The volunteer at Brinsley took her (I think) in for treatment. Great guy; really friendly and professional despite being there by himself with all those animals to take care of.”

“We had to make the hardest decision to have our Beautiful Dog Rosie put to sleep at the good old age of 14 but she was a special dog to us as Rosie didn’t have the best start as she was found abandoned(dumped in a wheelie bin with her brother at 6 weeks) .. my Mother in law rescued her from the RSPCA snd there Rosie was for 13 months until my mother in law passed away suddenly and we fetched her home with us we have had 13 fabulous years with our snow and Beach loving dog gentle Girl .. When we took the decision we can honestly say we can’t thank enough the loving Caring and Professional way that the Vet and Nurse showed my Husband when they came out to our home so Rosie could pass over the rainbow Bridge in familiar surroundings .. it made losing her that little bit less stressful .. Thankyou once again to the wonderful Staff at Overdale xx”

“I love this shop. The staff are all lovely. The speed of the prescription dispensing is the best I have ever known. The shop is like an Aladdin’s cave with everything you could want. I could literally spend all day browsing but they are so quick with the prescriptions I never have enough time. I have collected parcels from there and even had 2 of the staff carry my parcel to my car as it was so heavy. They really are so friendly and helpful.”

I felt no pressure to choose a particular treatment. It’s really useful that you can book online and you can get reminders for appointments. Also, there is a free car park for customers that might not be super obvious to new customers. It’s just next to the camera shop.”

“We left our cat here for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend. Staff were friendly and it was very reasonably priced. Our cat appears well looked after and the "rooms" looked clean. Staff happy for us to collect him from the enclosure ourselves so we were able to see everything”

“We used the kennels for the first time for our three dogs, it’s always hard using new places, the dogs seemed to settle in well. On picking up, it was clear that they have been very well looked after, they were happy, had lovely shiny coats and smelt great, we would definitely use them again. “A lovely stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff were absolutely fantastic and made the stay even more memorable with their professional, friendly and attentive service throughout. The restaurant was excellent, where the quality of the food was superb. The Location is great and for those who enjoy fly fishing, you have the Derwent (wading) and Wye (bank fishing) rivers. To make the experience even better, you can get a local guide to be with you, providing expert tuition and river knowledge. I had ‘Bernie M’ which was a real privilege to learn from such a well qualified fisherman. We will return as this is a special place; a thoroughly enjoyable few days. Thanks to everyone at the Peacock.”

“Wow. The food is amazing. So many lovely options. Travelled from Lincoln to enjoy this. And it did not disappoint. It's now a favourite of mine and my eldest son. Spend a bit more money than do usually however it is more than worth it. The staff have been amazing every time we have been in and very accommodating too. The atmosphere of the place is amazing and gives good vibes. Able to book in advance online to secure a seat which I advise as sometimes it's packed full with a qué if people waiting.”

Yesterday was her very last day and the vet and the nurse came and showed such compassion as they helped me say goodbye to her for the last time. She was 30 years old.
