“Popped in here as it's close to one of my work's buildings. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the food and drink is excellent quality and value for money. They were very helpful with finding somewhere to charge my laptop. There are lots of vegetarian options. Can't fault.”

“Had a great experience and time at the cafe. All the reviews about the COUNCIL OWNED toilets and facilities are totally unjust because how’s it their job to deal with facilities that are not their responsibility. Overall the ice cream and drink I had were absolutely tasty and the atmosphere was quite friendly and the prices are fair for the selection on offer. The entertainment for kiddies is also given with a small table that has paper on it with some crayons, which I think is super cute. Really recommend the cafe for its food, especially the ice cream and it’s fun and friendly atmosphere!”

“Heard about this place so I tried it along with a few friends to be truly impressed by their food . They make the absolute best chana puri in town . Their saag is the real proper stuff not the tinned stuff almost all the big places fob you off with . It’s only a very small place but big in taste . True dedication home made traditional & authentic food . Very impressed I was & now I’m a regular .”

“I visit a lot of Sizzling pubs and so far this has been the best. Only visited for the first time on 24th October 2025. From the moment you walked in you could feel the warmth. A great friendly greeting from the landlady's husband and shown to our pre booked table. Ordering was easy. The starters came out fairly quickly and was hot. After a short wait between courses the mains came and they were very hot. Unlike many pubs they hadn't spent ages under a lamp. The gammon and pork chop was cooked perfectly. I would recommend this Sizzling pub to anyone. Thank you to all the staff for a memorable visit”

“Nice bar to be in. They do student discount which is great for me £3.25 for a cruz campo. I went to one of the darts comps which they do once a month. One of the best nights I've had in a while. Recommend highly good for all ages”

“Had a sandwich from here before and the large is literally HUGE! But I’m leaving a review for the breakfast I had delivered, proper value for money was £8ish with a drink I enjoyed every bit, the bread was tiger loaf I think the fried bread was quite greasy but it’s to be expected, Decent sausages which a lot of places in Castleford aren’t, I really rate this place!”

“Stopped here today for a truckers full English and i have to say it was 10/10. I had the large breakfast with bottomless tea and i didn’t leave feeling bloated like you sometimes do after a breakfast it was just right. All staff are friendly and welcoming l!! so it’s a massive thumbs up you will see me again at some point in the future.”
