“Had my daughters party at Play Shack yesterday, couldn’t recommend play shack enough. Food was lovely and there a good variety. Allergies were dealt with efficiently and professionally, meaning all children had food they could eat. Party host was fantastic, engaged with all the children and make the party girl feel special. Was also very professional when speaking with us as parents. We come to play shack quite a lot as it’s the best play centre in Southampton! We wouldn’t visit anywhere else as the staff are all so friendly and accommodating for any needs.”

“Had dinner here during camping stay. Easily the best evening we had. Very good food (great authentic pizza), great location and very friendly and accommodating staff. Small playground for kids to play on whilst the adults enjoy a sneaky glass of wine or in my case a bottle of planet lager. Highly recommend.”

“Just as you walk into the Courtyard you will find a number of different small businesses, what a wonderful little place to browse for Christmas ideas. Loved this shop called Buddy & me , for all dog owners this is a must. Danielle owns the shop and is really friendly and very knowledgeable. I purchased some dog biscuits which my friends dogs loved . Nothing is too much for Danielle and she really goes out of her way to help people . If she hasn’t got what you want she will try her best to get it for you. Excellent customer service . Will definitely be telling my doggie friend owners to visit you .”

“Nice food, good portion size, friendly staff and atmosphere. Only thing I didn’t like is another customer brought their dog in at lunchtime but that’s just me I personally don’t like animals around when I’m eating.”

“Myself & my family visit this pub regularly and it doesn’t ever disappoint. We are a family of 4 and always feel warmly welcomed and enjoy spending time here. The staff are all very welcoming and attentive and always trying their best to please the customer. It’s a wonderful, family run pub and we will continue to support them for a long time yet. “Last minute decision to eat lunch here after spending morning on a boat. Great spot for a sunny day with outdoor seating and amazing views. The place immediately sets a relaxed vibe. Fabulous welcome by the very charismatic DM Nathan. He was very friendly and accommodating (we forgot to book beforehand), there was 6 of us, incl 2 hungry, excited kids. Food was well presented, very tasty. We have chosen lobster from specials, it was fab. Kids had pasta with meatballs and pizza, both lovely. Staff were all in good mood, friendly, very busy. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and definitely recommend this fab place. Many thanks to all.”

“I recently came in for a festive meal with my work colleagues. It was a perfect experience from start to finish. Greeted on our way with a huge smile from Erin was a great welcoming. “Come here every week for breakfast, and always bring my children in the holidays as they love it too. £11 for an all you can eat breakfast is so worth it and the food is lush. The staff are lovely and so welcoming :)”

“We needed a cold drink and a sit down during our visit to Romsey. The Phoenix stood centre stage on the high street. Not very alluring from the outside but just what we needed on the inside. A lovely chatty young lady served us a pint of ale and a lime and soda for a really good price compared to other establishments in the south of England. She chatted whilst she poured the drinks too which also makes a difference to me. Relatively quiet we found a table away from the bar and settled down. A typical old fashioned pub, nothing special, wooden floors, basic tables and chairs, 80s music playing in the background, quirky wall paper, nothing special but it had something, it had the ability to talk to your companion, it felt comfortable, not quite sure what it was but it definitely had something, maybe just the ambiance, who knows. If we were in Romsey again we would definitely pass through its doors again.”

“Lovely pub very friendly staff. We booked a table and then asked if we could stay in their car park over night in our camper which they said was fine as we had booked a table. Food very good, we ordered , a couple of acholoic drinks, a grazing board and then a main each but we had far too much food. They have an amazing ice cream parlour but could manage this time, Reasonably priced would visit again.”

“The shared appetizer had super craveable items like the fried small fish and calamari. The pasta was super tasty with excellent bacon. The staff was very attentive and mindful for us! The restaurant itself was also quite cozy and had a bit of a rustic feel to it.”

“this was our first visit to Harpers steak house in Southampton and we were not disappointed! From the ease of booking online to receiving the bill at the end everything was exceptional! The staff member, Driton was extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel at ease as soon as we arrived. The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best steaks we have had in a restaurant in a long time! Not only that but each course came out quickly, was a good portion size and hot! We would definitely recommend Harpers and will certainly be returning.”
