“This is always a regular spot for me and I love the rump steaks. Throughout the last two years I’ve had two tough steaks and the staff have been incredible in replacing it from one that wasn’t quite cooked to my liking to one that couldn’t have been more than perfect with no issue at all. Probably the best Hungry Horse I’ve been to and the food is very well priced. Always happy on every trip A⭐️”

“We brought our Great Grandson for the Breakfast with Santa experience. It was well organised, not too busy and the staff were fantastic. “Went for lunch and was not expecting much to be honest. We were actually pleasantly surprised. Customer service was very good, nice, patient friendly staff, just what my dad needed as he does get a bit confused now. The food was a lot better than my expectations as I looked at the menu it was very affordable, so I thought it couldn't be that good, but it was actually really good and enjoyable. Disabled access is fine. No issues whatsoever. There are steps up if you want a window seat, but apart from that, it's great. It was spotlessly clean throughout and very relaxing. I suggest you book a table in advance as it filled up very fast and it's obvious why. Thanks to the staff today, you are a credit to the Pub.”

“I found the sraff friendly welcoming. We both had stake which were quite tender considering it wasn't that expensive, I think they had a food deal on that night (Nov 2025). They were bigger than expected too.”

“We visited this evening to celebrate my friends birthday. Our server Clare was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure our meal was perfect. I'd asked for the chocolate and Strawberry pot dessert but they were out of Strawberries so she asked I'd like a banana instead, it was delicious! She was so friendly and her banter made our evening. Shes definitely an asset to your company. We'll definitely be visiting again.”

“Came today 17.07.25 (for breakfast) and witnessed amazing customer service. Zack was having his break and having breakfast, when it got quiet busy in the pub, so he left his food, and helped serve customers there food, and then went back to finish off his breakfast. Most people wouldn't interrupt their break for other customers....but he did. Well done Zack....that was fantastic service for your customers. Also the lady manager how then came into shop floor was extremely hard working too and didn't stop with serving and clearing tables.”

“Had an amazing meal this weekend at the White Lion’s relaunch. As a vegetarian I was impressed with the range of meals available and with how quickly the food was turned around in spite of the pub being full and bustling! Great atmosphere. The new refurb has done a great job of refreshing the White Lion and we are looking forward to many more visits in the coming months. The two staff who served us were absolutely lovely and nothing was too much trouble.”

“Great local pub, friendly staff and customers. Nice garden in the summer and open fires in the winter. Multiple TVs for sport, often playing different matches on each screen so rugby and football fans welcome at the same time when matches clash. Also a large area for quieter drinking or eating without screens.”

“Went there on a wet Thursday as a last minute decision. Car park looked busy but there were a few tables left. We sat in a booth and ordered via the QR code. Drinks arrived quickly and both the salmon sizzler my wife ordered and the halloumi sizzler I ordered arrived within 20 minutes piping hot. Both of us said the food was so tasty and portion size was really good. My wife couldn’t finish her sweet potato fries. We ordered a horseshoe of onion rings which were cooked to perfection. We hadn’t been here in a few years and won’t be leaving it as long before we go back. The only down side is there aren’t really that many vegetarian dishes to choose from. One or two more would be appreciated”

“Had a 3RTR Cambrai celebration meal. First time here, food was excellent, so was the service can not fault it. The bathrooms were fresh and clean. Carparking was plentiful, except a very sharp turn into it and quite steep.”

“Great food at great prices. The staff are very nice and hardworking, the tables are spaced out and the place is well looked after. The brownie from the kinds menu is a decent size and only £1.99! Just right if you don’t have a lot of room after the main course but still fancy something sweet.”

“My wife and I had a very good time at the Lamb and Lion this weekend and the staff were so caring and very accomadating to our needs whilst in a booth. we were watching football and darts during the course of Saturday and they were happy to change channels at our request. “Unexpectedly really tasty. I ordered the half chicken meal with peri peri chips, it also comes with a drink. But wow was the chicken good! Chicken was moist and flavorful, and the chips were crispy and well seasoned! Would recommend to anyone!”

“Very welcoming hosts. The selection of meats that were brought out included beef - chicken - pork. Slow cooked over a traditional Brazilian bbq. 10/10. This is definitely the best Brazil restaurant in Bristol..✅”

“A good SU, food is reasonablely priced and so are the drinks. Can't recommend BRUWE, it's a bit on the harsh side but the rest of the beers are good. Remember to bring some cash (there are cash machines there though) on a sunny day to pay for a deposit on your plastic cup so you can drink outside!”

“Kaylea and Beth were very attentive and gave my partner and myself a very warm welcome when entering the pub. Their knowledge of what drinks suited which meal was very impressive. Large glass of red wine for a steak, and a pint of san Miguel to go with a burger. With myself also working in the trade that’s some great upselling to a premium product! Would definitely come back and bring more people 10/10”
