“Bigger and better than last year. On a scorching June Saturday if your not participating consider bringing camping chair or a picnic blanket to sit down on, possibly an umbrella as no shade. The Aqua Park sell drinks, ice lollies, crisps and snacks at fairly reasonable prices. Water is cold but wet suit isn't necessary if you don't mind colder water.”

“I was sent to Musgrove A&E yesterday with a dog bite. Every one that saw me, from the receptionist, through to the triage nurse, the X-ray department, the nurse practitioners who assed me, the student, the doctor and finally the excellent nurse practitioner who cleaned and dressed my wounds and administered the vaccines were kind, as gentle as possible and very efficient. Total stay time? 3 1/2 hours. Amazing. Special shout out to Vicky Rae and Abdul. Super stars.”

“Good quiet budget hotel next to the water in Cardiff. Decent rooms with hairdryer, iron (and board!), kettle, decent shower. Breakfast is basic but for the price is fine. No marmite though, which I wasn't happy about. Decent sized carpark for £10 a night. Also a false fire alarm at 715 but that's not their fault - probably some idiot pushing a fire door or vaping in their room.”

“My first ever visit to a TGI Friday and I was rather impressed. The staff were friendly and management came out to assist with a specific dietary concern with my guest. The food was hot and beautiful, we even met Darth Vader in the reception entrance to the restaurant. The dips are fantastic, the burger very juicy and super tasty. A definite 10/10 and look forward to returning. By the time we left the restaurant it was buzzing with nearly all tables full. A very popular restaurant in Cardiff. Many Thanks TGI Fridays even on a Monday night.”

We came back to Toby Carvery Cardiff Gate, and once again, we were absolutely delighted by the exceptional service—from Bron, her manager Ben, and her lovely colleague Caitlin. Bron continues to shine every time we visit. She’s so kind, attentive, and effortlessly warm with everyone she serves. Her ability to make every guest feel welcome and looked after is truly something special. It’s clear she puts her heart into what she does, and it makes a huge difference to the overall experience. We also want to highlight Ben, the manager, who sets a fantastic tone for the team. He’s approachable, supportive, and clearly leads by example. The atmosphere here is so positive and well-organized, and that kind of environment starts at the top. Caitlin was equally brilliant—friendly, upbeat, and always ready with a smile. She worked seamlessly alongside Bron and Ben, helping to create a genuinely warm and welcoming vibe even on a busy day. The food was as delicious and satisfying as ever—hearty portions, well-cooked roasts, and all the trimmings. But it’s truly the people at this location that make it stand out. The care, teamwork, and professionalism we saw today were absolutely top-notch. Thank you again to Bron, Ben, and Caitlin for another memorable visit. “Very conveniently located Argos. We usually order online for in-store collection and find most items are available on the same day. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. We have had to return a few items over the years and have always found this to be a fairly straightforward and painless experience. The shop shares a car park with the wider retail park which can get busy at times. The car park is usually much quieter in the evenings and I have always been able to park fairly close to the entrance. Staff are usually happy to help you take larger items to your car if necessary. There are a couple of disabled spaces near the shop entrance. As these are quite limited, you might want to try to visit at a quieter time of day if you will need a disabled space.”

“Best dentist around, very friendly and welcoming staff, my mum was very nervous from not seeing a dentist since Covid, but the staff soon settled her nerve and got her in and out in no time, I also had a tooth that had chipped to the root and they sorted it the same dayI now have no pain at all, would recommend to everybody, thank you very much”
