“Best haircut I’ve got. Zee has outdone himself both times I’ve been, each better than the last. Wouldn’t go to a different barber again”
“I recently visited Loake in Leeds to purchase some dress shoes for my friends wedding. This was my first time purchasing shoes from Loake and I will definitely be returning in the future. After getting over the shock of my small shoe size (usually size 9, which in Loake size translates to a 7), I tried on a lovely pair of Buckingham shoes and my bruised ego was instantly restored. The service from Matt was impeccable throughout, lending some useful fashion advice in addition to helping me choose a suitable shoe. The store was quite quiet when I attended, so I also got to chat with Morgan whose character added to the experience. Lovely pair of chaps, cannot recommend their service enough!”

“We went with our 9 year old boy and we all loved it! There were roughly 20 people on the tour in total, with 3 volunteers/guides so plenty of options to ask questions about the different items. There's a huge mix of things, including taxidermy, artwork, historical items and even a cross section of a meteorite! It felt really special being 'behind the scenes' seeing items in racking and boxes, and the group being relatively small meant everyone got to see what was on display easily. Will definitely go back as items change as and when things are loaned out.”
“My friends and I came to see the afternoon performance of a Christmas Carol on 14/12/25. This is one of my favourite films so the performance had a lot to live up too! It did not disappoint. Reece Dinsdale as Scrooge was outstanding. The whole cast was excellent as were the props (especially the ghost of Christmas future) All in all a lovely, entertaining afternoon. There was absolutely nothing to disappoint us. Thank you to all concerned in the production and the staff of the playhouse.”
“Good size. Not absolutely massive but cosy and a good number of seats. Well decorated. Well maintained, doesnt feel like its falling to bits like some theatres do. Good temperature (it was cold outside, we were warm enough for coats off but not sweating), good sound and view. Good location -easy for taxis to drop off but still near city centre”
“Excellent service from Samantha and I think it was Ann. After a poor experience at the Trinity store the customer service at the Elland Road store renewed my faith in good customer service. Well done!”
“Absolutely love the Irish Centre on York Road Leeds. The building is lovely clean and tidy, staff are polite and friendly. The entertainment and Tribute acts are brilliant and it has a great dance floor. And apparently on a Saturday evening now they have live music every week so get out of the house while your still breathing and able.. Enjoy Life.”
“Having been to the Leeds store to make a purchase, I asked a member of staff whether they had any spare shoe boxes I might have - for several years I have been sending welfare parcels to British troops in Afghanistan and was in need of more boxes. Over the past few years of visiting the shop to collect these shoe boxes, I have found all the staff to be extremely kind, courteous, helpful and very friendly. Their dealings with customers are always of the highest standard, and I look forward to my visits as it's always a pleasure to chat with them when they are not dealing with customers.”
“Leeds Town Hall is a breathtaking architectural masterpiece nestled in the heart of the city. Stepping inside, I was immediately struck by the grandeur of its Victorian-era design, complete with magnificent columns, intricate detailing, and a stunning concert hall. The building exudes a sense of history and importance, making it a must-visit for both tourists and locals alike. I had the pleasure of attending a performance in the concert hall, and the acoustics were truly exceptional, adding to the overall ambiance of the experience. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or the arts, Leeds Town Hall is a cultural gem that should not be missed.”
“Loved this place, room perfectly formed and everything we needed. The staff were so lovely, Adam helped us settle in and leah was just amazing every time we spoke! Definitely recommended. Oh please fix coffee machine though we enjoyed our complimentary coffee and croissant first day but couldn't get the next. Get a balcony room if you can, the pic is of the view.”
“Some great deals on shirts and accessories. Good fir pressies. Great staff, friendly and helpful. One small negative was being in a wheelchair aisles are quite narrow but still accessible.”
“Nice atmosphere friendly bar staff”
“Haven't stayed in a bedroom here but had a great works Xmas do last Friday. Food was lovely and service was friendly. The DJ additionally played some very good music. Free parking after 18:00 round the corner on Sweet Street which feels safe enough especially as I have an older vehicle. Those who stayed over reported a positive experience with the rooms, the blackout curtains being a godsend on Saturday morning.”
“First time staying here. Cheap and cheerful, perfectly clean, comfy, great central location. Highlight was the lovely girl Lia on front desk who was so friendly, made us feel so welcome, great humour. Really impressed with her customer service. 10/10. Will be staying here again”
“I visited this store on Fri 9th October 2026 to buy a birthday present for a very special person - my future Son in Law. 9th October 2025 was a very special day - it was Mental Health Day. As I stood in the queue at the checkout desk I spent time reading a notice stuck to the customer facing side of the til. That notice explained that if you are struggling to mention it to a staff member because their shop is a "safe place," and someone will help you! A massive thanks to the Leeds United Shop staff and Manager for making sure those who are struggling, for whatever reason, are given a space and a listening ear offering support. However you could maybe make your notice a little bit bigger. If I hadn't been waiting I wouldn't have been stood staring at the counter and seen it. Remember "it's good to talk"!”
“10/10 customer service, many thanks to stella and eleanor helped me find some 10/10 kit”
“I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Toby Carvery! The food was delicious — everything was perfectly cooked and fresh, with generous portions and plenty of choice at the carvery. But what really made our visit stand out was the service. Our waitress, Erin, was outstanding from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Her warm attitude and genuine care really made the meal extra special. It’s rare to find such great customer service these days, but Erin truly went above and beyond. We’ll definitely be coming back — thank you to Erin and the team for a fantastic visit”
“Excellent Childrens’ Theatre. Brilliant plays performed by talented young people and adults. As a family we have always attended their shows at The Carriageworks Theatre, which are affordable and amazing entertainment for the whole family. We simply love the LCT! Carry on doing what you are doing because it is great.”
“Fantastic place to stay. Great location and facilities. York is the best, already booked to stay again!”
“A Stunning Transformation with Exceptional Service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Met Leeds, and I cannot recommend it enough! The hotel has been newly refurbished, and the results are absolutely breathtaking. You can see the care and detail that went into this newly refurbished property the moment you walk through the door. The interior design perfectly balances the building's historic charm with a fresh, modern, and high-end feel. My room was part of the newly refurbished collection, and it was flawless. Everything from the stylish decor to the brand-new fixtures felt premium and incredibly comfortable. It is clear that the newly refurbished spaces have been designed with the modern traveler in mind, offering both luxury and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The highlight of my arrival, however, was the incredible welcome at reception. Charlotte was an absolute star! She is an incredible host—professional, warm, and so helpful. She made the check-in process seamless and went above and beyond to make me feel at home in the newly refurbished surroundings. Her passion for the hotel and its newly refurbished features really shone through. If you are looking for a place to stay in Leeds, you have to experience this newly refurbished gem. Between the stunning newly refurbished rooms and the world-class service from hosts like Charlotte, it’s easily the best hotel in the city!"”

“Nice friendly people, quick service and great value. Wish all places were like this.”
“I love the design of its buildings, the tranquility of being on the university campus, and how accessible it is to get there.”
“I had an issue with my shoulder for years. After having a particularly bad episode the wife convinced me to come down to Castle Clinic to get it sorted. It turned out it was actually an issue with my neck. If you have an issue with neck or shoulder pain like I did, I’d highly recommend getting an appointment here. Charlotte who helped me with my neck was really lovely, helpful and professional. Not only did she give treatment on the appointment but also helped me to make some really good exercise & changes to help with my neck issues.”
“After trying chiropractitioners for a few months and no real results, I was recomended to try Morley Acupuncture. The results have been unbelievable, in a good way! Becka is highly skilled, not just with acupuncture but also with the manipulation of muscles. My first visit to Becka was with a hip problem which she resolved within 2 to 3 visits. I have since been back with tension in my shoulders and lower back, again, this was sorted within a few visits. I would recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone who has similar problems. Valerie Bell.”
“I have been using Recent Beans for nearly 3 years now, the service is brilliant, you can tell the care, love and passion that is put in. More importantly than that the coffee selection is amazing, in scope and quality. One thing I need to add is that I have had to switch to decaf recently, and i spent ages searching for a decent Instant (to no avail) as our stock of the good stuff was used, then we switched to the Recent Beans decaf, all i can say is wow its amazing!!! So coffee lovers or decaf hunters this is the place for you I honestly can not recommend their service, there decaf or their other coffees enough”
“I went on a ghost and history tour with Dan, and I had an amazing time. His way of storytelling was very entertaining and enthusiastic. He really got you invested in the stories. Besides that he just had a great sense of humor. He was always open for questions in between stories, and he could answer them really well. Definitely worth it!”
“Kevin was such a knowledgeable guide! We really enjoyed the two-hour walking tour, and it’s amazing that it was all free through the Association of Voluntary Guides of York. He took us along the Roman walls and explained the timeline of when the Romans and Vikings arrived in York, which made the city’s history so much easier to picture. Such a great way to see York definitely support these volunteers if you get the chance!”
