“Absolute treasure of a place. Staff friendly, food and coffee delicious, and very reasonably priced. Asked for a sandwich made from sourdough as I have a slight intolerance to gluten so I eat sourdough instead of normal bread as it is better for me. They didn't have any but sent a member of staff across the road to get some. Top customer service. And the apple and strawberry crumble my partner had was beautiful.”

“We have always enjoyed our visits to this lovely house in a peaceful setting close to local amenities and the countryside. It is tastefully decorated and well maintained with everything required for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The kitchen is very well equipped, the 5 bedrooms, out door space and lawn make it ideal for intimate family gatherings or celebrations or for a relaxing break with friends. It is easy to find, hand over is simple and both the Owner and the manager of the property couldn't be more helpful or considerate.”

“The Bakewell Tart Shop & Coffee House, situated in the main street of Bakewell, is a sweet spot for anyone who digs top-quality pastries and comfort food. I have a so‑so relationship with Bakewell tarts as there are few and far between, and often they are lacklustre in London. But here their Bakewell tarts and puddings are beautifully made and genuinely good. We loved them so much that we bought both the traditional and coconut Bakewell tart slices to take back to London. I am still not a fan of the iced tarts though. We also went for the afternoon tea, it was good, though I have had better elsewhere. But the meat pie with gravy hit the mark, hearty and satisfying. Service was top‑notch, and the coffees were expertly made. The café itself has the small town charm that complements the heritage of the place. Overall, I would recommend The Bakewell Tart Shop & Coffee House especially if you are in the area and craving a properly made Bakewell tart or a comforting pie.”

“Although the setting for this cafe is in a crematorium I often visit on a lunchtime for a sandwich. The staff are v friendly. Food range is both hot and cold. Can be busy depending if they are hosting a wake. But a great place to visit 9/10 would be a full 10 if they opened weekends”

“I went here on my way to work the morning of 7/12/24. I was getting multiple drinks for my colleagues. There were 2 staff on shift and 1 especially went above and beyond to help me with my drinks as I was worried about getting so many and dropping or spilling the them. I didn’t manage to catch their name but I hope they can identify who it was from the shift pattern and get some recognition. From securing my drinks and labelling each one to opening the door for me definitely 5 star customer service”

“have not been over 3 years, mainly due to covid pandemic. we visited 1:40pm on saturday, unsurprisingly, there wasn't long queue. (probable a pub was also opened in garden centre) and plenty of empty tables. the standard of food was maintained. the fish butty was delicious, the chocolate tart and fruit cake were tasty.”

“What a stunning place this is. The decor is tasteful, subtly lit, but not too dark. The staff were attentive and not in your face at all (very much appreciated). Our large group ordered a variety of things from the menu, but we all received our food at the same time. I ordered the red Thai curry, which was unbelievably nice. I'll definitely order it again on our return. All in all a very good experience and somewhere we'd definitely recommend and definitely visit again.. Sean.”

“Costa is not somewhere I go too often, but I do come to this one at Kilner Way sometimes. Costa is a bit pricey, but I do like the drinks here. The food is nice too, quite tasty. Good for lunch or a quick snack.”

“I visit Costa at Fox Valley on a regular basis. The staff there are absolutely brilliant, they are so polite, friendly and effecient. They make the best coffee ever which is always served with a smile and to add to that they work so hard and keep the place so clean and tidy. “Opens early. Spacious. Lovely coffee. Have on two occasions visited and the cafe had no bread or teacakes to toast, that was disappointing and definitely not good business. We always check now before ordering coffee. Do like the place.”

“Call in now and again. Usually just for a drink. Has very nice hot chocolate the hubby always has tea. It wasn't busy when we visited was clean and tidy and the young lad was brushing up the floor of bits and spraying the tables between customers. Has a drive through but we sat in. Also has toilets and an outside eating area. It has recently had a re vamp. A fetching salmon pink colour and matching seats , very nice it looks too”
