“Our waitress Debbie was absolutely perfect. She was friendly, professional, and genuinely caring throughout our visit. She asked about allergies, checked that our meals were okay, and made sure we had everything we needed. When my 85-year-old mother felt cold by the window, Debbie kindly moved us to a warmer spot. She finished by saying it was lovely to see us and wished us well as we left. The food was fine and the drinks were served quickly, but it was Debbie’s warmth and attention to detail that really stood out.”

“Went for a spare of the moment lunch with with my two children today, they had a great choice of food and the childrens menu was also devent quality food too. Another huge plus was that didnt break the bank either. My son has a PEG which he feeds through if he doesnt eat orally, I realised I had forgotten my portable blender, asked the pub on the off chance if they could blend up his meal and they did without any hesitation. They even offered to package up the left overs. Lovely little garden, lots of seating also available inside too where it was nice and cool. They also have a little toy/kids corner which kept the kids entertained before eating. Will definitely be eating there again! Thank you so much for being accommodating to my sons needs.”

“Visited on Sunday 14th December 2025 at around 5.30pm and ended up waiting about 40 minutes for the drinks to be served and then a further 1hour for our food to come, the steak was not very hot and very chewy. The place was not very busy and the staff were struggling to cope the 2 waitresses Maxie and Mia were the only saving grace and tried their best to appease the situation. The resturant needs more staff both in the kitchen and in the resturant”

“Apart from delicious fish and chips and roasts and great service, it’s a very friendly and diverse place, everybody feels welcome and safe here - very child and dog friendly. Out of 3 pubs in Marina - Master Mariner is always our choice. Fantastic place to stop for meal or drink any time of the day or watch sport on a large TV screen. Always a real fire on a cold day Without exaggeration - this place is a part of Brighton’s history”

“A lovely pub right by the sea. Old and inside it goes on and on with a pool room, darts room, and a downstairs that leads to the sea/river. Standing outside you can be by the river. Inside, you cannot see the river due to the wall outside, yet still a lovely space inside because it has so much light. Our server, Leo, was excellent and gave you the impression that nothing was too much. A masterclass in serving customers. I gave the venue 5-star for the service. Unfortunately, I had to rate the food much less. We ordered the mussels, two lots, and the mussels were very small, overcooked, and the 'classic sauce was watery and did not have a great flavour. I wanted it to be a great dish, as we really love mussels, but alas it was not. Shame.”

“Not just for one meal but going there since refurbishment totally consistent the greeting from Hannah (Land Rover girl) and the rest of the staff, the food that doesn’t cost a fortune and is way above the average pub standard and good value. “Brazilian BBQ served on swords endlessly along with a side bar of other foods from meatballs, lasagne, onion rings and chips. Great drink selection, had a sweet strawberry lemonade that hit the spot just right. Overall atmosphere was very chill, staff super friendly however the red/green card they give you was kinda small so if you go make sure it's visible”

“The staff are well bonded and seem to enjoy working with each other, which makes the experience enjoyable, also seem to have all the time in the world to talk to you to make you feel that there nowhere else to be. Really enjoyed the meal and time I was there.”

“Booked in for 1 night and paid £350 for a room without breakfast included (wow) (without a balcony) which was such a shame as we’d walked 12 miles to this hotel so we could have a room looking over the beach. The room we actually got was a large well designed room in the roof of the second floor. I went down to ask if we could swap rooms and it was a stern no. They are all booked. Fair enough, slightly moody receptionist. But our evening got exceedingly better as Nathan served us in the restaurant on the veranda and he was such a lovely man. So attentive and actually cared. We had a really lovely 3 course meal with cocktails because he was so good at his job. I actually wanted to eat elsewhere because I didn’t think the lady on reception gave a hoot about our stay. Thankfully we didn’t, the chicken skewers were so good and the fish was moist and fluffy. Really good chef. Cheese board was a delight and the chocolate dessert. Scott enjoyed an old fashion and mojito all really great quality. Nathan made our day by being funny polite and just really good at what he does. Thank you”

“Just been to Weatherspoons at the Marina Brighton. I have to say I was very shocked at how absolutely lovely the whole place was, it's situated over 2 floors with plenty of seating and bars on both floors. It is situated right next to the Marina so you have lovely views of the marina from both floors. Also what impressed me was how very clean and tidy it was, with lovely decor with lots of wood features. large solid wooden staircase. We ordered our food and drink using the Weatherspoons app, which made it so easy. (You can also order at the bar) Our drinks arrived after 5mins and our food took another 5mins. we thought it would have took longer as they were very busy, The food arrived hot and tasted lovely. Great service from the staff. We had 3 main courses. 3 side dishes. 4 beers. 3 desserts it came to just under £20 each which is very good considering when we were last in Brighton we ate in a pub and just had one solitary burger which cost us £13.50 and a beer was £7 and we left hungry. So we'll done Weatherspoons. O and not forgetting the free 4 hour parking which is a massive bonus. Many Thanks guys”

“I am quite happy with their burgers, as every time I get a perfect hot and crispy Chicken Royale. The cheese just melts in the mouth and takes the whole food experience to another level. Even their bun is quite soft to it. So, even my kids can enjoy it without any issue biting or eating it. Overall, a good experience.”

“This was a great beefeater. After doing the cycle for BHF yesterday we came here to celebrate the day along with fathers day. The waiting services were great and the overall food was good. While one of the steaks was a little gritty, the quality at which it was cooked was perfect. Additionally, the vegetarian and vegan options were cooked to a great quality. The alcohol was nice, not overly pricey for a restaurant and the fathers day special came well done and well presented. A slight misunderstanding on the bill was quickly explained and we were quickly reassured that everything was fine. Overall, a great beefeater to enjoy a nice dinner at. Highly recommend. “Had a really delicious lunch here today. The curry, chunky chips, Caramel Apple Betty desert was of great proportion, delivered with a smile by the friendly waitress called Jess. My daughter had the open chicken chibatta with chunky chips followed by ice cream with chocolate flake & wafer. Washed down with the refillable diet coke & Fanta Orange. All in all, it was a lovely meal and didn't break the bank.”

“Good food, and friendly staff. The perfect stop on the way to the Amex football ground. Good choice of food, well cooked with vega and vegetarian choices. Good prices and amount of food is well worth the wait. All food cooked to order, fresh, hot and full of flavour. A regular pit stop for us walking to the stadium which is about 20 minutes away. Popular place for a reason! Recommennded”

“The owner of the restaurant is very friendly and nice, I ordered a basket of bread and fish soup, the soup is really tasty and has variety seafood inside. There are many restaurants in Brighton serve fish soup but most of them are pretty pricey but this one’s price is reasonable. The bread is fine, felt it is super fresh bread but it’s good enough. It is an small restaurant that run in Brighton for more then 50 years. Will definitely come back to try more different dishes next time.”

“We had dinner during the long interval. We'd ordered a bottle of wine beforehand which was waiting for us along with a jug of iced water. Although the menu was two course (mains & dessert), there were nibbles also on the table and bread. Quantities of both courses excellent as well as quality. We had beautiful roast beef, perfectly cooked with huge Yorkshire pudding, jus and a gratin on the side. Not cheap, but what is, thoroughly enjoyed”
