“My husband and I loved this pub!! We randomly stumbled in for drinks one afternoon because my husband had to use the bathroom and it quickly became our favorite pub! We are Americans and were expecting people to be snarky to us because, ya know, but Karyn (our bartender) was incredibly friendly and we had a great chat. She told us about their open mic night on tuesdays and it was great- everyone was talented! Then we came back later on during the week for lunch and it was delicious. The owner, Kym, is lovely! Great service, environment and food- what more can you ask for?!”

“Stellar experience. First the wine was very refreshing and simply delicious. The selection and pairings with the food was perfect. Then the food itself was delicate, diverse and sometimes even complex,but always with pleasure and taste as the center. The chef is very skilled, and the whole crew makes for the best hosts. “Dinner out done right Loved this pub to eat at. Vibrant garden on a Saturday night with people enjoying a drink and good time by the looks of it. Inside was very nice and the food was to die for. I had the lamb and was asked how I would like it cooked and this is something you don’t often get in finer dining establishments. Very very impressed. Thank you to Emily and Alex who served us.”

“Really good experience here tonight, food was lovely, service was fast & friendly, we had burgers & onion rings, which were huge. Came in as we had an offer but will definitely be back to try the steaks. Recommend if you are in the area. Hubby had the Highlander burger which he said was delicious, I had the hot chix I asked for sauce separate, thankful I did it was hot for me but nice.”

“Traditional Scottish bar with a fantastic selection of quality ales at reasonable prices. Bar is spotlessly clean and the beer is well kept. Has a number of televisions around the bar making it an ideal place for watching sporting events. I hadn't been in here in years, but won't leave it so long next time. Recommended”

“I stayed at the apartments for 1 night over the weekend for the Christmas markets in Edinburgh. The room was spacious and clean, with many add-ons included - iron, ironing board, blow drier, straightening iron, shower gel, conditioner, shampoo, hand soap, hand cream, air purifier, bluetooth speaker, TV. The temperature is automatically regulated but you could request a higher/lower temperature by speaking to staff. The staff was really accommodating and let us check-in 30 mins before 3pm. We had no issues with the room, except a weird sound coming from the radiator every so often. I recommend these rooms highly if you're looking for accommodation near the centre close to shops.”

“I have tried many Indian restaurants in Edinburgh but now I have a stop - Taste of Delhi. Delicious food, awesome chef and very carefully delivered by the team. Makes me feel like it's worth spending money on Indian food when I order from taste of Delhi. Would recommend all to try taste of Delhi, without any delay. Cheers to Team.”

“Quietly located just off the Royal Mile and 5 minutes walk to Holyroodhouse palace. Room is comfy and a bit spacious. Early check in was granted at no cost. All staff at the reception were great as well as Megan at the restaurant.”

The food was delicious and beautifully presented and served. There was almost zero waste as everyone loved it! Lots of guests commented on the staff being so helpful and friendly and generally facilitating the whole day going so well. We thoroughly recommend ESFW.”

“We come to Gullane every year for the Scottish Open Golf, from our home in The Lakes, and always look forward to a return visit to The Main Course and see the familiar friendly faces of the wonderful staff...and of course, the food. The quality is always top notch, the potions perfectly sized and the flavour delivery exceptional. In my photos, you'll see our shared starters....lots of crispy calamari and to balance that, perfect bruschetta. We then had the calzone pizza and the knock out beef ravioli in a sage sauce. A request for a simple side garden salad, not on the menu, was no problem at all. Negroni cocktails kicked things off, and a bottle of Soave Superiore Classico for under £30 (a great price for this) was enjoyed throughout the meal, ending with their lovely tiramisu. Well done to all the chefs, staff and the owners at The Main Course. You have a great place. Many thanks for looking after us. See you next time.”

“Great small cafe on the corner in quiet area, delicious food, especially breakfast and coffee. I took eggs Benedict with salmon, so tasty! fresh bread and salmon, perfectly cooked eggs coveref with delicious sauce. Yummy! Atmosphere is really chilled in the cafe and service was good. For two dishes with coffee and juice I paid £30.”

“Went on a Thursday with no booking and, although there was an hour wait outside, the queue moved quicker than expected. Once inside, the atmosphere was Christmassy, warm, and festive. Service was excellent, and our waitress Cecile was fantastic - attentive, friendly, and checked in on us throughout. A lovely experience overall.”
