“I visited Lounge India in Marston Moretaine last week for a catch-up dinner with some close friends, and it turned out to be such a great evening. The staff were really helpful with recommendations, and everything we ordered was spot on. If you’re unsure what to go for, I’d definitely suggest letting them guide you. To start, we shared a few plates — the tandoori king prawns were absolutely delicious, the vegetable samosas were crisp and full of flavour, and the paneer tikka was a big hit with everyone at the table. We also tried the mixed grill, which was packed with different meats and cooked beautifully. For mains, I went for the chicken tikka masala, which was rich and creamy, while one of my friends had the lamb balti that was full of spice and depth. Another stand-out was the prawn korma, which was wonderfully smooth and fragrant. We paired everything with a mix of pilau rice, mushroom rice, and some fresh naan breads — the garlic naan in particular was incredible. I’ve been a few times before, and the warm welcome from the staff is always consistent, which makes the experience even better. My friends really enjoyed their evening, and it was a perfect spot for us to relax, eat, and have a good time. I’d definitely recommend Lounge India to anyone looking for authentic Indian food in a friendly setting.”

“So so pleased with absolutely everything about this place! Me and my partner spontaneously decided at 10:20 that we wanted to go for an Indian somewhere, we rang and asked if we could still be seated in the restaurant as it was so late and they said they were happy for us to come in. We arrived with beautiful service greeted at the door shown to our table, seen to in perfect timing, drinks and poppadoms were delivered quickly. The food was absolutely superb everything was delicious and fresh, we took everything we couldn’t finish home with us and we can’t wait to go back!”

Had a lamb madras and chicken madras - the restaurant adjusted the heat of the latter for my guest. Good range of drinks. Kingfisher and Cobra beer and spirits, liqueurs etc. Food served at table on heated metal plates. Gave us a free side dish (sag aloo). Little chocs at end. I always come here when staying in the area. Nice evening.”

“What a great little place! We stayed for a night whilst visiting Santa Pod. On arrival, Bobby came to meet us, showed us where we were staying, and gave us our keys. There were a couple of rooms accessed from the side of the establishment via a locked door, which you were provided a key for along with your room key. Once inside, there was a communal area with iron and board, Bobby's contact details should we need them and the WiFi info. From here, there was access to a shared kitchen we could make use of, which was very clean. It had all the amenities you could want. Then there were also the entrances to the rooms. Our room was brilliant, with what looked like a queen size bed. Which was amazing! It was decorated very tastefully and impeccably tidy throughout. The ensuite was exceedingly clean. We had our evening meal at the Spice Tree, Indian Restaurant, which shared the premises. The food was so delicious, and the staff were lovely and friendly. All in all, a great stay which I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thanks Bobby!”

“I'm American here to visit family. I always come here cause it's close and delicious. Naan is great, lamb Naga, lamb Madras. Some of the sauces are a bit sweet but it seems most currys in the UK are sweeter than in the US. The only other thing is the spelling is off from what I know on the menu. I thought it was a UK thing but the grocery stores go by Panner not Poner. I asked for Basmati rice but he had never heard of it. Perhaps it's my accent. It's plain rice here.”
