βIf you're looking for the Ritz, go stay at the Ritz and pay for the Ritz. I stay at hotels all the time for work and this Holiday Inn is one of the nicest Holiday Inns I have stayed at. Our room was comfortable and updated. The bathroom is small but expected for being in Europe. It was clean and completely acceptable. The lobby area is updated and welcoming. The fitness room is great with all the equipment needed for a decent workout. The breakfast is wonderful and worth the extra we paid for it. I read reviews that the restaurant food is great and that is accurate. Whoever is running that restaurant and making the food is doing a great job. The food is excellent! The pool and hot tub are ok but better than not having anything. The bus stop is right outside and takes you into town in about 20 minutes.....so convenient. A family day pass is 12Β£ (2 adults, 3 children). If you want a nice place to stay with good food but you don't want to pay the prices of being downtown, this is the place for you.β
βI joined the Joint Pain programme 6 months ago and found it very beneficial. All staff were extremely helpful. The class leader was very patient and pleasant, the physiotherapist was excellent and I appreciated the fact that he accompanied me to the gym, giving reassurance that I was doing things that would not be harmful. I found the cafe very convenient and reasonably priced. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere with Freddie and all those on duty made the whole exercise experience a pleasure and one to be continued.β
βThank you for all this great service. We went only one night and it was enough to see how kind and welcoming are the employees. Great room and great breakfast ! It was a nice way to begin our journey in Edimburghβ
βGreat budget hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely clean room, likewise the bed and shower room. Great bottomless breakfast. Glad we stayed. Would definitely stay again. Staff help give the whole weekend a great vibe. The city is bustling, with exceptional shopping, fantastic pubs and restaurants. Staying here right in the centre of it all, is a must.β
βMaria has been great, she explored options online and in stock, she ordered a product for us to try with no obligation to buy.β
βBeen a member for many years and canβt fault Nuffield Fountain Park. Excellent facilities and really friendly staff. Decent size pool, well equipped gym and regular classes. The health club is run very efficiently by management who are always responsive to any concerns / issues. Very relaxed atmosphere and always look forward to my visit. Big shout out to Manya and Leandro for your excellent customer service, friendliness and warm welcomes every time I visit. The freshly squeezed orange juice from the cafe is amazing. Keep up the good work all and well done.β
βWent into the Newcraighall store today, on the off chance and because I was passing. I ordered online on Sunday night. Iβd had no email confirmation, had no order number, but I could see the transaction on my credit card statement. Anyway, itβs a birthday present for my son and was worried. Iβm taking the time to write this because the assistant, Rhonda, was outstanding. It wasnβt even that store but she went above and beyond. I left feeling two things, really relieved that the issue was sorted (and it was- parcel picked up at Meadowbank earlier) and sure that Iβd be using Argos (especially the Fort) again. What a nice, competent, helpful woman. ββ
βIβm a uni student studying in London, on a two-day solo trip to Edinburgh. I originally booked a 4-bed dorm in a hostel for two nights (Β£15 a night), but had to cancel the second nightβthere was someone coughing loudly, another person praying at 5 AM, and the lockers didnβt lock. I ended up booking this hotel last minute the next morning (Β£45 a night). I was so pleasantly surprised and comfy after checking in! Iβd been dreading it because of the bad Google reviews, especially since I got the cheapest basement room with no windows. But it was quiet, spotlessly clean, and the front desk staff were really helpful. First big plus: 24-hour reception. I looked at other places around the same price, but they were all Airbnbs/homestays that needed a confirmed check-in time upfront. As a solo traveler, I had no idea what time Iβd roll in, so 24-hour reception was a total lifesaver. Second win: location. Itβs right near the Water of Leith Weir, and only 2km from the Castleβan easy 30-minute walk for me. Half the walkβs through leafy residential areas with loads of churches, the other half along busy roads leading to Princes Street. Getting to see two totally different vibes on my way back to the hotel was such a nice touch. All in all, even the cheapest room here is miles better than the hostel. 100% a 5-star rating from me!β
βMark was a wonderful guide on Friday! I would highly recommend his informative, amusing tour. We learned a ton and it went at a great pace!β
βMy Dad and I did the Isle of Skye, Highlands and Loch Ness three day tour with Colin and it was unbelievable. We saw so much in our three days and we got very lucky with perfect weather. The B&B they booked for us was first-class and Colin did a fantastic job as our guide. He gave us the history of Scotland, great restaurant recommendations and made our experience top notch. I would definitely use Discover Scotland again and I recommend it to anyone who wants to see more of Scotland.β
βWeβve had Tricky Ricky twice for our childrenβs birthdays and heβs been fabulous. Had the group of 5/6 year olds laughing away and fully entertained for the full hour both times. Thanks Tricky! Would really recommendβ

Connor was very nice and I didnβt feel under any pressure he listened to what I wanted, gave advice and left me to think about my choices. Overall a very enjoyable experience. New divan and mattress being delivered in under 10 days plus free delivery. What more can I say, excellent! Highly recommend. Great price, great bed, great service. Well doneβ
βWe have had an absolutely fantastic experience with Kumon Maths and English at the Corstorphine centre! My 4.5-year-old daughter has been attending for a few months now, and weβve seen incredible progress in both her Maths and English skills. A special mention to Kanika, who is simply outstanding. Her dedication, patience, and positive approach make such a difference. Kanika ensures that every child feels supported and confident in their learning journey. My daughter looks forward to every session and enjoys her learning β all thanks to Kanikaβs encouragement and the structured Kumon programme. I would highly recommend this centre to any parent looking to build a strong foundation in Maths and English for their child. Thank you, Kanika and team, for all your hard work.β
βSuch a wonderful place run by wonderful people. I love the prenatal yoga classes and homebirth meetings. We've just been to the Active Birth workshop today with Daisy and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Many thanks!β

βHad a party at the weekend for our daughterβs 7th birthday, tie dye t shirts and slime making. Kirsty kept all the kids engaged and everyone had great fun. The trays with building sticks and drawing stencils for kids to play with inbetween and before went down really well.A different party for creative kids but lots of fun. Kids couldnβt wait to see their tie dye creations. Would highly recommendβ
βThe Art and Spirituality Centre is a wonderful space to hold classes and workshops. I have hosted several sessions in the centre and it is always a pleasure to teach there. Giada, the owner, is very welcoming and friendly she is always happy to help with any questions that I have had. The space is very spacious and adaptable for all types of classes and events. Its location is accessible to get to from different areas across the city. As well as being an accessible location, it is accessible for those with disabilities as it's entrance is on street level and the centre is across one floor. I would highly recommend visiting the centre for classes and to hire for your events.β

βWhat an amazing experience we had. Jess was so good and has amazing knowledge of the area. On the way back we saw some dolphins and The captain went back around so we all see them and spend a bit more time with them, that was very special and they didnβt have to do that.β

βI have a Granddaughter in Little Flyers Livingston. When I pick her up she is always happy and tells me she has spent most of her day outdoors. I love that they have free flow. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The manager is very approachable and always greets parents with a smile. Great nursery with lots of links to the community. Would highly recommend.β
βAnother fantastic stay at these kennels for my two dogs, Fergus and Alba. They always get excited to get in when we arrive and love their βholidayβ . Would never go anywhere else as I know 100% that theyβre extremely well cared for and I donβt need to worry about them.β
βIt is the first music museum I have been to and my favorite music museum in the UK so far. It is a combo of concert hall and music museum which belongs to the University of Edinburgh. The exhibit is so amazing, in addition to displaying some native British instruments, there are many French, Italian, German and even other foreign instruments. Originally, the piano without art painting is the piano of the common people, and the piano with art painting is the piano of the nobility. I love the harpsichord (picture 6), with Greek mythology hidden inside the lid, flowers painted on the sound board, a art about Chinese market depicted on the outside, and the piano legs are gilt in gold color. The German curator of the museum explained because that the harpsichord was bought by the French aristocrats and they chose the pattern themselves, and they hired several different painters, thatβs why the finished product eventually presented in different patterns and styles, but in fact, there were many 17 centuryβs harpsichords and pianos of the French aristocrats like this. Thanks to her very much patient explanation, I felt so educated today. They said people can next book a tour guide online in advance, which I will do so next time when I come back, so that I can learn more interesting musical instrument history.β
βAmazing bookstore with wide collections! Has a large area for reading and a small cafe inside. Located in a beautiful historical building.β
