“We visited back in June for my husbands birthday & I have been meaning to leave a review because the evening was an absolute delight! The food, the staff & the atmosphere were all far beyond any expectations we had. Truly a little gem of a place, everyone was so very welcoming & the menu was absolutely divine, we cannot wait to visit again & work our way through the dishes we didn’t have room for!”

“We attended yesterday after the owner kindly reserved a table of 6 at short notice on a busy Sunday afternoon. Boothwood Inn is a very warm/welcoming place and very nice decor inside. The staff were very friendly and always happy to assist with anything, the owner takes time to speak with most people and is a very nice genuine guy. I ordered the roast beef dinner and I would honestly say this was one of the best dinners I have had (I told the owner I like fatty/well done beef) and when my dinner was brought out he also brought out a side plate of well done beef for me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. 10/10 for everything.”

“My wife and I had lunch and what a lovely meal it was. As it is a French restaurant I had Fish soup and it didn't disappoint. I have not had Fish soup for a long time and it brought all the memories back from going to France on holiday. I had Calves liver for my main course and it was beautiful. The price was good and reasonable. Would I recommend and return, I definitely would. If you like my honest reviews please follow me as I review on a regular basis.”

“Wow. What a place. Absolutely buzzing with atmosphere on a Thursday night. We didn’t order food (apart from a couple of packet of tasty Yorkshire Crisps) but the food & portions looked awesome. Great selection for all tastes (Carnie, Veggie & Vegan). We got the only two seats at the very narrow bar and had a right laugh with the no-nonsense bar crew. It was so easy to order drinks using a number on the display next to the bar. The beautiful wooden rafters and full taxidermy wall make the upstairs bar one of the maddest place to get a pint. I think there is a potato is a big cat’s mouth. Standard. Sheepskin covered church pew and candles in bottles with years of dripping wax adds to the madness. As well as the incredible selection of cask & keg, they had Whitby Rum on the shelf. No generic spirits here! Oh and the soundtrack… The bar crew were playing what they like. Not what the brewery tells them to. Refreshing! Can’t wait to return.”

“Visited here as part of York Restaurant Week. That chicken mandi was unbelievably tasty, can tell the right amount of seasoning was used. I could see the restaurant owner adjusting the lights to enhance the dining atmosphere, which I find very nice. I also had a soup with a spicy kick to it. Like others have commented, I never tried Yemeni food so made it even better.”

“My husband and I I went for dinner and had an incredible experience. Dishes are many and varied and all seem to be mouth-watering. We ordered gorgonzola-and-nuts gnocchi and mushroom ravioli and they were both absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was great, as was the service. A little bit pricier than other places, but totally worth it!”

“Just back home from a 2 night stay and it was fantastic. The rooms are modern, well thought out and clean. We ate in the pub on both nights, the food was very tasty and great value and the breakfasts were huge. The crowning glory however was the staff, attentive, friendly and helpful especially the Landlord. The bar was lively on both evenings as the sun was shining, everyone we met was very friendly. We will be back.”

“Call to the Glen view inn last week on a whim as we were hungry, and as it has been recommended, we thought we would give it a try. And we were not disappointed we both had starters and main courses and the food was excellent and the vegetables were cooked to perfection not soggy like in some other establishments we have had the displeasure to come across you won't find this here the portions were genuinely generous the lady who served us was very pleasant and looked after us well we will definitely be returning thank you for a lovely meal keep us the great standard.”

“Loved the discrete, speakeasy style entrance (via a barber's) to the bar. Great cocktails, fab music by the resident house band which culminated in a party atmosphere. Good fun!”

“We don't find ourselves in Leeds often but when we do we always visit Doner Summer. The food is excellent - the portions, the FLAVOURS so so good. I had the vegan spice bag and the flavour was great. The texture of the fried chicken was wonderful, and I really appreciated the softer tofu chunks for a variety of textures in the plate. My partner got a kebab and he devoured it. Got some tater tots to share and they were also the perfect crunchy but soft on the inside texture. Their own sodas are also incredibly tasty - i have a soft spot for the elderflower and apple one! The staff are always prompt and attentive, and I appreciate being asked if I'd like a to go box for left overs (we only had some tater tots left and were travelling so passed, but still a nice gesture to help combat waste as well). The price is also very fair for the quality and portions. Unsure when we will next be Leeds-way but if we are we look forward to being back again!”

I'm a believer in looking after small businesses like this, so if you're looking for a great burger, salad, steak and selection of sides and drinks then absolutely give this place a shot and you will not be disappointed.. Food is amazing with great choices of greek cuisine and a great atmosphere. Would be wise to book, as although not over busy when we went, i imagine it can be.”

“This is a venue you need to book a table for on weekends when events are on in Haworth. They found us a table for a drink in the past when we go for the annual Steampunk weekend. The service by all the staff is absolutely 1st class. I work in catering and seeing the way they deal with the publics questions and problems be assured you will be looked after by great people. A great comfortable atmosphere of a very old building with loads of character. Last but not least the food and drinks are amazing, tastes that you may not have tried before but you will want to go back and taste again. Book try it you will love it.”
