“What an enjoyable experience, I was apprehensive about going to a pub. But I found Covid19 followed to the letter. The staff were most welcoming, nothing too much trouble. I had the Sunday lunch, all the vegetables were fresh and it was presented well, the meat was delicious, I was only going to stay for the one drink, three drinks later!!! I will definitely be going back next Sunday, great value for money,enjoyable experience and I am stuffed!”

“Really friendly waitress Karen was very attentive, especially for allergies. When i got home, i realised I hadn't registered my number plate & was unsure exactly how long we'd been in the restaurant so rang & spoke to Mo. He was super helpful, took down my details & promised to sort. I can't thank him enough as it would be a really expensive meal if I was fined! Happy Xmas to Bagshot Cricketers!”

“I had the best lunch here the other day. I really enjoyed my chicken burger and pudding. I asked for a custom order for my sundae and it was no problem for them, they made a delicious one. Good choice of food, lovely staff. Sometimes I find beefeater to be a bit hit and miss but my recent experience here was brilliant.”

“The Monks Retreat is a lively spot that’s great for a casual drink or a meal with friends. The atmosphere is welcoming with plenty of seating and a good mix of locals and visitors. Drinks are well priced with a wide range of beers, ciders and spirits, and the food menu covers all the pub classics at decent value. Service is friendly and quick even when it gets busy, and the overall vibe makes it an easy place to relax for a couple of hours.”

“Visited recently for breakfast with a group of friends. The breakfast is all you can eat, but served freshly cooked. It’s great value for money, as you are able to have the continental and the cooked. Our waitress Georgia was very attentive and friendly, ensuring that the breakfast was served quickly as one of our party had to leave. Would visit again”

“Visited the Spruce Goose in Basingstoke and had a brilliant experience from start to finish. Mum enjoyed the sea bass, which was beautifully cooked, and I had the mixed grill — generous portions and full of flavour. Our waiter, Adam, was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the meal even more enjoyable. A great place for a relaxed meal with excellent service. Highly recommend!”

“Best Kebab in Wokingham! Food was delivered fast and hot. The portion sizes are huge; me and my partner ordered a mixed kebab each, with proper chip shop chips and chicken wings. The food was super tasty! We called to add on extra sauces and that wasn’t a problem at all. Would definitely recommend and we will defo be ordering again! Yum!!!”
