“Great outdoor pool when the weather's nice. Great value”
“Great spot for lunch. Friendly service and good value for money. If you plan to check out the Fort it's a nice spot to stop for a meal or a light snack. They also sell drinks, chocolate bars and other light items you can take with you of you are out hiking.”
“The only pool we take our granddaughter. She has only just learnt to swim, and its not crowded which makes it easier for her.”
“First time visiting today but definitely won't be the last! Great setup and facilities for the dogs (and their humans!) Without a doubt the best dog walking field we've visited so far!”
“It's a pleasant walk up the tor, not challenging. Views from the top are great, perfect place to sit and contemplate the nature and life :) Best to park at Pork Hill Car Park (free to park) and the walk is about 45-60 min via the Windy Post Granite Cross at moderate pace.”
“Wonderful SW wilderness, fantastic breathing space at any time of year. WW boating, climbing, mountain biking, trail running, hiking and wild camping. Such a magical place”
“Great place to picnic and if you're brave swim, the cliff opposite the common if fun to jump off if you're careful”
“Brilliant we took out pup there to practice recall. Easy to use. Secure fields. Will bring him back and utilise the pool at some point thanks.”
“I HAVE BEEN SWIMMING HERE FOR THREE YEARS. I GO TO THE " GENTLE SWIM" IT IS PERFECT FOR ANYONE WHO IS OLDER OR JUST WANTS GENTLE EXCERCISE. THE STAFF ARE INCREDIBLY KIND AND FRIENDLY. I AM 71 YEARS OF AGE AND NOT AT ALL INTIMIDATED BY LESS THAN YOUTHFUL LOOKS. VERY CLEAN POOL.”
“A nice walk beside the river Erme. Wide pathways. Dog friendly. Can be muddy during the winter months. The river flows quite fast and noisy so take extra care with children.”
“We have been coming here for years. Great staff, Abby is incredibly helpful and kind. Wonderful place, lovely pool, great for nervous and confident kids. Great food and coffee, absolutely love it here!!!”
“Hidden Valley is a fantastic and picturesque place for the whole family. From solving riddles and discovering hidden passages in an old forgotten mansion to walking along scenic trails filled with fun tasks and activities – there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Children, both young and older, will love the amazing playground, and the short ride on a small train adds an extra touch of charm. All of this is surrounded by a beautiful and peaceful pine forest, creating the perfect setting for a day full of adventure and exploration. Highly recommended for families looking to spend quality time together in nature!”
“We don’t know if this is documented but we found a grave / tomb, not far from the entrance of park, alongside the beginning of the river. Does anyone know anything about this? It is very distinct, it has a lid/cover and two parts, slightly overhanging the river whilst the rest of it is held in place by the terrain. I cannot find any info on this.”
