βLovely place even when market is on, great food and lovely clean areaβ
βWe booked to see AlbaFlamenco on their last performance at the Fringe and it was superb. The dance, the music, the ambience - I felt part of a family, it was so inclusive. We asked if we could eat at the restaurant after the performance and we were fitted in. Wow, the tapas was absolutely the best. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and really tasty. The wine was at the perfect temperature. The lady who seemed to be running things was kind and jolly, and the staff were lovely. Thanks for a great evening.β
βVisited during at the end of the fringe. Friendly staff , you could feel the fizz of anticipation of festival finishing. Nice venue and stage. Relaxed bar with student vibe where ordering a pint or a chamomile tea is equally acceptableβ
βOutstanding and professional friendly service from the outset. Having made a call to Lawford Kidd and with only a couple of days to spare to get my work place claim in and processed, Derek Carrigan took on my claim knowing time wasn't on our side but this didn't phase him and he dealt with it in a very swift and professional manner. Always kept me updated through every stage of the claim procedure. The claim was settled from start to finish in three months, a lot quicker than I ever imagined. I must thank Derek for the way he put me at ease regarding my claim. I would highly recommend Derek and Lawford Kidd to anyone that requires such services.β
βUnlike Charlotte Sq at the other end of George St this is very definitely open to the public and as a result feels like a vital piece of greenery in the city centre , its always busy with visitors , shoppers and office workers enjoying the open spaces and /or a coffee from the small costa shackβ
βMy daughter had her 5th birthday there and it was absolutely amazing. Helpful and nice stuff, good contact with the owners. Reasonable price. Would recommendβ
βSuper wee venue for comedy, small cinema experiences and live musicβ
βLovely young staff who cope well with some extremely busy spells. Well done.β
βTook my family for dinner. Food was great quality and quantity. Staff friendly and helpful. Took to the bar after which had the football on. Mixed age groups, all welcomed and a cosy fire.β
βWe visited as a family of 6, ranging in age from 2-70. The park was suitable for everybody to visit. We went for refreshments (overpriced) in a nice cafe onsite. We went on the train round the park, which was good fun and informative. We fed the animals, who are quite tame and interested in people (lovely). We used the trampoline, soft play, go-carts, log swing, sand pit, family bikes, musical forest, big chair and gift shop. The weather was nice and the overall day was very enjoyableβ
βHad a lovely stay here, was a little concerned about plane noise, but didn't have any disturbance at all. The spa was very nice, and breakfast was good as well, and friendly staff throughout. The Christmas decorations really added to the vibe as well!β
βAmazing day out for all the family. Best zoo we have been too. Loads to see, food vans located around the park which is great and it's actually decently priced too and great quality. There are loads of great animals to see and definitely could spend an entire day there. We all had the best day. Would definitely come back again.β
βIf you have kids or tou are adults and wanted to explore a good amount of animals this is the ideal location. Good parking and it's better to prebook jist in case. You have animals from insects, snow leopards to farm animals. It's a good interaction time for your toddles as well.β
βA very beautiful and quaint restaurant with amazing customer service served with a smile. Very dog friendly too and Poppy Dog got treats and plenty of friendly pats. Everything was lovely, the food, the decor and even the toilets. The food was amazing and well presented, so thanks to the Chef and a wee walk around the beautiful village to finish it off. A beautiful place to go to.β
βOur kids had the best day! The staff were great with them and very patient. Brilliant day out - will definitely be back!β
βThe place is very well-curated, featuring interesting exhibitions and nicely-stocked shop. I also recommend escaping the hubbub of the streets to watch artists hard at work from the gallery. Don't be fooled by on-street parking spaces - these are prohibitively expensive, it's better to use public transport or leave car elsewhere and walk.β
βFantastic park. When you're traipsing around the city all day looking at monuments and have a tired little person, they just want to play! This park is the perfect relaxing spot. Tables, green space, ample equipment, toilets. Ticks all the boxes.β
βHad an excellent dinner in restaurant prior to show. Theatre is compact with good seats everywhere but not the most comfortable. Show was very entertaining with great acting.β
β2nd visit here for the Wes Anderson double feature and absolutely making it a regular occurrence to see movies here despite me living outside of the city. The ambiance is unmatched, the food options are amazing and allergy inclusive & thereβs also a bar where you can order drinks to take into the film with you! Staff are lovely and always helpful.β
βThe staff here are super helpful and kind! I wasnβt sure if my discount code could be used more than once in a day, and my friend was running late. The staff kindly gave me my drink first and let me order again when my friend arrived so we could enjoy together. Really appreciate the great service and understanding. Also, the drink was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!β
βWonderful Andy gold worthy exhibition. Great themes of life death impermanence and so on.β
βBest night out ever in Edinburgh. Amazing musicians! Has its own unique vibeβ
βSpoke with David this morning as my Samsung TV was not working. Did a quick phone diagnosis and determined screen was done. He advised that probably as cost effective to get new one. In conversation he asked where I got it and when I said John Lewis he said that there should be a 5 year guarantee, which proved correct. Have now scheduled them to repair/replace. Very appreciative of this help. Thanksβ
βEnded up here for a meal one evening, our waiter Max was very dedicated, friendly & provided a professional service throughout our meal which was nice to see. Overall the service was prompt, the food took a bit longer than expected however, it was definitely worth the wait upon service. Parking facilities are available on site for free which is ideal and hygiene is followed at a high level which was evident around the restaurant - would recommend!β
βWe stumbled on this place just out exploring. Unique menu, ambiance and excellent serviceβ
βWatched AC/DC here August 21st, what a great music venue this is, whilst it's great for rugby it's nice to see the stadium being used for music as well. No issues getting in and out, all the staff we spoke to were pleasant and helpful.β
βThe best comedy venue in Scotland. Great vibes, better jokes and atmosphere. A must see if you want to experience classic Scottish standup. During the fringe it gets some of the best acts.β
βWent on a Thursday with no booking and, although there was an hour wait outside, the queue moved quicker than expected. Once inside, the atmosphere was Christmassy, warm, and festive. Service was excellent, and our waitress Cecile was fantastic - attentive, friendly, and checked in on us throughout. A lovely experience overall.β
