“Beautiful food. Me and my partner shared 3 small plates and then had a burger as well. Everything was delicious and well cooked and flavoured. Burnt ends were incredible!!!!! Service was also 10/10, Ryan was attentive throughout, couldn’t fault him.”

“We visited to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was our first visit following recommendations from friends and it did not disappoint! The photo does not do it justice! The food (and wine) from start to finish was delicious. Such an amazing menu with so much to choice. The staff were also so helpful and friendly. The restaurant itself is also beautifully designed. A really enjoyable experience! I would highly recommend. We will definitely be visiting again.”

“We had another fantastic experience at Miller & Carter! The service is always excellent, but this visit was especially wonderful thanks to our waitress Ruth, who was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel so well looked after throughout our meal. She really went above and beyond to make the evening special. The food was, as always, top quality if you are a carnivore like my partner but I’m a vegetarian and the only criticism would be the vegan burger patty - Linda Mcartney patties would be a great reference point taste wise to change it up! I do have to give a special mention to the chocolate brownie dessert, which was absolutely phenomenal! The one pic I took haha… Rich, indulgent, and the perfect way to finish off the meal. Not to mention excellent presentation! We’ve never not had great service here, and tonight was no exception. Thank you to Ruth and the whole team for another memorable visit — we’ll definitely be back soon!”

“Took my favourite summer rolls as a starter, they were fantastic. Rich taste of peanut sauce perfectly combined with mild taste of the prawns. Delicious! As a main I had steak pho, it was yummy. I was really happy with generous amount of well done steak. Noodles were cooked perfectly, they were not overdone and melted in my mouth. I would also like to mention Margherita, who was really friendly and helpful, she even helped me to charge my phone. Great service! Thank you guys.”

“Hey! This place is nicely & warmly welcoming. The food is cooked right (beef) and portions are quite large balancing the price. The staff is polite and wouldn’t rush you, altogether in a family atmosphere. Large car park, large beer garden in the back along with some tables out in the front, large tables, large and clean toilets - so overall all quite ‘largely’ impressed. Give it a try!”

“Visited Miller & Carter Basingstoke today for a late evening dinner. Upon arrival swiftly seated and starting drinks were delivered promptly. Our server Sam was attentive and on the ball. Frequently checking to ensure food was fine & we had sufficient drinks to pair with our food. Once finished our food in no time at all the table was cleared and we were offered desert menu and refreshing drinks. Showing Sam's keen eye of attention noticing immediately our mains had been finished. Food was excellent and arrived in good time. Flavoured and seasoned to perfection. Again no fault whatsoever here.”

“Had such a great time at LaFontana!! This is my first time visiting England from the US, and I was amazed by the food and service that I went to get the same meal two days in a row. The menu is exceptional, you can literally get anything you want, they got burger, pizza, steak, and even seafood! I’d go there every day if I could!”

“Yes, it is very safe place for dine in for families. Staff are very nice. There is a disable toilet in the restaurant. Free parking is available behind the restaurant. We had koftae kebab with turkish bread and chips. It was tasty and freshly grilled.”

“As expected, the food here was excellent. The steaks were cooked well and the seafood was tender. You do have to pay extra for fries which can make it quite expensive, but it's worth it. After the meal, we were surprised with a slice of cheesecake for the birthday girl which was an unexpected treat. We really appreciated the gesture. The servers were excellent and very friendly, but the gentleman behind the bar came across as a bit standoffish. Definitely worth a visit if you fancy a treat.”

“This place is incredible, it has a fantastic mixture of dinning and drinking. The food is amazing from the starters to the deserts. I’ve been many of times and I am never afraid to change my order as every single food on the menu is just cooked to perfection. My kids also loved their food but more importantly they loved the staff, the staff are very friendly and warming, Leo the gentleman that runs it is one of the nicest guys I’ve met and he was the reason I started going there. He worked at another restaurant a few years ago and because of his great service he provided, me and my wife had to follow him on his new ventures. Honestly if you need a good affordable lunch, date night, family dinner or even a drink this place is a must. Thank you Leo and the team for being amazing!”

“A beautiful place to relax and have food and drink. Im adding this review in 2025 August. We stopped here for a coffee and relaxing in the front garden. It was absolutely a great experience. Staff are so attentive, polite and the service is very good. We loved our espresso and hot chocolate with shortbread biscuits. We go go back for a full menu sometime soon. The tird time, we had dinner and I shared photos. Great service and lovely food. I would go back again with a group to have another lovely experience. Thanks to Rebecca and other staff who served us, and the chefs.”

“My wife and I feel like we’ve grown up with Heaven’s Kitchen. They now have a few branches but this is the original location. It opened just after we moved to the area. As we were refurbishing our house at the time and had a long time without a kitchen, we had to eat out lot during that time. So, we got to know the staff well In those early days, the weakness was consistency as they seemed to go through quite a few chefs. Still, we loved the bruschetta and mushroom risotto, which sadly aren’t on the menu any more Yesterday, we came back after not coming for awhile. Service was a bit slow but very friendly - there were just 2 staff working flat out. The food was really tasty. Bone marrow, seafood linguine and ribeye steak were all wolfed down Great to see HK flourishing”

“Had a lovely visit to Miller and Carter today. We were served by Joe who was a lovely, friendly and happy. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. I had the duck and mango salad and it was very tasty (just slightly to many chillies). We were there to celebrate my son's graduations and a birthday and they brought over free desserts for both and sang happy birthday. Brilliant visit and will definitely visit again.”

“You will find it hard to get a better place to eat or drink..The ambience is delightful along with the food and staff. Warm fires in the winter months or enjoy peaceful outdoor countryside seating in the summer, with a ford close by for the children to paddle in. Also very dog friendly. 10/10”

“My family and I visited The Shurlock Inn for the first time as it was suggested to me by a colleague at work. We were greeted by the team and very quickly placed our orders. I would say we must have waited max 10-15 mins for the food to arrive at our table! We chose to go for Sunday roasts which were beautifully presented, everything tasted so fresh. We also went for desserts. Again, everything was presented nicely and tasted excellent. Our only thing which could be improved potentially is the thickness of the gravy/custard as these both seemed on the watery side. I did not let this reflect the rating as everybody has their own preference for gravy! We definitely will return. Thank you again. Courtney & Family.”

Jason and the team made sure our special day went flawlessly and truly was the most beautiful day of our lives! The service was 12/10! The food was 12/10! The attention to detail was incredible. They knew the seating plan and which guest had which dish, they accommodated our request for gaps in between courses and they just genuinely provided the most incredible experience anybody could wish! The venue is beautiful and honestly I can’t recommend them enough! I would give 6stars if I could. We will definitely be coming back!”

“Fantastic Thai Cuisine with Authentic Flavors! I had an amazing experience at Thai corner ! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance. The menu offers a great selection of authentic Thai dishes, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced with a hint of sweetness and a nice tang, while the chicken satay had the perfect level of spice with rich, peanut creamy flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. We also tried the Banana Fritter and Thai Pandan pancake for dessert, which was the perfect way to end the meal—sweet, fragrant, and absolutely delightful. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food and experience. If you’re looking for an authentic Thai dining experience, I highly recommend Thai Corner! “Well, that was ridiculous. I haven't had a meal that good in years and as a takeaway never. we had the pit box platter and all of it was great (honorable mentions to the pork, link and chip seasoning) but the brisket is just incredible. I spent years eating bbq in America and Canada and theirs is just right up there. I could eat that breakfast, lunch and dinner. The effort that goes into meat that good and it needs to be appreciated. portion size is generous and the quality is outstanding. can't praise enough they will see us again”
