“We had an absolutely perfect experience here. Close to city center, 15min walk from both train stations, off the main road so it was quiet and cozy. Food was amazing, drink selection was bountiful, and the staff was kind and knowledgeable. Babbity Bowster has been added to it our "always when able" list. Luke and Harry and everyone else gets a solid recommendation and appreciation.”

“For me this has to be hands down the best steakhouse I have ever been to, I booked me and my partner a table on a Monday night for her birthday with a note on the booking letting them know it was her birthday. All staff in the restaurant were absolutely amazing and didn't make a big fuss for her birthday and wished her a happy birthday and even gave us a card which was a small gesture but absolutely appreciative. Our waiter for the night was Steven and I cannot put into words how amazing he was, he walked us through the menu, brought a board with all the cuts of steak and showed us how big they are, what cuts would be best for us etc etc, he was absolutely unreal throughout the night and kept checking up and had really good conversations with us through the night even though Steven let us know that they were short staffed. The food was absolutely sublime and beyond any steak we've ever had and the sides were no slouch either which we absolutely loved. Overall I cannot recommend the butchershop high enough. Thank you for making my partners birthday amazing and letting us take home our leftovers”

“We came here on my 38th birthday. The food was excellent as was the Organic wine we had. We shared a Haggis Quesadilla to start. It was quite large you could have it as a main. I actually preferred this to the main we had. We then moved onto the Haggis Neeps & Tatties each as our main. It was great. Not 100% traditional but a nice modern twist on it. We spend £81 in total for 2 people to have a 2 course meal with a bottle of wine. That's fairly reasonably priced.”

“Great burger, but on the pricey end 8/10 A customisable burger experience, though the menu could be clearer on what counts as extras. The smashed patties and caramelised onions were standout, but the burger was slightly dry. Loved the sweet buns and crispy Cajun and garlic fries. Note: The small space fills with kitchen odours and parking is tough. Total was £40, a bit pricey due to unexpected topping charges. Worth a visit if nearby and craving a solid burger. Not great for parking if you’re not in the area.”

“What a wonderful surprise in the heart of Merchant City! I'm a huge fan of Turkiye and Turkish food, and stepping into this place is just like being transported abroad in the best way. The service is characteristically warm and friendly in that way that all Turkish people are, the food is exceptional, the complimentary bread is delicious, and the portions are huge. Delighted - I'll be back!”

“Excellent food and great service. Macaroni, Camembert bites and meatball spaghetti. All were excellent, good portions and prepared really well. We were there prior to a show and the place got really busy but the staff were flying about making sure everyone was attended to. Price is decent as well. Great little spot, will definitely be back.”

“We came to The McMillan for the first time last weekend and really enjoyed it! Steak was delicious and service was really good. The restaurant had a really lively atmosphere for 5 pm on a Saturday and although it was really busy, the service and food were still very much on point. Looking forward to coming back again soon!”

The food was unreal and the service was out of this world, our server Diane was so lovely and attentive nothing was too much for her and her chat was brilliant too. she made sure we had a wonderful evening and couldn’t have asked for more”

“We dropped in here mid-week. First time here, and we were looking for a light early dinner. We chose upstairs. Various deals were on ..lots of choice. I'd a lovely chicken salad starter; my wife had the buttermilk chicken dippers. Both dishes were delicious! Then for mains, I'd the Katsu Chicken Curry and the boss chose fish and chips. Well, the fish was the tastiest she'd had in a while - so tasty she actually finished it all despite it being a large portion! My dish was perfect too Too full for dessert, we'd a coffee and a tea. We both had soda water and lime. The bill came to just £37 ! Couldn't believe just how good value it was! The food is lovely; the service friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere just spot on Toilets lovely and clean. Well done to all the staff who really make this place stand out”

“Great food and service in a lovely room. We decided to order a variety of the street food options all of which were excellent. Portions are generous, so 5/6 options between two people was more than sufficient. Prices for the quality and quantity of food is very reasonable. I'd return next time I am in Glasgow. Location is very convenient for Kelvinbridge underground station.”
