βExcellent food unlike some places really friendly staff definitely 10/10β
βCosy place ran by people that truly care about the community and it's historyβ
βI would highly recommend these guys the best in the gameβ
βHad a yummy sausage and cheese sandwich was exactly what I needed after having blood tests it might be rear but I definitely want to go more I can definitely recommendβ
βI've only been once but the sandwich was good. Great old cafe.β
βWe went for a walk and decided to pop in. Grabbed a kids meal as we werenβt too hungry and it was great. Larger was lovely and the little pods outside are very nice. Great spot. We will be back.β
βFirst try at this place and was really impressed. The menu was tasty and healthy. I had the poached eggs on sourdough which was tasty and a fun mix of textures. Gf enjoyed the sweet potato hash. The matcha latte was great, not too sweetened. Decaf flat white was top notch. Friendly staff, good COVID measures (screens, wait at door to be seated), but I don't recall giving them my details for track and trace. Decor is well done if standard for a hipster place. Nice wooden floor, industrial ceiling - as you'd expect. High quality though. Would definitely go again.β
βHad a fantastic breakfast here this morning, the food was freshly cooked hot and tasty. The two girls working there couldnβt have been more helpful and kind. Just a great place to eat. Thanks very muchβ
βGolden acre is a beautiful park, albeit with some dodgy parking. But the tea room is gorgeous, sit on the terrace if the weather permits or inside the conservatory style tea rooms. Sandwiches are great, good bread and fresh ingredients and accompanying salad. The coffee was good however the flat white was not as strong as my personal taste would prefer. I have not tried the breakfast menu as it stops at 11 or 11:30 and I've only arrived just after. 5 stars if this was good and served all day.β
βBought a hot chocolate to take out. Really friendly service and lovely hot chocolate. Nice little cafe with sufficient seating and good food options.β
βNigellas provided an amazing spread for our funeral function. They arrived early and set up for us. The selection of food was impeccable and all packaged well ready for when we arrived at the function. All in all great service appreciate it!β
βA great cafe for breakfast, cooked hot and fresh to order. Theres always good banter with the staff and a few newspapers (well the Sun) to read.β
βAmazing service and venue! Just been for a baby shower. They accommodated last minute so well for my friend who had a nightmare with a venue that cancelled on her. Anyways it worked out for the best because the terrace was beautiful space! Super intimate and great on a sunnys day! Service was amazing from Ian who catered so well behind the bar and thank you so much for saving my dress with safety pins!β
βLovely hotel, last visited 6 years ago and still as good as it was the last time. Great vibe and ambiance, my room - a Club - was very large, extremely clean, and comfortable. Nice little touches like four Nespresso pods, fancy tea, nice biscuits and a couple of Ferraro Rochers. Beds incredibly comfortable, couldnβt hear any noise at all, and black out curtains kept out the light! It was my birthday stay and was pleasantly surprised to receive a voucher for two free cocktails in the hotel bar. The bartender was fab, environment was great - 10/10 all round for the stay and would def come back. Price/performance ratio excellent.β
βNice atmosphere friendly bar staffβ
βI stayed here for my first ever trip overseas, and this is my first time booking into a hotel. Amazing experience. At this hotel. Originally got there at 9 am and I thought I could check in early. Because my flight came in at 8. And I thought I could check in early. The reception said i canβt check in yet itβs too early but she held my suitcase and kept it safe for me when I went outside and explored Leeds city centre. I came back when I was closer to my time the chicken. I got my suitcase and checked into my room. .Itβs a good hotel room nice and spacious. Itβs exactly like an apartment you have everything you need like a microwave washing machine dishwasher stuffed top pots and pans etc. and they even give you dishwashing liquid. I know really beautiful of you. the bed was like the most comfiest hotel bed Iβve ever slept in. I also did enjoy the croissants and coffee in the morning in the reception. Those very nice not to have to buy breakfast every morning,. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe staying at this hotel. So I recommend coming here. You are very close to the city centre like a 17 minute walk if you donβt want to walk you can also take the bus thatβs only a minute walk from the hotel. Iβm definitely coming back to this hotel if I come back to Leeds.β
βI had a fantastic experience at Almost Famous in Leeds. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the visually appealing, urban-style decor that created an inviting atmosphere. What immediately stood out was the food. The burgers are a celebration of flavour, with juicy patties and perfectly balanced toppings that create a harmony of taste. Each bite was an absolute joy. The fries were another delightful surprise. Crisp, golden, and seasoned just right, they were the perfect accompaniment to the burgers. The cocktails deserve a special mention. Creative, beautifully presented, and packing a punch, they added a touch of sophistication to our dining experience. The taste was sublime, indicating a real talent behind the bar. However, I must say, the service could have been a tad faster. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, the waiting time for the food was a bit more than anticipated. I'd recommend having a bit of patience when you visit, but I assure you, the food is worth the wait. Later in the evening, the music volume increased, which made conversation a little challenging. But if you're a fan of lively atmospheres, this might actually add to your experience. In conclusion, Almost Famous delivers a deliciously memorable culinary experience, albeit with a slightly slow service and loud music. But, if you're up for excellent burgers, tasty fries, and outstanding cocktails, you should certainly give it a try!β
βBrilliant large breakfast or Β£7.75 including coffee and 2 slices of toast.β
βWe loved having lunch at The Botanist! We really enjoyed the meat and the dessert, but one dish stood out β the cauliflower! It was incredibly delicious! We didnβt try it this time, but we saw that thereβs an option to pay a fixed fee and get unlimited drink refills β it seems like a great choice to enjoy with friends. The service was excellent, and we would definitely go back!β
βWonderful place to have the best and big English Breakfast in Leeds. The only problem here is the parking. It does not have its own parking. And the coffee nice but too small.β
βAs I'm from Newcastle I travelled to Leeds for business and was buzzing to find an O'Neills there. Soon as a walked in the guys where amazing and great open space with big screens for sports and could tell was a real buzz around the place , then we looked at the menu and the wing platter was the one we chose absolutely incredible and 3kg platter of wings was a proper topper so yes job well doneβ
βI had a brilliant time ordering pizzas for our office event! The food was top-notch, and everyone raved about how tasty it was. The service was on point too; the team checked in on us and made sure everything was cleared away quickly. The atmosphere was perfect for our gathering, and I really appreciated the warm thank you at the end. Can't wait to order from here again!β
βCalled in this morning because they have started offering Gluten free. Order was taken quickly by a helpful and cheery lady, food is cooked to order, none of this reheated stuff. Wide choice on the menu, and will be offering the Government discount scheme too. A very pleasant breakfast trip.β
βWent in not wanting anything heavy so they had a selection of cold sweets to have with a coffee. Millionaire shortbread was very nice and the service and welcome was a cut above. Also nice to see them give school holiday kids a bit of a go. It is clearly valued as a place by the community. Great place.β
βWe had a really lovely meal, remembering my father-in-law on what would have been his birthday. The food was amazing, and we were really looked after well by the staff. All 3 courses were delicious.β
βA gorgeous and very well priced coffee. Such a better atmosphere, price, and coffee than the chains. Friendly staff who were very kind and open to my friend with learning disabilities, which always leaves a good impression.β
βCame up from London and had great food, drink and company talking with the staff and Richard. The food was homely, delicious and value for money in a great setting. Hope to return in 2026.β
βBrilliant food and the people are excellentβ
βHad a large breakfast here this morning, Β£6 so very reasonably priced with a hot drink or can included. Was delicious and piping hot when served. Would come again.β
βNew favourite place for breakfast, so nice! I had the breakfast wrap and a latte, super high quality product.β
