“Lovely meal at papa’s for the 8th year running. I had the lobster ravioli which was lush, the cannoli which was superb and the lemon pancakes which were divine - you cannot come here and not have the lemon pancakes they are the nicest thing you will ever eat.”

“Was in the area for one night and came across this place on Google so thought I’d give it a go and I’m glad I did. The waitress was brilliant, she was attentive and very polite. I came in on a Monday night and she was the only waitress out front, at times I felt she was a bit overstretched but this didn’t impact my experience. There was a lot of choice on the menu which I always see as a good problem to have so you won’t go hungry. The quality of the food was great too and the portion sizes were spot on, not too little and not too much. I found this place extremely good value for money, maybe this is due to where I live but I can’t complain at the price whatsoever. If I’m ever in the area again I will come back here for sure.”

“Excellent and highly recommended! We had the set meal for 2 which is 2 platters and a desert! The food was excellent as were the cocktails followed by prosecco. There was a DJ and 2 singers playing /singing live in the outdoors bit (which is covered). Very enjoyable advise you visit and try!”

“We celebrated our 70th birthday with cooked meals for 21 family members and not a complaint from any one. Meals came out together as fast as they could be carried through from kitchen. We always enjoy our meals when we call in about once a week, but a little worried about us all getting our orders correct, We needent have worried, every thing was top notch, nice and hot. The chef even catered for one that is gluten intolerant, one with a nut allergy but a quick word with the chef and all sorted. The orders ranged from pie n peas, fish n chips, steaks, T.Bone steaks, mixed grills, chicken fajitas and my very own favourite smothered chicken. We were a very happy crowd and all satisfied at the end of the evening. The bar is always in tip top condition with beers as they should be. Thank you for making it memorable. WE WILL BE BACK.”

“We stayed for two nights mid April. The room (Chatsworth room) was lovely, a large room with everything you needed. Bed very comfortable , very clean. The bathroom was excellent, a large shower unit. With a continental breakfast available in the price, and tea ,coffee facilities available 2hrs a day. The hotel is ideally situated for a walk to the town centre, only 2 minutes away. On site parking is a bonus. The restaurant is lovely with fantastic food. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend a stay to anyone.”

“The food here is mouth watering! Everything is home made right down to the brioche buns for the burgers. I can honestly say their sunday roasts are th best in Shefield by far, the flavours are immense! The staff are also so friendly and welcoming. And when we cant be bothered to go down there, they even deliver on just eat or deliveroo! ♥”

“Went to Konjö for their lunch menu. It is where jöro used to be which is well situated for parking. It isn't at Cutlery Works anymore. The lunch menu and Kombos are really great value for money. We each had the kombo 1 with fried chicken bao, Korean fried chicken, and a side. Sides we got were the fermented s&p potatoes and the duck hoisin hashbrown. We also tried the beef short rib croquette and the prawn crackers from the a la carte menu. The fried chicken bao, the korean fried chicken, and the short rib croquette were especially fantastic. Love the ranch and chilli crisp on the bao, the bao itself is homemade and so fresh which makes it super pillowy. It's really nice to try a place like this and I think it's important to understand that this is a bit experimental. When we gave feedback to the restaurant and kitchen on what we loved and what they could consider, it was a really lovely discussion. They made it really clear that they were looking for feedback and how they can make alterations and develop dishes. Like I said, it is a little experimental so it was really great to have that open dialogue. Would 100% recommend coming and, if you do, have a look at the independent bookseller nearby!”

“I’ve been to this Turkish restaurant a few times now and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and full of flavour; the hummus with meat was so tasty and the bread was soft and warm, perfect for dipping. “We were recommended to visit this establishment by a friend, and to be honest, we weren't disappointed. We viewed the menu online beforehand and felt that the selection of dishes was much more extensive than at other Indian restaurants we had dined in before. Upon our arrival, the staff made us feel very welcome. We were seated at a window table and promptly served drinks, allowing us time to peruse the menu. Many of the dishes offered, apart from the classic curries, looked intriguing, so we decided to ask for more information. TThe waiter who served us was very knowledgeable and made excellent suggestions for us to try. The food was cooked to perfection, and we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes he recommended. Each dish offered something unique, ranging from mild to very spicy, and the presentation was outstanding with vibrant, well-displayed plates. Overall, the dining experience at Lancers was well worth the trip, especially if you're looking for something different from the typical Indian food offered at most curry houses. I would highly recommend this restaurant, as it offers a dining experience that's worth the visit.”
