“We were so delighted with our recent experience at the Turkish restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish showcasing authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. “I’m lucky to say I’ve Lost count of how many visits we’ve made to this very special place. Every single time we visit EVERYTHING is 10/10. The food is divine and the staff make each visit so wonderful and memorable for us and it makes us want to visit time and time again. There is no other place in this city that will ever beat the dining experience of the art school. The food is not only delicious but each plate is a work of art lovingly made and delivered by some incredibly talented and friendly staff, it was lovely to see some familiar faces and had the pleasure of meeting some of the new members of the team last night, all who made our visit wonderful once again, thank you for a lovely time, as always ❤️”

“We popped to Hoole a few weeks back and had seen this restaurant and said we'd come back and try it. So we did and oh my days it was so delicious. The portion sizes were huge. There is an option to choose half portions which I thought was a lovely idea and great for lunch times if you didn't want a big meal. We will definitely be coming back”

“We’ve been to Chez Jules in Chester to celebrate our 10th anniversary. And what an incredible experience we’ve had there. It was a great surprise, we had delicious food and Ula who was our waitress delivered an impeccable service, she was extremely friendly and kind. “Just home from a lovely Sunday evening out with my partner and daughter (6). We had the meat mezedes (banquet) and as always it was lovely and gives you the opportunity to try over 20 different dishes. It was a great variety and high quality food. Our daughter even tried some of ours which she doesn't do very often. It was a big thumbs up from her! There are a couple of children's meal options and are really good portion sizes. Staff are lovely and kind. They make a real effort every time we've been. They do takeaway (collection only), live music some evenings, and early diners specials on certain days too.”

“It is extraordinary and the best restaurant in this area. Despite the fact that for 2 years in England we were disappointed in restaurants, but we really liked this restaurant. A pleasant atmosphere, excellent service staff, an incredible owner who personally approaches each table and cares about the fact that everyone was comfortable and tasty. We travel often and have enough experience to give this establishment the highest rating. I recommend this cozy restaurant for a pleasant time spent with family and friends. I wish the owners, despite their no longer young age, good health, generous guests and further development in this difficult business of running a restaurant business.”

“Visited mid week. Throughly enjoyed an evening meal. We had tapas which was really tasty. We have dined here before and always been very satisfied. Efficient, friendly and attentive service. Great food and value for money. Highly recommended.”

“I'm giving Nicks at Turton Goft Club 5 stars despite not actually eating there. We'd booked in but it was the evening that it snowed quiet heavily so only some of us reached it as it's situated on the tops in the open, and as it continued snowing we decided to leave and re- book. However, the menus looked great, see attached photos, and Nick himself greeted us and offered to drive us to the back to the restaurant if we wanted to leave our cars at the end of the lane, however, we declined as not all of us have made it there. Nick was very warm and friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be booking again.”

“First visit to the high street location, used to go to Myrtle Parade. I'm kicking myself for not coming sooner. Went early doors, and the staff could not have been more helpful. My friend, who loves her Greek food, said the Tahini starter was the best she has ever had, and her pork kebab was delicious. I had hummus and a grilled sardine main. It was stunning, it takes a chef of some skill to serve up fish so well cooked. Hot bread, chips, and rice and salad, finished off with sharing a dessert. Carafes of excellent house red. Could not fault any aspect. The bill was £72 ! I was expecting it to be considerable more. Just wonderful value.”

“Our first time here celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Table of 8. Absolutely wonderful, food was amazing and reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere. Even brought a little cake and sparkler out which was such a lovely surprise. Can’t wait to go back”

“Great place to stay if you are planning a visit to local tourist attractions - e.g., Rufford Hall - or fancy a weekend break in beautiful countryside. The hotel is a relatively new build whose exterior has been carefully designed to be in keeping with the local properties, but with a modern look and feel inside. I am not sure if there is a lift to reach the first floor where the rooms are located. We had to use stairs, and what this meant for people with limited mobility or accessibility needs did occur to me. The bedrooms are a good size, with a comfortable bed. The only downside we had with the room was the temperature. With the increasingly warm weather we have been having, and we stayed on a hot day, the absence of air con was noticeable. This is clearly a popular venue for locals as well as hotel guests which is always a good sign. The staff were wonderful, feels like it may be family run? Breakfast was amazing! Have the full English because the sausages and bacon (I suspect) were locally sourced and delicious! Thank you!”

“Called in ivo all the rave reviews of this establishment & found them to ACCURATE! My wife & I called in for an early evening meal midweek Can honestly say that the food was mouthwatering good. Such a large menu to choose from gives room to explore new culinary experiences at a modest cost. Service was excellent. Will be returning soon!”

Stavros was incredibly polite and friendly on the phone, and that same warm attitude continued when we arrived — he greeted us with a smile and guided us to our table with genuine hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented, and it was clear that a lot of care went into the cooking. Combined with the welcoming atmosphere, the whole experience was truly fantastic. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be returning!”

“Another fabulous dinner at The White Horse. You can tell the ingredients are of a high quality and the food is prepared with appreciation and great attention to detail. The flavours are stunning and each dish seasoned to perfection. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the evening. A very well run establishment and deserves to do so well. “We had a a delightfully delicious lunch today at Juniper. The food was cooked to perfection for both of our meals with lovely flavours. We were so impressed we are looking forward to celebrating our Golden Wedding anniversary later on in the year with our family of foodies, but will obviously visit again before then. Particular favourite of mine was the pork belly which was tender and so tasty. It was nice to meet the talented chef at our table and Rob made our experience very comfortable with the right amount of welcome, service and information. A great introduction to this little gem. “Lovely place, took my daughter for her birthday, she’s pescatarian and there was a good choice for her. We had the roast beef Sunday lunch which was really well cooked and pink as we like it. My daughter had the herb crusted cod which looked lovely, she cleared her plate. Wine was of good quality, all in all a brilliant place for a special occasion. Portions are very big and I couldn’t finish mine regretfully as it was delicious.”

“Came for a meal out with family. Our server was really attentive, friendly and helpful. One of our party was Coeliac (gluten free) and he walked her though each option - loads of choice, all pasta and pizza GF options. Really nice food and drink, atmosphere was great. Definitely recommend!”
