“We went here for lunch after having seen some good reviews. It has a nice and light pub atmosphere, the service was very friendly and the food was excellent. Everything was great but the scallop special and the spicy king prawns were particularly good. Would definitely recommend.”

“We had a wonderful dinner yesterday at The Salt Room. The restaurant was full of atmosphere, yet we were comfortably seated at a large table. The service was excellent – the waiters were friendly, attentive, and clearly very professional. On their advice, we ordered the monkfish to share, served with mussels and moqueca sauce. It was simply gorgeous – beautifully cooked and full of flavour. To finish, we had the lemon tart and truffles, both of which were outstanding. A truly memorable dining experience. “Came for dinner on Sat night. I've been coming here for years, and have always loved it. Dinner on Sat was perfect, Catherine our waiter was on point, attentive and charming. “Been out walking and just called in on the off chance as hadn’t booked. Was really busy but they fitted us in without a fuss - thanks. Had the Sunday roast (beef of course) and was not disappointed - it was fabulous! Bella took our order and a young lass with blonde hair served us (Jenni? I think, sorry didn’t get her name). We could see it was busy and the staff were busy but they kept an eye out for everyone. Really pleased we called in & will call in again next time we are in the area. Thank you.”

We started with hummus and toasted bread, followed by roasted chicken for my husband and crab linguine for me. To top it off, we shared a bottle of wine—and everything was simply fantastic! The experience was so wonderful that we couldn’t resist taking a slice of cake to go. The total? Just £60—an amazing value for such a memorable meal. It was a special occasion for us, and we truly couldn’t have chosen a better place. Highly recommended!”

“We had a delicious brunch time snack at the cafe du jardin. The entrance way is unassuming but don't let that fool you, this rustic restaurant serves delicious bites and thirst quenching drinks in a relaxed and informal French cafe style both outdoor and indoor tables and believe me this place gets busy. Our server, Albie was an absolute gem, he worked hard to ensure no one was waiting, very attentive and capable. As you can see from my photos the food is excellent. However I wished I had ordered one of the tasting plates as they look fantastic.”

“A lovely quaint pub next to the river. A pleasant atmosphere, really friendly and welcoming team of staff, and the Sunday Roast - I had the minted lamb - was delicious. A generous portion, with plenty of veg and just the right amount of gravy. I say at a small table outside, and the sun shone down on us. I enjoyed my visit here and trust you shall too. 5 stars for the food and the service. A high 4 for the atmosphere. Overall, easily 5 stars.”

“A Hidden Gem in Brighton – A Must Visit! We stumbled across Busby and Wilds by chance while looking for somewhere dog-friendly with good food — and it absolutely did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Emily, which instantly made us feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious and clearly made fresh with care. Every bite was spot on. It’s rare to find a place that nails the balance of great atmosphere, amazing food, and genuine hospitality. This is now my go-to spot whenever I’m in Brighton. Highly recommend!”

“Genuinely maybe the best 3 course meal I've ever had, booked the function room for a surprise 30th and was genuinely unbelievable. We had Riccardo (might be slightly wrong) but couldn't have asked for any more. It is slightly on the more expensive side but one million % worth it if you want the full experience. “Amazing new restaurant in Hove. We had the beef tartare and carpaccio to start (best I’ve ever eaten). The seafood starters we had were both out of this world too and the desserts were excellent. I’d deffo come again- highly recommended.”

“I walked in a (sort of) sleet storm from Worthing with the incentive of a coffee at the perch lancing and it didn’t disappoint! Lovely welcome, delicious coffee (& the best cheeky bacon bap - I’d walked 2.5 miles so I decided I deserved it!) great views. Just a shame a couple arrived and had a phone conversation on speaker next to me, but that’s not the perch’s fault! My first visit. The best incentive to do a 5 miler a couple times a week!”

“Perfect place for a warm Summer evening meal outside. Great menu and very good quality food. Chicken came with one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had in a long while including fresh anchovies. The trout was also perfectly cooked. Large garden with various options for eating outside;open, partly or totally under cover. Best to book a table or arrive early especially on weekends, although be aware you can’t order food until 6pm.”

“Love this place. It isn't cheap but the food and service are great and it has a buzz to the place and nice ambience. Staff are friendly, helpful and guide you on what to eat or how to have it cooked. They also check if anyone has allergies which is great. Dessert was huge and decent choices. Only downside, toilets... they let the place down.”
