“My train was delayed for an hour yesterday! I'd heard about the pub from a friend but not been in, so thoight id give it a go not expecting much. I loved the amazing selection of non alcoholic beers. I had a delicious lager. The decor is fab, classic pub vibes and the fact you're literally on the platform means when your train finally does arrive you're very unlikely to miss it. I only had a drink so cannot vouch for food.”
“What a stunning place this is. The decor is tasteful, subtly lit, but not too dark. The staff were attentive and not in your face at all (very much appreciated). Our large group ordered a variety of things from the menu, but we all received our food at the same time. I ordered the red Thai curry, which was unbelievably nice. I'll definitely order it again on our return. All in all a very good experience and somewhere we'd definitely recommend and definitely visit again.. Sean.”
“Legend, period. Very popular among students and locals, 2 minutes walk from diamond. Long queue during lunch hours, worth every penny and second of waiting”
“Its alway a surprise of what you would be served in this little gem of Sheffield. Unparalleled in the quality of sushi, it is obvious that the chefs in this restaurant works hard to ensure their dishes were prepared carefully and correctly in accordance to the ingredients. There is no doubt I shall be visiting Roku in Sheffield again soon.”
“The best place for somali men to enjoy football and bollard and ps5”
“Kefi hosted my baby shower and it was absolutely stunning. The charcuterie boards were luxurious and beautifully presented, the cakes were delicious and home made (the brownie is just to die for), the soft warm focaccia bread complimented the grazing table…. It was just all around a beautiful experience and you could tell Kefi had put in an overwhelming amount of effort. The staff ensured everyone had a warm or cold drink, and the afternoon flowed so elegantly as we were looked after so well. One thing that stood out was their catering to dietary requirements, we had celiac, vegan, and pregnant attendees. The owner beautifully segregated all of the boards to suit each diet and labelled everything up whilst still ensuring the presentation was of a high standard! I genuinely recommend hiring Kefi to host your special events as the building is so beautiful and gives such cosy vibes.”
“Such a quaint little cart. The workers are always lovely and hit the mark with their drinks - I’ve never left disappointed. They always have unique drinks on offer and are in the best location for a chill or stroll”
“Fantastic Italian which we only discovered recently having just lived to the area. Authentic food, attentive service and great atmosphere. We went for the first time a week ago, returned last night and we’ve booked to take friends there in a couple of weeks time.”
“Absolutely amazing food and great delivery from Clare she’s such a fun character”
“Ordered the sharer for two for delivery, it was fantastic. Loads of different stuff included. All the meat was SO tender, jerk chicken fell off the bone with tons of flavour, mutton curry was just a great comforting mutton curry! Cabbage was soft, dumplings were fluffy and had a nice sweet crust. Happy food. Will order again, thanks guys!”
“I was in rotherham for a mental health first aid course and stumbled upon hygge. lovely little cafe with cheap breakfast options, plenty of board games and a very welcoming atmosphere!!”
“Very friendly family run shop, even better food served in a hygienic sitting. Tried my first fish and chips here and absolutely loved it! Highly recommended.”
“Lovely food and great friendly staff.”
“Cheap, good portion sizes (R.B)”
“We haven't been for a while and it seems to have found it's niche in Nether edge. Really good coffee, great cake and very welcoming atmosphere and staff. It's quieter than others close by which was perfect for me. Update- the cafe has really found it's feet. Everything home made, sour dough based. This morning we sampled a wonderful cinnamon bun.”
“Amazing food, great beers and cocktails and fun atmosphere. The dumplings are incredible, as is the karaage mushrooms. We've been here lots and will definitely be back again.”
“Nice coffee and great cakes (some gluten free!) The lunches look tasty too - I’ll be back…”
“Ordered from here at least 5 times now, can’t beat the service and the food is always amazing quality and fresh! The delivery staff are always lovely and has been delivered really speedily! The hot and fiery cluckers loaded fries are the best!”
“Amazing little cafe, go there all the time, really nice food and good prices, always service with a smile, give them a visit, you won't be disappointed.”
“Had Chicken Manthi, Chicken Lollipop, and Neelagiri Special Chicken, all were amazing! The taste and flavor were just like eating back home in Kerala. Perfectly cooked, rich in spice, and full of authentic flavor. Friendly staff and quick service too. Easily one of the best Kerala restaurants in the UK.”
“Delicious! This place feels underrated, it’s really strong especially compared to relatively local competition and delivers some great, elegant, well presented tasty dishes. Think fine dining for some, but without unnecessary faff and with more accessible dishes on the menu. The service is friendly and classy - we’d visit more if we were closer.”
“Wow, wow, wow! Delicious food... chef makes pies that are literally LIFE! The team make you feel like you are home, the best service, care and attention. Shout out to Mitchell who made us feel like family, great reccomdations on what we should eat, yummooo, he made our evening. We will be returning for sure, Big up the hendos.”
“Oh my goodness. We popped in for a light lunch after visiting Clumber Park, and were totally blown away by the meal. We had the vegan burger and the vegan Chocolate brownie with ice cream. They were both totally amazing. The food was so good we're re-arranging our holiday plans for tomorrow to go back again! I'd give it 6 stars if I could.”
“Booked family meal for lunchtime today, absolamazing. Excellent quality food with very good portions sizes. Really good service. Definitely be back”
“Lovely little café selling hot drinks, cakes and breakfast/brunch. The staff were really nice and helpful! They also have good vegan options, which I really appreciate, especially for such a small town café :) The flapjack was good — not too sugar-y like many flapjacks are. Couldn’t resist also getting some handmade earrings from the range of art/crafts/food gifts on sale.”
“Two colleagues and myself had dinner there today. The service was top quality and the food was great. We will definitely be eating there again.”
“We celebrated our 70th birthday with cooked meals for 21 family members and not a complaint from any one. Meals came out together as fast as they could be carried through from kitchen. We always enjoy our meals when we call in about once a week, but a little worried about us all getting our orders correct, We needent have worried, every thing was top notch, nice and hot. The chef even catered for one that is gluten intolerant, one with a nut allergy but a quick word with the chef and all sorted. The orders ranged from pie n peas, fish n chips, steaks, T.Bone steaks, mixed grills, chicken fajitas and my very own favourite smothered chicken. We were a very happy crowd and all satisfied at the end of the evening. The bar is always in tip top condition with beers as they should be. Thank you for making it memorable. WE WILL BE BACK.”
“Really enjoyed our night out in Cafe Naaz. Great atmosphere, very classy and quality of food and prevention was excellent.”
“Such great coffee - not the usual super dark-roast, burnt-tasting coffee and scalding milk you get at train station cafes. Silky smooth steamed milk and gorgeous espresso with such lovely staff! I’ve not tried the food, but it looks like there’s a load of really fun options including savoury croissants! The only con for me is the up-charge for plant-based milk; I don’t mind paying 20p extra for oat milk, as I know it’s more expensive for coffee shops to buy, but 50p is quite steep, especially on a small drink like a flat white. Otherwise, really great, and it’s been so lovely to see more good coffee coming to Chesterfield the past few years, something that’s previously been incredibly lacking!”
