“This practice is wonderful. Every member of staff has been kind, friendly and efficient. Yesterday, my daughter and I took her very ill chameleon there and we spoke in depth to Sophie and after her examination of Audrey my daughter decided that euthanasia was best for her chameleon. We waited in a private room and said goodbye to her. Adina, veterinary practitioner, was brilliant, so empathetic and sensitive, arranging Audrey so prettily at the end. We highly recommend this practice without reservation.”

It started with a warm welcome on reception from Sue and Tracy and then there was a special cat waiting area to help them feel safe. “My cat was registered with Beaconsfield Veterinary Clinic for most of his life. When he hurt his eye & developed an eye ulcer, their care & advice was first rate. The staff are compassionate & caring towards pets & owners. When my precious little cat got old, he attended several senior Cat Clinics & they were quick to identify health problems & offer advice. Sadly, when the time came & my precious boy was dying, the Veterinary Doctor advised me on when was the best time to let him go. Not only were they kind, humane & professional towards my boy, but they made sure I was comforted too. I have no regrets about any of the treatment they offered. They were always looking out for my pet's welfare & worked to ensure that he had a long & happy life. Some treatments, although potentially expensive, were always done with a full explanation of what was needed & why. I have no reservations about recommending this practice and I would like to thank them for their care of my beautiful cat.”

“Just been to this vets for the first time as we are on holiday in Watchet and my sproker, Barney, had become unwell. They were amazing!! 5 star service. When I called at lunchtime, they were full but within minutes the lovely lady on reception called me back after they had a cancellation. I saw Paul, the vet, he was amazing with my reactive dog, very knowledgeable and calm and kind and efficiently treated him. I can't thank them enough.”

“Finally found the perfect leads and longlines thanks to Houndagrips. Having tried numerous longlines that have "burnt" my hands, thighs and ankles (if you know you know!), and have been heavy when wet and frayed when bitten, I decided to try HG. HG are lightweight, super strong, weatherproof, easy to clean (come up a treat on a quick cold machine wash) and so far unbreakable/chewable. I have two border collies, the youngest Blue, aka Houdini, likes to scare as recall is a problem so I need to be confident that any lead will be strong enough and the clips secure. Having bought the normal longlines previously I asked Ryan if he could make me a custom order with locking, swivel carabinar clips to give me that extra reassurance. Ryan replied to my query whilst on holiday and I now have longlines in different lengths plus several leads (I have to double lead Houdini!) and feel much more relaxed. Not sure Blue is as happy as me as touch wood he hasn't escaped since I have been using the new leads. Thanks Ryan.”

“I’ve been in weekly for the last 8 weeks with my 3 cats with various issues. I’ve stopped going to Valley since their treatment of staff who went on strike & I’m happy with the care I’ve received from Andrea & her team. Whilst the location & nature of the business (owned by big 6) doesn’t lend itself to the same care/service as an independent, I’ve been very satisfied with the treatment received. The staff have been really patient with my and my anxious communications (I appreciate the WhatsApp service) about my terminally ill little cat. They’ve spent time helping me determine the right course of action for my girl & I’ve never felt pushed into anything, nor made to feel silly for the questions I’ve asked or choice I’ve made. Both dental treatments my cats had recently came in comfortably under the quote. And the practice is always happy to provide written prescriptions so I can find flea treatment at a price that suits my budget. I do hate the location though - both on the industrial site and the mezzanine above the store. It’s loud, doesn’t feel very secure and isn’t great when you’re going through something difficult. I’m dreading when the time comes for me to say goodbye to my girl and how exposed it’ll feel upstairs and walking through the store with my tears & grief. But what can be done? There’s not a great deal of choices in practices really. And no independent ones locally. So I’m happy with a Vet-led franchise with an owner who seems to care about her practice & the animals she sees.”
