“I stopped by for a takeaway coffee on my way to the beach. There was a good distancing one way system, the staff were lovely and helpful and the coffee was decent. I also got 2 home bakes, which were delicious. For 2 slices and a coffee, it came to around £6, which I thought was reasonable. Update: we returned here and the coffee was, again, lovely and great value!”
“Little gem of a guest house. Owner was very welcoming on our arrival. Requested a low floor room which we got. Good size room. Comfy bed. Plenty storage for clothes. Bathroom was spotless. Good touch supplying toiletries for showering . Top notch cooked breakfast and also cereals ,yogurts and fresh fruit. Plenty parking in Pittodrie place just round the corner from b&b. Walking distance to golf course. Definitely will be back when we come to Aberdeen”
“This Guest House is the best in Aberdeen town!! If you want luxury rooms, private bathrooms and quite place, this is the best choice, Ladie from reception will look after you, price wise affordable, breakfast included, what do you need else.. I'm more than happy to come back here, checked in late evening, it's like 24/7 reception. 10 stars from Russian customer”
“Called in for a coffee, partner had her usual americano, which met her aproval, I went daft and had a double shot flat white, which I have to say although obviously very strong, was much better than a lot of places that seem to forget what a flat white should be. I also had what has to be the best bacon bagel I've had in a long time, even the partner was surprised how quick I ate it. Loved it. Update. Went here again 5 days later and again the bacon bagel was so good. This time had a single shot flat white and again this place knows how to do a flat white, to many places now give you whats more or less a latte in a small cup. Definately recomend.”
“Lovely staff who always provide great service, excellent location & this branch is my chosen chilled Sunday lunchtime spot. Worth a visit!!”
“Quick note before I develop full-blown PTSD from a simple coffee run. On Wednesday 19 November at your Aberdeen Beach branch I witnessed a scene that belonged less in a Costa and more in a 19th-century lunatic asylum during visiting hours. A woman in the store suddenly morphed into a human megaphone and began bellowing at your poor cashier accusing her of using "dirty tongs" on the toasties. Now, I am not Sherlock Holmes but I do have functioning eyeballs and I was standing approximately 4 feet away. There were multiple sets of tongs on display and the perfectly clean pair the girl was holding had literally never touched a thing. The allegedly "dirty" ones were already quarantined off to the side, probably living their best retired life. None of this mattered to Madame Meltdown. She was screaming as though the tongs had personally insulted her mother, stolen her parking space, and voted for the wrong political party. The poor girl behind the counter kept the same serene smile you see on hostages in documentaries, while the rest of us pretended to study the menu with Oscar-worthy intensity. Your staff are absolute heroes for dealing with escaped asylum residents on a daily basis, and that particular cashier deserves a raise, a stiff drink, and possibly a bodyguard. The coffee is still excellent. The unsolicited dinner-theatre, less so.”
“A soup and sandwich, plus a baked potato and two very hot coffees. The coffee house is a lovely wee cafe in a corner of the main street of Montrose. It looks dark from the outside, but it's the opposite when you're inside. Very historical with the old walls. The staff were very nice and cheerful and the food was very fresh. The sweet potato and coconut soup was different and delicious.”
“Absolutely fantastic customer service from the staff member who served me. She was serving alone with no help. What an absolute star of a employee you have there. DO NOT LET HER LEAVE! What a advocate of what your coffee needs. Apologetic of the wait i had but made sure I left with a smile on my face. What better customer service can you ask for?”
“Stopped by Cloggys for lunch before heading to Aberdeen airport, it is an absolute gem of a spot! The menu is expansive- there is something for everyone, the staff are all unbelievably friendly, and the owners Jash and Alex certainly make you feel at home! I had a rather large lunch (the burger and the mac n cheese are excellent on their own), but being greedy I decided to combine the two! 10/10 would recommend. Lucky to those who work in the area and can be a regular at Cloggys, to all others just 'passing through' I definitely recommend coming by to fill your boots!”
“Perfect place to grab a bite to eat and a drink (hot or cold) while walking or cycling along the old railway line. Dogs are welcome and "doggie sausages" are available.”
“We love coming to this Starbucks. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Shout out to Roberta, Saint and Jaime on our last visit - always so nice. The place feels local despite being a chain.”
“Clean and good interior, very relaxing. Friendly staff”
“This was our first time coming to this restaurant in a number of years and we were very impressed. We came on a weekday lunchtime and the food was amazing, lovely atmosphere with the Christmas decorations and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back more regularly.”
“Lovely little morning spot. Stopped in for a soy caramel latte and what had to of been the best raisin scone ever. Soft, crispy, fresh and warm, safe to say I’ll be coming back for another.”
“A very good value, no thrills hotel. Clean, with basics covered. Cafe was closed when we arrived (2pm) but we received a text and email with instructions on how to gain entry (quite an easy process). Downside, if you're a light sleeper the noise of revellers outside may keep you awake, stayed 2 nights and it was about 1am before it quietened down on a weekday.”
“This was a welcome stop and great value. I had just cycled DOWIS, Dover to the Western Isles and I was on my way home. It made a great change after a month in my tent. The hood breakfast was appreciated.”
“A very kind staff member cass made my coffee knew how I liked it”
“A delightful little cafe in the heart of the city. I’ve been twice now and I have no doubt I’ll be back again. A friend and I were enjoying the sun at Union Terrace Gardens when we both fancied a coffee. We went to Common Sense, but just they had closed. Very kindly, they still served us coffees to takeaway, which we very much appreciated and enjoyed. I went back on my lunch break a couple of weeks later and got a double espresso, curried vegetable soup and cheese scone to takeaway. The food was delicious and after having worked as a barista for a few years, I consider myself to be a little bit of a coffee snob. I was far from disappointed with the espresso. Perfectly balanced and brewed. £10.25 in total and of course more expensive than a now almost £4 meal deal in the supermarkets, but a wonderful treat. Although small, there is still a good amount of seating considering and I’ve found the service to be second to none. An absolute gem to have here in Aberdeen.”
“Good menu and experienced staff, which appears well trained. The coffee tasted nice and fresh, probably steamed from the preparation. Some add-in, like shops selling clothes and home ornament, makes the shop attractive, providing a wonderfully ambitious ambiance. However, management must check the toilet and ensure regular and follow-up cleaning. To the staff, thank you for your services.”
“Very nice place to come and grab breakfast or lunch. Special thank you to barista David, who never forgets if to ask cappuccino without chocolate. Very friendly and intelligent person! Appreciate him always being in a good mood!”
“I have found the staff very proficient and kind. I, over the last three weeks, have witnessed them handle many extremely busy times very smoothly. Being that I have Celiac Disease, I can not comment on the food other than there are a few small packaged items.”
“Went there for a cup of tea and they have so many différents things, I am pretty convinced everyone can find what they like. The staff is super nice and the prices reasonable - and the scones are terrific, definitely a must-try. I spent a great time there!”
“Always a warm welcome and courtious staff n coffee fab.”
“Best service from these legends! They wrote on my cup I Like your outfit a lattie! It really made my day thanks a lot I’ll be back 100%”
“My home away from home. Great coffee and lovely staff. Prices are good and seem lower than those at most starbucks. University wifi available at reasonable speed, plenty of seating and power sockets for charging phones and laptops. Can be very busy around the turn of the hour, particularly at 1200.”
“Huge thank you to the barista that offered me a cookie as I was sad ❤️”
