Michael made our visit special and engadged with my 3 year old neice making her visit fun. Overall the escape bar I would rate higher then 5 stars if I could”

“Service was fast and food delicious. Got 3 small tapas plates which was perfect for my appetite. I particularly loved the veggie quesadillas. Also got a free soft drink with it (tapas Tuesday). The veggie options are great and diverse. The ambience in the evening is great although the music a bit loud. Great for a meal with a friend!”

“We celebrated our son and future daughter in-laws engagement here. The staff were brilliant and treated them to a glass of bubbles and cute congratulations motif on their desserts. It was great to have an exclusive little room to ourselves and we felt unhurried and relaxed. Thank you”

“Had a wonderful day today at Ashford Shopping Centre, I like to go there at least once a year to check the bargains as it is a great place to do Christmas shopping. The Fred Perry shop is excellent value. On the way home, we visited Horace’s chip shop as we were hungry after a long day of shopping at Ashford Shopping Centre with the excellent Fred Perry shop, and we was greeted by such friendly faces, true family unity. We made a large order consisting of lots of different items, ranging from sausages,to chips, to onion rings. I am writing this review after just consuming this, and I can honestly say I have only just returned back from the fifth dimension. Absolutely Michelin starred level of goods produced, all for a price that would even be affordable to the homeless community after a heavy day of busking down Seaford Beach. The food was almost ready before I even tapped my contactless card, it was almost like I shared a telepathic connection with the owner who knew what I was going to order and already had it ready because he knew I was coming, on my way back from the Ashford shopping Centre. I have since set fire to my Christmas tree in the garden. Thank you.”

“I think this must be fairly new as I have no recollection of this pub / restaurant. Thomas Paine has strong local connections, unlike Casta and Madge. He helped inspire the American revolutionary war and almost lost his head in the French one. Silly so and so. I had another Harvey's Sussex best bitter. One of three real ales on my visit. Very good. Up steep stairs finds a roof terrace. Must be lovely on a warm sunny day / evening. Free wifi.”

“We enjoyed a first class Christmas menu and service, eighteen of us on a Tuesday lunchtime. The food was varied, we loved the choices of antipasti and the mains were good and plentiful. It is always nice to be offered a dessert that is something different and the Zuccotto was just that, and a large portion. We will be back along with those in our group who couldn't make it yesterday. The service was attentive but not too hurried and the restaurant was tastefully decorated. Thank you Al Duomo for a wonderful experience!”

“Had a Sunday roast here at the weekend at is was up there with the best. The pork was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing! Roast potatoes were crisp, salty goodness. The veg (cauliflower cheese, roasted carrots, greens, sweet potato purée) were all just as you’d want them. Great big fluffy Yorkshire - good stuff. And the gravy was thin but it packed a flavour punch and was served in a good quantity! If I could change one thing it would have been to swap out the purée for extra apple sauce, but that’s personal preference! My partner and friend were equally impressed with the vegetarian roast, however they were both slightly unsure of the veggie gravy which was orange, potentially carrot or sweet potato based. It was tasty - just unexpected. The sticky toffee pudding was really moist and flavourful! Personally I like it with a little less toffee sauce, or for it to be in a jug, but it didn’t stop us eating it all. Will definitely be back.”

“We popped in on an off chance after walking at devils dike. We were instantly welcomed by two lovely ladies who were very friendly and helpful. A wonderful selection of locals beers and dog friendly. Would definitely come back to try the food!”

“Fabulous evening, friendly staff and food was excellent. Had the mushrooms with poached egg to start (pictured)and the special board choice of tbone steak and it was all delicious. Reasonable prices and will definitely be going back soon.”

“The last time I was here was in 2023… for some reason Google doesn’t allow a new review just updates. Anyway I think the restaurant has changed hands recently but the quality of the food was just as good. Had the calamari, fish & chips, fish pie. All tasty and very good value. Could have done with an extra staff member as the poor waiter was running around but all in all just as good as last time (2023) Lovely restaurant with nice staff. Sitting outside in the sun was great even if on a busy road. Calamari was some of the nicest I’ve had in a long time. Dressed crab was fresh & salad accompaniment was lovely. Fish tacos were a big portion & all chips were homemade. 2starts 2 mains and a bottle of wine for just under £70. Excellent”

“One of the best place in Worthing and surrounding! Delicious food, very good portions and not as pricey as you would think, buying main two sides comes with it! My experience over the years just getting better and better! Owner always around very professional and friendly staff! Location just couple minutes walking distance from the Worthing sea side! Been going there from the day they open and will continue as they have best chicken wings and T-bone stake!”

“This place is the absolute best! The food is really yummy definitely my favourite place to eat in or takeaway. i love the concept of choosing what i want in my pasta bowl. I recommend ordering the Italian Mini Pizza's as a side. Decent prices and the staff and the owner are so nice and knows how to deliver good customer service.”

“We decided to enjoy a roast at The Egremont and were lucky to arrive early enough to get the last table before they filled up with 100 pre booked roast dinners I ordered the lamb shank, while my friend chose beef, both served with crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, red cabbage, mashed swede, broccoli, carrots, and parsnips—much more than we expected! We also shared a giant portion of cauliflower cheese and some massive pigs in blankets, which we affectionately dubbed The Egremont sausage surprise. The food was delicious and plentiful, and I even shared some of the pigs in blankets with the neighboring table, & bought some food home - If you plan to go, I recommend making a reservation! “We were in Eastbourne on a half term break and we came here for dinner. Wow, it was better than the big well known BBQ/American restaurants in London! Very good portions, food was freshly prepared and a great menu for adults and kids. Also, we were surprised how reasonable the bill was at the end for family of 4 and we ordered beers. “Went for the Christmas party night, beautiful decorations, very festive!! Good choice of food, decent portion size, good service, reasonably priced drinks, fab entertainment. My only slight complaint was the entertainment was very, very loud, Will take ear plugs next time! Staff were lovely, friendly & attentive. We would go again. “Had the most incredible lunch experience at due south a couple weeks ago. The staff was extremely welcoming, friendly and catered to our every need, the food was exceptional and the wine pairings really added to the experience, will definitely be returning for those gorgeous oysters. All in all would highly recommend!!”
