“My girlfriend has never had a matcha like it. I've never seen her so angry about other terrible matchas. Time after time she has had horrid tepid grass water with grit and placenta in it, no sweetener. Not from HERE. It was perhaps the most wonderful experience of maybe both of our lives. The man on the till with glasses was lovely and cordial, and we watched him make the drink as if we were watching a Christopher Nolan epic. Unbelievable scenes.”

“5 Star Customer Service. Stopped here on the way home from Scarborough with family, and the staff were amazing. Everybody working was so nice, smiling and saying Hi. Great service, loverly hot food and amazing coffee. But the staff service really won it. A really big Thankyou from all the family, we have a long drive home and your pleasantness and happy smiles perked us all up.”

“I always go here when at Batley Mills. Had various dishes and snacks but now get the Pie of the Day with veg and lovely gravy. It comes with chips but I ask for no chips as too much. It is always piping hot and really tasty. Never too busy and staff friendly.”

“Use this place for take away. You cannot eat in. There is only enough standing room for one couple to place an order, most then wait outside. Service is quick and they are always busy. Food is always hot and tasty.”

“Arrived slightly early and the man behind the desk was really kind and let us place our bags behind the bar until check in. The rooms and hotel as a whole were really clean. The room was tidy when we got in and when we needed extra toilet paper and towels the cleaning staff were really helpful and prompt. It’s also significantly quieter than I excepted with it being so close to the train station (I live near a train line) and above the bar below.”

“We walked in at 7pm on a half term holiday midweek. Place was not overly busy. But Hamza the waiter already told us they are short staffed and to bear with them. We didn't mind this as he forewarned us. After waiting 10 mins, he sat us down and took our order. Said all the food will arrive within 20-25 minutes which it did. Food was lovely and spot on. From the starters to the mains. They catered for my sons Nut Allergy as well (unlike Torros) and told us everything is freshly made and nothing is pre cooked etc. Mocktails are really nice as well.”

“Greeted on a dark, wet Sunday afternoon by a man with a smile and disposition of pure sunshine! I went to the takeaway on many recommendations and it didn’t disappoint. Mixed starter for two; huge and flavourful. Chicken and spinach masala and Meat Karahi desi style; incredible! Packed full of juicy, tender meat, spiced perfectly, not swimming in oil and great portions. Fluffy garlic naans and an amazing pickle tray to accompany the poppadoms. I can’t recommend Pioneer highly enough. Try it; your tummy will thank you!!!!”
