“Absolute gem of a pub in lovely quiet setting with big carpark and ample secure garden area. The food is always divine whether sampling the lunchtime menu or main menu. The staff are wonderful, very kind and patient with the dog as well as friendly and attentive. Lovely pub.”

“There was definitely an olde feel to this pub as we walked in, ducking heads as advised to avoid the low entrance and stepping into a comfortable and pleasant environment. It was full for a lunchtime, always a good sign. We were pointed to a board full of daily special dishes and another board showing the selection of pies before being taken to our table. The menu had a good range of options, including a number of vegetarian and fish dishes, and some pub favourites (I understand the liver and bacon is very popular!). Service was friendly and not too slow, although we didn’t feel rushed either. The food we ordered was excellent and there was plenty of it, so much so we couldn’t manage dessert, which was a shame as they looked lovely too. We will definitely be returning.”

“A fantastic find very close to Bath centre but far away enough... I love this place, it had the local feel with a welcome that was unassuming. The beer we had was Stone Daisy, very tasty and well worth the £4.95 let’s face it it’s in the city so not bad! Food was very good and the price was very reasonable, surprisingly (and I compare pubs) fish and chips £16 in comparison to 18 - 20 so see the comparison. I had the Tagliatelle (chicken) fantastic and exactly what you would expect, the wifee, pie and raved about the mash , turns out it’s all home made so very happy £34 ish for food which we looked at the desert but will have to return. The important bits are Staff really friendly and on the ball. Dog friendly, perfect! Pub was spotless and looked great. On the whole I would recommend a fantastic find. Revisit last night, we all enjoyed the food and drinks, desert was the best thank you!”

“Fantastic traditional pub serving quality food and top drinks. One of best Sunday lunches ever had, gutted stopped severing Sunday lunches though as were delicious. Generous portions, great value and super tasty. Crispy fish batter and pie pastry was next level good. Was too full for desert sadly. Hound dog ale was amazing and lagers are always great. Huge garden too. Top service and friendly landlord, thanks!”

We have been here for lunch a number of times with different people and the staff have always been very friendly.”

“Excellent burgers - they look like the picture of a burger you want but never get!! We ate the cheese gourmet burger and double spicy chicken burger, as well as a special prego steak burger. It's a piece of thin cut sirloin steak and grilled in such an incredibly tasty end result, served with cheese and ham - I am avoiding carbs so didn't have the bun, and was not disappointed - great choice for a low carb takeaway if you're after a treat. The chips are like chip shop chips but crispier, I'm told really good, it was all I could do not to try them myself! I would recommend phoning ahead, they were super busy Saturday night. The website has a few kinks to be worked out and they know about this, and I let them know about them and they responded quickly and are working hard to get them fixed. Great staff responses and really good service. Honestly one of the best burgers I've had for ages, well done guys, we'll be back.”

“Found this little Inn by chance. Well presented and clean. We only had drinks and a quick snack however it was well presented and good value. We noticed that they had a special offer on a buy one get one free on all main courses which we felt was excellent value. Large beer garden which had small area of play equipment in. Friendly staff. Campsite at the back of the pub - we didn’t visit so are unable to comment on the camping area. The noise from the adjacent M5 and railway track was quite noticeable and I can imagine may upset some people.”

“I live in Australia and travel around the world often for work I have to say the chicken was the best I’ve ever had so tender and juicy with amazing herbs, great service and a lovely restaurant, will hopefully be back to visit again before I leave. 5 stars all round and highly recommend. Definitely up there for best food I’ve ever had.”

“Cribbs causeway tortilla is one of the best tortillas I have been to. The staff are friendly, chatty and always look after customers. Everytime I come to cribbs I will always come to tortilla for the good food and the environment. Definitely a top tier place. Would strongly recommend!”

“Beautiful little pub with lovely rooms. Kate the land lady was incredible friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They were able to accommodate us with early check in as we were going to a wedding near by. Would definitely recommend staying here!”

“Very nice pub. Friendly and welcoming staff. The food was great, too. Roast chicken salad, Gammon+egg+chips followed by apple pie, which was delicious. We got there as it opened at noon, so it was quiet. I'd imagine the atmosphere would be good later as it was getting busier when we left.”

“Stopped off for Sunday lunch, although not booked they found a table for the 2 of us, great choice of food, we had the lamb, well presented, and tasted great, very good portion, with veg coming out in a separate dish. Service was good, will go again.”
