βIβve had a few piercings done at studio 13 over the past couple of years and Sarah in particular has always been super friendly and welcoming! She was great at explaining the process as well as helping to easing the nerves of getting a piercing. Despite the fact that during my most recent visit, piercing appointments were fully booked for the day I never once felt rushed and felt completely comfortable and reassured the entire process. The studio itself is clean, sterile and well presented and the jewellery they sell has never given me any issues. I simply couldnβt recommend enough!β
βA cherished independent cinema that retains its original 1930s Art Deco character. With its single screen, classic auditorium, and unique "Moby Dick" whale feature, it offers an authentic, nostalgic film-going experience distinct from modern multiplexes, emphasizing atmosphere and community.β
βGreat cocktail bar, amazing atmosphere! I have been an Edinburgh resident for my whole life and this is one of the best experiences Iβve had! Make sure you visit here. Service is phenomenal, I had Pier as a server, electrifying! A must see for Edinburghβ
βI havenβt had a home-cook Pho for a long time and itβs so heart warming to taste something that delicious - totally recommend and would come back again and again!β
βWhat a beautiful cinema! Lovingly restored, comfortable seats, great atmosphere and helpful staff...what's not to like? I'll definitely make a return visit.β
βAbsolutely lovely pub with a beer garden, very friendly and clean and nice atmosphere, reasonable prices too.β
βWords canβt describe how wonderful this artsy boutique style hotel is! Just returned home after spending five fabulous nights at this beautiful gem of a hotel. Nothing has been overlooked, from the decor, design, furnishings, artwork - and on top if it all, a lovely whisky tasting bar/lounge that was truly elegant. The staff was extremely attentive and made sure that everything was perfect for us from the moment we arrived until our departure (inclusive of booking taxis and making hotel reservations). Will definitely be booking another stay at 24 Royal Terrace if given the opportunity to visit Edinburgh again.β
βAnother great Haircut today at this excellent barbers, great place and have been coming here for 9 years, friendly service and great prices. Open on a Sunday too, also great for a shave which very relaxing. check the website for times etc.β
βMy partner and I had a half day experience with the amazing Danu, she showed us some incredible birds, she was really knowledgeable and funny and made us feel welcome and she was very well informed about the birds. She was also happy to answer any questions which we had. The day was unforgettable, thank you to the staff and to the all the gorgeous birds for having us there :)β
βGreat fun and experience with a challenging museum heist. Would highly recommendβ
βIn the area so popped in then lost an hour of my life in hi fi bliss. No sales talk only a relaxed but informative chat on design and manufacturing. The demonstration listening rooms impressed and the Home Cinema room is exceptionally good. Highly recommended a huge range of equipment available with expert advice on hand.β
βThe staff are amazing, especially Tony. We were looked after and the advice given was excellent. I highly rate this small company and we will be back again.β
βA truly wonderful night. Luca was so helpful with the booking and it was for a special event and incredibly patient throughout. The service and food were excellent. We really enjoyed it and would highly recommend.β
βWe were visiting Edinburgh for a few days and I bought tickets to see Wild Rose as an early motherβs day and birthday present for my mother. Staff were friendly, beautiful theatre. The gait and the legroom were great. The show was excellent, but my mum did struggle at times to follow due to her hearing. The performers were brilliant especially the children. Would recommend for a good night out.β
βGorgeous architecture and magnificent performance. Friendly and helpful staffβ
βAlways a fab venue so really glad money is being invested into it for an upgrade. I hope they keep the ceiling art! I'd never been to the upper circle before - vertigo! Festival staff were very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back next year after the refurb.β
βI hope this wonderful space never falls in to the hands of property developers. Fantastic cafe at MF Coffee and a popup arts and crafts shop open at the moment too. Love it and Wilma the dug approves too.β
βOne of my favorite hotels I've stayed at! The room was so cozy and clean and I loved the privacy doors on the room and sliding wooden door for the window. The free mini bar was a nice touch as well as the champagne upon arrival, slippers and robes :) Only "downside" was that I wanted to stay in the room & relax instead of exploring. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even after checkout they stored our bags for the day while we were in the city. Highly recommend.β
βRoyal Mile is the most popular street and it can be too crowded because itβs cultural history. The architecture of the buildings from medieval era to current is significant to Edinburgh historical background. Thereβs tons of restaurants, stores and most of tourist attractions is along the Royal Mile including St Giles and the Royal Castle.β
βNice open space- lots of students hanging out enjoying the sun, playing guitars or sports. Some wrought iron benches along the paths. Loads of daffodils in early April and cherry blossoms come out around mid-April.β
βI absolutely love this restaurant, this is was my second visit and it was just as good as the first. The staff were very accommodating when I asked to move to another table (there was nothing wrong with the table, I just wanted to move to a booth) and of course the food was absolutely delicious. A highlight was the octopus and the pork chop. I had a dirty martini which was super strong (be warned haha!) and our waiter was friendly and answered our questions about the food. I can't sing their praises enough, I would come here every week if i could!β
βThis is a must see in Edinburgh - simply the best thing Iβve visited in years. Β£21 entry is hugely impressive value for a moment in history . We spent over 2 hours on the self guided tour which was excellent. Visiting the on board cafe too was really great. The employees there are a credit to the whole atmosphere and were so friendly. Lots of interest for everyone including kids with hoot stops on board with bits of uniform etcβ
βBeautiful park, great for kids and adults, bring some nuts as the resident squirrels eat them right out of your hand, The parking is free, disabled parking is next to the bandstand, drive through the first parking lot and follow the road through, You could also park in the main street and get access to the front entry of the park, just be mindful of any parking fees or time limits, it is easier to park in the parks, parking lot, There is an old church with an old cemetery, look up to the big square tower of the church and see king Bruce, carved at the top, im not entirely sure but there is a connection to robert the Bruce, from the cemetery the views are absolutely stunning u can see the 3 bridges over the firth of forth Next to this church is the ruins of dunfermline abbey its stunning i prefer ruins, it is free to visit both the church and abbey but for the Abbey they said u had to go online and book your ticket and show the arcade to the staff member You don't need to go into the Abbey grounds to appreciate it, u can look down on it from the cemetery, dogs are allowed into the Abbey but not the church, it is worth going into the church its beautiful beyond words inside A wander around to the glasshouse its full of exotic plants from around the world there is also formal gardens right next to the glasshouse, a bit further up the path heading towards the peacock cafe is a sunken Japanese garden it sadly is a bit over grown and the pagoda thing is falling to bits, its still worth going down there though, Near the cafe, which seemed popular on the day I visited, you will find the peacocks wandering around freely, so its best to keep your dog on a lead in this area, from the cafe its only a short walk back to your car, Overall this park is a must visit especially if you are a history enthusiast, all around the park is hidden remnants of historical buildings My only problem with this park is the chronic lack of signs telling you where to find certain areas, so its just a matter of wandering around until you stumble along something historical There are some pretty steep hills and steep paths made of rocks, but most of the main paths are in good condition but not really suitable for someone in a wheelchair There is an old train engine that kids can climb on, as well as a few large kids play parks There is loads of benches or grassy bits to stop and have a picnic, just keep an eye out for rogue squirrels they really aren't afraid of humans The park is big, around 75 acres if I remember but u can do a short or long walk depending on your fitness Stepping into this park feels like u have stepped back in time, u can feel and imagine how it was like back then, take your time and enjoy the atmosphere of this park xxβ
βHave had lots of lovely orders from these beautiful ladies. Always top quality, great prices and always well packed and fast delivery. An all round amazing shopping experience. The customer service is as excellent as the products. Highly recommendβ
βAfter having stayed in Whitworth Locke before in Manchester and having such a good experience, we decided to book this hotel in Edinburgh for my birthday trip! And weβre so glad we did! The rooms are beautiful as they always are in Locke hotels, the cafe downstairs was great. And staff were lovely and friendly! The lady that checked us in was particularly incredible! After having a sleepless night we arrived to the hotel a lot earlier than check in time and we were dreading having to stay out all day running on empty. We asked if there was any chance early check in was available and she allowed us to check in a lot earlier as our room was ready! We were really grateful for this and really appreciate hotels that offer little extras for guests! Thank you :)β
βLovely cafΓ© with really friendly staff. Pro tip: during COVID, it's only one person inside at once. Pro tip 2: hot food is available if you're just wanting a bacon sarnie, or similar...β
βFinding the right wedding venue can be so daunting but Dundas and their staff are very experienced and efficient. The venue itself also does not need anything extra as it is stunning! We got lucky with the weather in the end but even if it continued to rain, it was still an amazing day. You can see the value for money in the way they manage big events. It was a day to remember and would highly recommend any bride and groom to book the castle for their wedding. The location is also amazingly close to Edinburgh and the airport. Thank you to all the staff on the day!β
βAbsolutely incredible steak! Cooked to perfection, full of flavor, and paired with delicious sides. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy yet upscale. A perfect dining experience from start to finish. Canβt wait to come back!β
βLovely afternoon tea with lovely relaxed surroundings. Staff were attentive & friendly. Sandwiches, savouries and scones were excellent but we personally found the cakes a bit too rich.β
βBeautiful apartment and an incredible location! We also couldn't believe how well equipped the apartment was, especially the kitchenware. All the staff both leading up to the stay and in the office where we kept the luggage were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again if we can.β
