“Came here for camping in 2025 and also during covid in 2020! Good facilities good pricing big area. Cannot drive the car onto the grass for loading and unloading but is fair due to the sheep everywhere. Showers and toilets in good nick the shower drains were a bit blocked. Kitchen was a good size and well equiped. Nice places to sit down and eat dinner also Will be back :)”

“Stopped by for a quick drink on the way to Castleton. Beautiful pub.Great views. A bit isolated. Really cosy, warm vibe to the place. Nice warm fire.Service was welcoming and friendly. Good choice of drinks, a touch pricey but it was a perfect pint of Estrella. Definitely worth stopping by to visit. I imagine it gets very popular in summer. Food menu was available but we didn't stop to eat.”

“Nice Little Pub Wanted to book for the Friday but food was not on (later found out that somebody had removed the exhausts from the supply companies vans)!! Booked for the Saturday for a family of 4 and had a nice meal just before the evening entertainment started. It has a nice big beer garden for the kids. Would certainly visit again for a drink and food, Catches a lot of walkers, cyclists, bikers and tourers from the Caravan Park at the rear.”

“We had a fabulous overnight stay at the Pebley Inn. It has a lovely deck outside overlooking the countryside, luckily we had a lovely autumn night to make the most of it. We were greeted at check in by the lovely Olivia, it was such a warm friendly welcome and she continued to look after us all night. We stay in a lot of pubs on our travels and don't normally get such amazing service. Food delicious. Beers kept well. Warm atmosphere in the pub. Room well equipped. The whole night was excellent.”

“I booked the spa and overnight stay for our 20th wedding anniversary. The spa was wonderful so relaxing and the staff were amazing even preparing us a surprise dessert after our wonderful lunch. The hotel is a beautiful place, our room was perfect. A lot of work has gone into this place to achieve its grandeur. We spent a lovely evening in the bar/restaurant and the food didn’t disappoint and the service was excellent. Thank you all at ye olde bell and spa for helping make our 20 anniversary one to remember.”

“Broke our journey here coming and going. Restful, close to the A1but just off the beaten track enough to feel like a holiday. Nice rooms, plenty of space and ground floor access. Amazing local and the steaks are excellent.”

“We had a lovely stay here! The location is superb- a short walk into Bakewell town and a short drive (most likely bus too) to Chatsworth. The family room has a cool little balcony with lovely views and the staff we met were lovely. Highly recommend and will certainly be back!”

“Great place to stay. The staff were really helpful, friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy their job. We turned up a group of 5 blokes on motorbikes and were made to feel welcome. Very clean rooms and fantastic facilities. Always loads of hot water and the breakfast was great.”

“Stayed at HEX on a coach trip from Cornwall. This is a fantastic hotel the concept of the hotel is fantastic. Rooms modern very clean well equipped. A separate resutrant and bar fantastic to be seperate from rooms. Great to have wildlife park on the complex no travelling. Also a complex of shops places to eat and coffee shops. The staff are wonderful so friendly can't do enough for you it's all the extra care to detail to make your stay great I have stayed in a lot of hotels Hex is first class. Highly recommended. Thanks to all staff see you again.”

“We organised a group booking for our Curry Club at The Station Hotel, Parkgate. What an amazing night. The quality of the food was exceptional, fantastic value for money and lots of variety. There was live entertainment too which was brilliant. We’ll definitely be coming back. Special thanks to Adam for organising a cracking night”

“Lovely little Premier Inn in a beautiful location! Perfectly comfy with a decent brekkie in the morning. Big shout-out to Robert on reception too who was super helpful with letting me check-in early so I could get ready for a wedding.”

“Enjoyed the roast dinner sitting outside in the sunshine one late April Sunday. Great pint of Landlord, too. Themed nights including Caribbean. Nice pub with contemporary decor that has kept some traditional features inside, with the added outside area having been created to a great standard. Bikes zooming past along Chesterfield Road a bit annoying but the food distracted from that. Choice of beef, chicken or gammon, large freshly made yorkies, cauliflower cheese, a massive boat of gravy and accompanying veg. Good portion.. although it needed to be at £16! I would mention more about the high price of a Sunday lunch here, was it not for the fact that it was blooming delicious!! Grandma's Bread and butter pudding to finish (bloody lovely Grandma) and a couple of pints of Rutland ale. Great pub and well positioned for local walks before or after to Ashover and beyond. Great food, Good beer selection, well placed to explore the area and make a day of it.”

“Such a great hostel ran by Colin, would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay away for personal trips as well as business retreats. I'll defiantly be back for both! On this account I'd stayed with my colleagues from work, for a work retreat and from start to finish the hospitality that we received from Colin and the team was 100% and beyond! We were all very grateful and know we'll be back again next year. 15 of us stayed at the hostel, we practically had the rooms to ourselves which was great, all very modern and recently renovated. In the heart of the Peak District a short walk from many trails and a river. It's a bonus that Fountain View Bakery is part of the hostel where we had all our meals which was brilliant, lovely meals provided on all accounts, catering for all our dietary requirements. Thank you to Matthew and the team for looking after us with our food options. The pizzas were 10/10! Colin and Matthew you've been absolutely stars and we look forward to staying with you again soon! I would highly recommend! Everything was 10/10!”

We loved how much there was to do on site and the accommodation was lovely. Nice welcome gift for the humans and the dog as well! This didn’t define the holiday but the WiFi isn’t the strongest and didn’t cover everywhere (The Barn).”

“Excellent hospitality, clean place, Very good location. It was my first time to stay in a serviced apartment so i did not know much about it but Queen Stay is amazing & LUXURY. Actually much better than a hotel. I would definitely stay again when I comeback to Sheffield and highly recommend it.”
