great pub food was brilliant greek fries are another level Giros really good. Reasonably priced”
“Surprisingly quiet for a Friday night. Had a lovely sirloin steak daughter had fajitas. Both delicious. This place has picked its self up and is a very attractive restaurant and bar. I would highly recommend a visit not the cheapest but very excellent all round.”
“Visited one of the newly refurbished Belhaven pubs and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The refurbishment has really transformed the space — warm, welcoming and full of character. The staff were outstanding, friendly and attentive throughout, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was spot on. A great example of a pub done right. I’ll definitely be back.”
“We had a lovely meal here and were well looked after by Georgia and Christy. It’s not just steaks… lots of veggie options too. Happy to recommend this place, wherever you are off to next!”
