This place never stops conquering my heart, the food remains incredibly tasty and delicious and the coffees are outstanding. Also, the portions are generous for a great price. The service is impeccable, kind and efficient. Overall, a pleasure to spend a nice Sunday morning with the new team :)”

“We came here for the first time this evening and we had a beautiful meal. We thought with it being part of the golf club it might be quite expensive but it was really reasonable. The portions were big and it was all homecooked and well presented. Everything was cooked perfectly. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.”

“Been to central 42 many times. Staff are always friendly. My wife is celiac and they have lots of gluten choices for her. The staff are usually very well informed about cross contamination. Loads of choices of delicious food. Good idea to book if its a Saturday or Sunday. But walked in and got a table lots of times aswell. Definitely recommend a visit”

“Wow just wow, from start to finish.. Came here with my mum for a bite to eat, we got more than a bite to eat. I took my food home with me as I had that much on my plate, absolutely amazing. The young lad behind the bar, really friendly, made us feel soo welcome, very polite, smiley, cheerful, the beer garden is lovely and cosy, I highly recommend this place and we will continue coming with our family as our local now.. Wouldn't go anywhere else!!”

“Absolute must eat here! Fantastic food and drink! The food was great and very authentic. The staff spent time with us to talk, recommend foods and even the owner came out to give us wine recommendations, to which we ended up loving and buying the bottle! Such an authentic Italian with a great family atmosphere great for all occasions. We will be back, I cannot wait to try the pizzas next, the pasta dishes we ordered were perfect, cooked to PERFECTION! Cannot wait to be back!”

“Very flavourful halibut plate and good deserts with excellent presentation. A good wine will not cost an arm and a leg, and the service is excellent. Previous review... Frites were floppy, but mussels marvelous. Best onion soup ever. Sure we will rate Cognac a five on our next visit. Service top notch. An authentic French atmosphere.”

“Thai Palace left an absolutely fantastic impression on us. From the moment we stepped inside, we were warmly greeted by the attentive staff, who made us feel truly welcome. The service was exceptional—efficient, friendly, and impressively quick. We were seated and served our drinks within a minute of arriving. The set lunch menu offers incredible value, with a starter and main course priced just under £15. Our food arrived remarkably fast, served piping hot and prepared with fresh ingredients. We waited less than 10 minutes for our starter, and our main followed shortly after. The presentation was equally impressive, showcasing great attention to detail. Though we typically opt for Chinese cuisine, this experience has completely won us over. The menu is extensive, and we are already planning our next visit to explore more dishes. The restaurant itself is stunning, featuring beautiful artwork, stylish tables, and elegant panelled walls. One standout detail was the impeccable cleanliness—it's clear that the staff take great pride in maintaining the space. Without a doubt, Thai Palace has become our new favourite restaurant. From the initial telephone query, through our arrival, our food, to leaving everything about the evening was fantastic. Great food in a great atmosphere and while some may say that the menu is limited, it is really a case of doing a smaller number of dishes very well. I only wish we lived closer as we would most definitely make it a regular thing.”

“I have been a customer for almost 15 years now and a favourite place of mine for a hot sandwich and a latte. Food is a tad on the expensive side, but the quality is great so can't grumble. I've always liked the décor of the shop and the staff are always friendly and up for a chat and a bit of banter. Highly recommend.”

“Put simply, outstanding. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely atmosphere and very clean. The food was amazing, fresh, cooked perfectly and extremely tasty. My daughter had a fresh made pizza (we watched the chef make it), and it's definitely one of the best pizzas I've tasted. She loved it. The salmon and lamb dishes were outstanding. The cheese board, well, I thought it was for sharing it was that big, no, it was an individual serving. It was amazing, along with lemon gellato and Eaton mess, it finished off the meal. All in all, it is very reasonably priced for what you get. I would highly recommend coming here.”

“On a very very wet and windy night out we had a great time at Sleepers. We received a great welcome and were shown to a pre booked dog friendly table. We'd also pre warned that one of our group had dietary issues and they couldn't have been more helpful in varying the menu to accommodate that. The waiter was amazing throughout, friendly, professional and delivering great service. The food was excellent - a varied menu catering for all tastes. No wonder the place was absolutely full resulting in a great atmosphere. An excellent night out.”

“We were first in the door at midday so atmosphere wasn't pumping. We'd just walked the dog up West Wood fields and enjoyed a lovely pint of Guinness and some chunky chips. Dog was welcome too. Staff were friendly and accomidating. We will be back again for a Sunday roast”

“Very nice food. Quite long waiting time considering we didn’t order anything too exciting but it was fairly busy. Chairs very uncomfortable but atmosphere was nice and food was great! Everything that came out looked amazing and our charcuterie and cheese board (there were hot meals on the menu, but we didn’t have time) was unbelievable and everything was of the highest quality. “Took my partner for a birthday spa break package. We absolutely loved it. It was more than what we expected. The spa facility was amazing, especially the treatments. The food was perfectly portioned and incredibly delicious. The service/Staff were super professional, I made a couple of special requests and without any questions, they make things happen.
