“Excellent selection of craft beers served by a great team. Atmosphere is always friendly and cosy. Very dog friendly and not a single Carling in sight.”
“A real British pub full of real British locals pop in and have a pint .. lots of love lads .. lucky”
“Great bar - spent New Year’s Eve here and the staff were so welcoming and kind even though it was a v busy night for them! Atmosphere was great, we had so much fun!”
“Fantastic pub with a really nice beer garden serving top class beers I will definitely visiting again.”
“Very friendly place we will be back ☺️”
“went for bottomless brunch with nine pals on the weekend. super speedy service - we literally never had an empty drink and you definitely get your money's worth with the deal!! the food was a great portion too - kept you full but not loads of food leftover. three of us weren't drinking and the venue let us order from the normal food menu rather than the bottomless brunch menu which was really appreciated! lots of vegan and vegetarian options too. mikela deserves a special mention - she served us both times ive been and has always been super lovely and smiley and attentive!”
“The very best traditional pub for the very best pie anywhere, we go every fortnight and would go more if work didn't get in the way. Never disappointed ever.”
“Such a cozy spot with delicious food! The atmosphere is super warm and inviting, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect place for a chill meal or date night. Just make sure to book a reservation ahead of time, it fills up quickly, especially on weekends!”
“Great pub and atmosphere. Owners go over and above to make it welcoming. Turned the pub around”
“First time ever tried over weekend, had lunch with friends. What a beautiful place, well impressed on arrival with the lovely decor and greeting from staff. All the food and drinks ordered were fantastic, generous portions and red hot. It got busier as we were there and some people couldn't be accommodated due to being so busy. Didn't have desserts but they looked very tempting. Lovely outdoor area but the heavens had opened, however must ve very busy in summer. Really lovely venue, would not hesitate to return and recommend.”
“What a lovely place to enjoy a fine Coffee. The decor is fresh and has a warm feel to it, the seating area is well laid out and the staff are lovely. I had a meeting at this venue and it felt very relaxing while I enjoyed a cup of fine Coffee. Good prices and great service. Well worth a visit!”
“Really enjoyed it, didn't eat but very clean and friendly pub.. Seating outside so good on a sunny day to just sit, relax and people watch.. Do mind the step down into the pub, I've fell out of a few but rarely fell in before.. Will call again.”
“A fantastic, proper pub with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Always a perfect pint, whether it's Guinness, lager, nitro keg bitter, or cider, and all at a very reasonable prices. The food is amazing and the Sunday carvery is without a doubt the best I've had. The prices are also really good.”
“Great food, really tasty, quick even though we didn't have a booking, sat downstairs for this reason, and it didn't takeaway from the service or speed (a Friday night) Well decorated and laid out. Had a duo start playing some music too, which suited the atmosphere and they were cracking. My only issue, and this is a wider opinion of restaurants and bars these days is 'tipping'. I'm more than happy to pay a tip once food drinks and service has been given, but the pushiness on asking for a tip when you've made the order before receiving any service that could be tipped, especially when you've sat at the table and they're not offering table service(which I completely understand and accept as we were a walk in) no reflection on this restaurant in particular as many do it now. Just a note that perhaps skip that option or open a tab or order that can be paid off.”
“What can I say. We booked a table for two at short notice on Friday night. I went here a few years ago and enjoyed it so we thought we’d give it a try. The restaurant was extremely busy at an early hour; however we were seated at a table for four which gave us more space. The service was brilliant and the team leader or manager was really on it. The food was gorgeous. We only ordered 5 tapas between two and some desserts. We could have eaten a few more but what we had was exceptional. The place is very good for large parties as the food is good for sharing. Afterwards we went downstairs for a few drinks and listened to a live band. A perfect night in every way. Thanks to the entire staff and we will definitely return”
“Amazing roast dinner at The Everest! Clean, cosy and friendly vibes, everything you need from your local pub”
“A very cosy and inviting pub. Great service and good value. A good selection of drinks, and very well cooked food at a competitive price. The chips are the best I have ever tasted. I was spoilt for choice when looking through the menu, and there is something for all dietary requirements.”
“Always pop in when I’m in the area, staff are always polite and knowledgeable on the products. Great value and always really clean and tidy, a proper local pub!”
“A return visit for me and the lads from Pac Band and another great night of rock. A fabulous, welcoming audience with lots of nice comments. Bar staff were brilliant and kept the customers satisfied all night long.”
“Fantastic local family pub. Service and food is always great. However the real stand out feature of the place is the atmosphere generated by the managers Lee and Joanne. They have a super team of staff who are always bright, cheerful and helpful. We have used the pub for a formal family function and just to pop in for a drink and have never been disappointed. My dad is currently suffering with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and is wheelchair bound. Lee and Joanne always make us feel welcome and make a real fuss of my dad. Other than his bungalow the Hay Nook is his favourite place to be.”
“Absolutely super hidden gem. It's a pub, it's a coffee shop, it's an event venue ... it's like dropping round for a cocktail or a cuppa at your bestie house.”
“Some good hand pulled beers friendly people good landlord always made welcome cannot ask for much more”
“It's a fantastic pub great atmosphere friendly bar staff and a fantastic landlord and a wonderful landlady”
“The food is home cooked, and I've never been disappointed yet. I usually go in a group and the choice suits everyone. The prices are very reasonable, it's not worth putting the oven on at home for their special discount days. The staff are exceptionally friendly even when really busy. It is so popular it is essential to book.”
“Very good pub food. Dog friendly and friendly staff. Plenty of parking near a play area. We met here with family and had a great afternoon.”
“The smash burger I had at the cutlery works was... smashing! You do have to pay extra (50p) for a sauce for your chips but there's a good range and the chips are nice and crispy. It was a bit quiet when I went but I think the atmosphere would be better on weekends or evenings.”
“Kate is absolutely brilliant. If I could give 6 stars I would. The food was great and she looked after us very well. Best service in Sheffield all thanks to Kate.”
“Very small place but can’t complain as friendly staff and the cheapest prices I’ve ever paid for drinks”
“10 of us came for food, everything came at the same time, all hot and amazing food. Came in a great amount of time and everyone was happy. Can’t fault this place at all, drinks, food and staff are great.”
