“I've been bringing my dog Fred to Mel for almost 3 years now and I have to say, she has been a godsend. Finding a permanent groomer for Fred has been extremely difficult - he is super anxious when it comes to grooming, especially anything involving clippers anywhere near his paws. Mel has been incredibly patient and gentle with him, and built up his trust in her to the point where he runs into the room and even jumps up onto the table! Never in a million years did I think I'd ever see that. Mel loves what she does, genuinely loves animals and she is a star. Highly recommend!”

“Never a easy trip with our German Shepherd Obi, as he is not great with other dogs and he’s very apprehensive of the whole vet visit… However at Hillside they are always very helpful and understanding to our needs when bringing Obi”

“Our dogs have been going there a few years now and always look really well when we collect them. They only smell of the kennels because the kennels get cleaned regularly. They always seem happy in pics. Our dobe has issues and is always fine. They both just walk in with the staff. We nearly lost out big lad last year but it was the staff here that noticed he had bloat and rushed him to the emergency vets where they saved him. Can never thank them enough highly recommend”

“When Vinnie arrived with us late last year, knowing what a commitment it would be (8 stone puppies can be a handful and hard work), we resigned ourselves to not going away for at least two years as we felt it would be to much to expect anybody to take on the responsibility of Vinnie given his size and energy whilst still an adolescent ( plus our Border Collie Belle and 3 cats - one nearly 20 years old and requiring medication everyday). Step forward Adele & Asher who started doing us daily visits earlier this year. Due to the quality of their work, the close relationships they have developed with our “gang’ and also their professionalism and trustworthiness we changed our view. We have just returned from a week away after using the BePAWsitive pet sitting service last week and as always the service was perfect. Regular updates and photos (our pets always looked relaxed and contented) meant that we spent our week relaxed and confident that we had left our pets with the best possible care we could. Thanks again Adele & Asher for not only the perfect service but also going above and beyond on numerous occasions. The dogs are missing you already and can’t wait to see you tomorrow. “AMAZING!! I booked The old Parlour and Cow Shed to come with some of my closest friends to celebrate my 40th Birthday. The barns are beautiful and they have thought of all the tiny details. The bath house toiletries in particular smell incredible! They provided milk, tea and coffee to get us started as well as bath robes. We chose to add a booking on with Georgie and Co who came to the barns to provide us all with treatments.It was the best massage I’ve had in quite some time! I would highly recommend booking if you want to add some relaxation to your stay. I can’t wait to visit again! x”

“What a find this cafe/grooming salon is. I needed my dogs nails clipping, and when I googled if there was anywhere local I could have this done apart from the vets, it stated Charlie and co did a walk in service. We arrived no issue, the young lady in the salon was brilliant with our dog who is a rescue, so we were unsure if he would be nervous, he rushed into the grooming area no problem, we went and had a coffee and before we knew it he was done! Fabulous service we will be back. The girls are a great team. Oh and lots of doggy friends for your pouch to meet downstairs in the cafe.”

“Visited for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The menu is diverse and the food is excellent. Service was mixed - one of the waitresses was good but the other wasn’t great (ignored us at the bar etc). But overall a good experience and we’d definitely return!”

However there was loads to choose from and portions were very big. Presentation was lovely and the service by the waitress GABBIE was five star!! Very polite and attentive. We will definitely be visiting again.”
