“So I phoned up this morning first thing to get an emergancy appointment as my tooth is broke and I have swelling and a lot of pain in my jaw and explained to the receptionist what had happened and I wasnt registered with a dentist and about my extreme anxiety about dentists. She was so lovely got me registered over the phone even though you normally have to email it. Then I got there and was extremely nervous. The lady who was with my dentist ask if I was okay as I was already getting myself worked up and I nodded. Once I got into the room I broke into tears and explained what had gone on with my tooth and why I was so upset. My dentist was so kind and understanding she took things very slowly and explained everything she was doing before hand. Honestly she was so lovely to meet and put my mind at ease today ♡ thank you so much guys”

Booking a non-urgent appointment was straightforward, with the receptionist efficiently scheduling me for a reasonable date. As an autistic person with ADHD, I typically struggle with change and felt anxious about transitioning to a new practice. However, the nurse immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease during my visit. The practice’s communication has been outstanding. Email responses arrive remarkably quickly, and clinicians proactively call to provide updates and expedite referrals. During a recent appointment with my daughter, I witnessed the clinician speaking with genuine care and compassion to another patient leaving their consultation. This demonstrated the consistent level of empathy throughout the practice. When we were called in, the clinician was wonderful with my daughter, skillfully easing her concerns about being at the doctor’s surgery - something she had previously found intimidating. The professional approach helped transform what could have been a stressful experience into a positive one. While we haven’t been patients for very long, every interaction has exceeded our expectations. The quality of care, communication, and genuine compassion shown by all staff members gives us confidence that this standard will continue. I would highly recommend Longford Primary Care Centre to anyone seeking a patient-centred practice that truly cares about their community.”
