Cafe in Southampton

“Great food and service with a 2 for £30 deal. There was a good choice with steak, burgers and other options. We were told clearly what was in the deal and served quickly. The drinks came quickly and the food took around 20 minutes to arrive. We had starters and main courses and all was cooked perfectly. The portions were filling and I'd never tasted such tender rump steak. Not at all fatty. The surf and turf burger with the King Prawns and proper grilled beef burger was also full of flavour. I wish there was a Beefeater like this nearer to where we usually live.”

“It was a very busy Xmas lunch day, (Sunday 14th Dec) the staff were very very busy. The lady running the bar was the first point of contact and took the brunt of moans and groans from the customers. It took ages to get shown our table, but we could see how stretched the staff were. There were 3 staff on duty to look after a packed restaurant, serve food and clear plates, as well as run the bar area. I love this pub, always, including this visit, had the best customer service. But please help the staff out and put extra on shift, I would hate to see you lose these wonderful people due to being overstretched and basically not giving the customer service they want to Thanks again to those three ladies, you rocked it xxxxxx”

“It's like what a school kitchen should be - good quality healthy food at a reasonable price. Yeah you serve yourself, may need to queue and it can get quite loud with all the crowds but I'd still go again whenever I'm in Southampton!”

“Great food and decor. Attentive and polite staff. A lovely place for a meal in Romsey. Didn’t have the full menu available but what they did have was very well made and flavourful. A bit noisy due to the bar and restaurant being connected but that’s to be expected in a bar/restaurant venue on a Saturday night. Overall I would recommend The Olive Tree.”

“What a gorgeous little hidden gem of a traditional style country pub! Stopped off on the way home. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the food arrived quite quickly too! Nice sized portions and tasted delicious.”

“Just had a lovely roast today at The Old Farmhouse. Food was lovely and hot, tasted really good and the service was first class. I think the young lady who served me was called Libby. She is an absolute credit to the company, very smiley and nothing was too much trouble.”

“As an OAP I didn’t want a full fish and chips so I ordered the Special Fish and Chips at £5.45. Great choice. More than enough. Very helpful and friendly staff. Fish was good, batter good (not oily), chips good chunky.”

“This is my favourite coffee shop. The staff are always super friendly, chatty, helpful and make your order just right, even with annoying adjustment requests (hot chocolate not too hot, boba bubble drink with no boba bubbles). It’s also easy to access with disabled or regular parking. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Karen and Lily are lovely people and are often the highlight of my day out doing errands and getting a drink or snack in between . Thank you!”

“Nice little rustic feel, it’s located at the far end of Robins nest. Nice variety of cakes, and milk alternatives for teas and coffee. Seems like a all female run cafe with friendly staff.”

“Consistently good coffee and well the best in the hospital and always such friendly service - I am always there early morning and how nice to get such a nice friendly welcome at that time ! Highly recommend the cortado! Lovely fresh pastries too!”

“Situated on Southampton seafront by the Red Funnel ferry terminal. Smaller inside than a normal Sbucks, usual fare. Staff were very friendly (1 star Sasha nowhere to be seen!) and helpful.”

“We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Staff were very friendly, check in was quick and easy. Room was normal - we had 2 pop up beds for the kids. Only negative comment is the mattress was too firm for us. Breakfast was lovely in the morning. Location was 15minutes away from Paultons park.”
