“On arrival I was greeted by tricia who was so warm and kind she helped me with my bags and gave me directions to local restaurants the service here is great, rooms could do with a refurb”

“We booked an early check-in however our room wasn't ready due to people before checking out late, we were given complimentary hot drink and also breakfast due to late check in. Kim is an absolute treasure she couldn't do enough and was very apologetic as we were staying there for a bereavement. Would definitely stay there again as good service is rare. Thankyou again Kim”

“One of the best PIs we have stayed in! Check in was easy, well when you have the very helpful Mel there to help. Mel was so welcoming and helpful, making sure we were checked in and booked in for dinner and breakfast. Our meal in the evening was beautiful, we shared some pick n mix plates and all were so tasty. We were served by Mel again and she continued her great customer service. Room was lovely with a nice hot shower. At breakfast we were treated by Sam, again a friendly welcome and explanation of the service. A good choice of food items and drinks. My son really wanted a hot chocolate but I presume because of the sugar tax they do not offer as refills however, Sam noticed he was disappointed and when of to make him a special mug. He was very happy. I named two staff in this review however the others we saw all seemed to be delivering the same service. We will be back!”

“Good hotel located in the center of Cardiff - but close enough to the harbor and coastline. The quality is what you expect from a Park Inn. The rooms are well fitted and clean. Service was very good and breakfast was good. One star goes away because my room had a window to the lobby - strange!”

“Hotel currently closed but you can book airport parking here which is typically cheaper than parking in the airport itself. Five minutes or so walk to the airport. You can book through Justpark.”

“Clean, lots of facilities within walking distance. A very lovely gentleman, named David, made my stay extra special by changing my room, to a ground floor room.”

“Came for food this evening the food was lovely the waitress was even more nicer she couldn’t help more if she wanted to she went the extra mile with everything she interacted with my children will definitely be coming back , the lovely girls name was Paige”

“Stayed here two nights it was clean and the bed was comfy. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a night club directly opposite so lots of noise but this didn't bother me at all I liked knowing there were people around”

“I stayed two nights in this hotel. Rooms are bigger than I imagined and spacious for two persons. The heating system was excellent and I had a comfortable sleep throughout my stay. I would stay again here.”

“Thank you to all the staff. A special shout-out to the manager, Alan, for kindly keeping hold of my son’s cuddly toy for the best part of six months. As we live far away, we did not expect the hotel to keep it for so long, and we are extremely grateful. Our stay was very comfortable, but it was the staff who added that extra layer of welcome and hospitality. Thank you also to Cion (I hope I’ve spelt that correctly). My wife phoned the hotel ahead of my arrival to arrange collection. Although she couldn’t get through initially, Cion returned the call — something that rarely happens these days. She truly went above and beyond to help, and we are very thankful.”

“Perfectly fine, budget hotel and only a short walk away from Cardiff city centre. Rooms are very basic but the beds were still very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.”

“I had a wonderful experience staying at the Beacon Hotel Cardiff. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. The atmosphere of the hotel was warm and comfortable, making my stay really enjoyable. A special mention goes to Drulval at reception – he was incredibly polite, professional, and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. His friendliness made me feel right at home. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would definitely recommend the Beacon Hotel Cardiff to anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free experience. Very clean, lovely hosts, walking distance to the beach, pier and shops- just a superb place to stay. I was only sorry that i couldn’t stay longer. Give this place a go, it will not disappoint.”

“A very convenient spot to stay for a solo traveller, close to town and in a friendly part of the city. Great service by the host, couldn't have been any friendlier and warm, and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Also, the value for money is impeccable, I'd certainly recommend this place, and I look forward to returning!”

“This was a superb hotel for a two night stay during carnival weekend, where me and my friend were given a family room since this was the only one available! Price was solid for such a busy period and the size gives much space for storage especially across different tables, sofa is handy for this as well as relaxing on of course. The beds were tidy and very comfortable for sleeping after nights out, location is only about five minutes from the main clubbing district so getting back was easy and personal safety is high in its area! Shower had a proper size and bathroom had everything working reliably, kettle was provided with free hot chocolates too as I was very appreciative of. The city frame on the wall and plants are welcoming, manager was highly friendly as he explained how the keys system worked for us to be able to get back at anytime!”

“My partner and I are just back after a 2 night stay, fantastic hotel! Andrew was really friendly and we were made to feel really welcome. Perfect location, very short walk to seafront but enough that it was peaceful. Fantastic view from our room too! Clean and modern room with homely/historic feel throughout rest of hotel. Would definitely recommend and will stay again.”

“Booked here for a birthday meal as my dad likes tapas, wasn't expecting much as small bowls of food are not my thing but... Wow! Great menu, good portions that are very well priced and everything was really tasty. Pleasant and attentive service too, already planning to return.”

“I had the loveliest experience at this vineyard – it’s an absolute hidden gem! The setting is stunning, with peaceful vineyard views that made the whole visit feel like a little escape. The food was just as beautiful as the surroundings – fresh, vibrant, and clearly made with care. Every dish was thoughtfully presented and paired so well with their wines. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve.”

“We had a wonderful and comfortable stay here. Positives are location, comfort and the service and staff. We were able to drop our luggage to the hotel before check-in and leave it there after check-out whilst we enjoyed the vast shops of Cardiff town. The breakfast was delicious too. The only negative- we were unable to book the restaurant for dinner. The only available time was 9pm and this was when trying to book before 5pm. We were offered to sit and eat from the bar menu, however we found the music too loud to hold a conversation and the table size not suitable to sit comfortably with a meal. We therefore ordered room service. This was delivered quicker than anticipated but was tepid, the sprouts were extremely soft/soggy, the parsnips and potatoes dried out and the Turkey was dry too. That said, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Overall, I loved it.”

“My husband and I stayed overnight on a Tuesday evening. The experience was lovely, the hotel is charming and has a great atmosphere of a beautiful home. The greeting upon arrival by Charles (we think) was friendly and helpful as was our departure the next day by a lovely efficient young lady. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - there were a few light bulbs not working in our room but nothing that detracted. The bed was super cosy and comfy. We had a delicious evening meal, and a lovely breakfast before we departed. Long may owner run hotels survive. Super impressed, keep up the good work. Thanks for a great stay. Mr & Mrs Chase.”

“Second time visiting here and great staff,very polite and helpful. Lovely view too, Dogs are allowed which is nice to see. And the food was lovely. I would recommend but I know they are closing but not sure if new buyers are keeping it as a restaurant, I hope they do.”

“We spent a weekend here and were thoroughly impressed. The hotel's design is chic and modern, yet the room was incredibly comfortable and quiet. The bed was like a cloud, and the rainfall shower was fantastic. The location is unbeatable, within walking distance of all the main attractions. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally helpful, providing great recommendations for local restaurants. A wonderful base for exploring the city.”
