“I really liked staying here on my trip. Everything I wanted to see was walking distance. The rooms was nice and clean and I liked that each bed had curtains and own light. I was staying in a 18 people room, and everyone was nice and respectful. Living on the fourth floor I was thankful for the elevator, as the walking in Edinburgh had my legs feeling very tired when I got home in the evening. The staff was so sweet and helpful, whenever I had questions. :)”

“Stayed in a private room which honestly was great. Reception very helpful when I arrived very early. The room was good and bed was comfy. Bathroom was good. Yes lots of noise from the alleyway outside but just wear ear plugs. Couldn't get much better for a location. And the price couldn't get much better at this time of year. Thanks!”

“Great option for a stay with easy access to the airport and city center via a bus stop right across the street, friendly staff, and beautiful rooms! I’ve already recommended to a friend, especially if you’re traveling in a group. We stayed in their larger room with 4 beds and it was a great change of pace at the end of our trip through Scotland.”

“AMAZING! I would 100% recommend this accommodation to any student. You literally cannot get a better location for studying at Edinburgh University. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are lovely, the kitchen is great and the staff are so kind and helpful. Every friend who came to visit complimented it - I can't think of a better place to live in town. There are shops and restaurants near by and it is a central and safe area. The bins outside didn't bother me at all - like in the other review - and if you feel like you cant study here (don't know why that would be) the library is literally on the campus across the road so no issues. Best accommodation in Edinburgh!”

“Great budget hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely clean room, likewise the bed and shower room. Great bottomless breakfast. Glad we stayed. Would definitely stay again. Staff help give the whole weekend a great vibe. The city is bustling, with exceptional shopping, fantastic pubs and restaurants. Staying here right in the centre of it all, is a must.”

“Perfect low budget hostel! We had a private family room. Rooms are clean, staff is really friendly, the bar downstairs is always alive and a great place to have a drink and meet people. Location is also perfect, everything is in walking distance! We didn’t book the breakfast but from what I saw there was plenty of choice.”

“My wife and I stayed at the end of June. Both Pride and the Royal Highland Show were ongoing at the time, making Edinburgh super busy, so staying here was a fantastic choice. As the hotel is on Princess Street, we were in the perfect spot for pretty much anything we wanted to do. We were within walking distance of everything and had a fantastic view of Edinburgh Castle from our room. All of the staff were very polite, friendly, and welcoming. This was consistent from the moment we checked in, throughout every breakfast, until the moment we checked out. The newly renovated rooms are excellent. The bed was comfortable, the TV was modern and easy to use, and the bathroom/shower was really clean. We're definitely going to be staying again, and can't recommend it enough. It was our first time in Edinburgh, and having such a great, well-located, and friendly place to come back to made the trip what it was. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff who made us feel at home during our stay!”

“We had room 21 on the first floor that included 3x single beds and an ensuite. The beds were comfortable with additional blankets and pillows available upon request and an extra heater if needed although the central heating was mostly enough for us. There was plentiful hot water and a very good water pressure. The room was cleaned on a daily basis to a really good level. The ensuite was spacious enough for us and there is a communal toilet in the basement which is helpful and kept to a very good cleanliness level. We would definitely visit this hotel again and recommend it to others.”

“Visited on a voucher deal B & B with a cocktail. Yes the room was a bit dated but it was very clean, spacious and well equipped. The "cocktail" was any drink from the bar, breakfast was excellent everything individually wrapped or served by the chef. Special mention to all the staff who were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. For the price we paid we had a fabulous stay - drinks in the bar are very reasonable so worth giving them a bit of extra income from your stay especially if you get as good a deal as we did. It's also 2 minutes from the station/tram stop/bus routes so excellent for a short break.”

“This is one of most comfortable hotel I had in my 2month Europe trip. The price meet the quality perfectly. Efficient helpful staff. Good location for transit. The best part is no reception, and no cleaning room every day so you have freedom to control your own time. I never understood why towels needed to be washed everyday after your own use!(unless that's what you did at home); and someone else had to make your bed everyday!(unless being served is very important while you are traveling.) This is not a hostel. With all the equipment you need in your room, 2 large common rooms and kitchen. This is a home while you are traveling.”

“Was warmly welcomed by Tracey on reception who was most helpful. Room was much better than expected for a 3 star hotel, very clean and fresh, decent shower, and fluffy towels. The bed was quite comfortable, could've used an extra pillow, but that's just my preference. Onsite restaurant ,Oscars, had a good choice to suit most palates, I particularly enjoyed the steak pie. Overall, a very nice stay, and I would stay there again in future.”

“(I booked my stay via Booking.com, and this review is also over there) First off, the staff. The staff here are absolutely fantastic, some of the most kind and helpful people I've ever met while staying somewhere. Thankfully there were no problems, but if there were then it's great to know that there are staff available 24/7. The room we stayed in was a family suite, it was huge, and most importantly comfortable. It was basically a full apartment. It had a nice shower room, living/dining area and a master bedroom. The living room had 2 sofa beds in so there was space for 6 people really, so for my family of 4 stay, we had ample space to be comfortable. The bedding was super clean, there were towels provided, and the pillows, they are feather and REALLY comfortable also. The location of this hotel is superb. It's next to a tram stop, bus stop, so it's easy to get to train stations, the zoo, castle, town and more within minutes. I've got to say, if/when I visit Edinburgh again, I'll certainly be staying here!”

“Only stayed one night but it is a lovely family run hotel. Excellent customer service and friendly staff. We were able to leave our bags prior to check in and also departure. The location was excellent for getting to lots of famous spots. We didn’t have the breakfast so cannot comment on that. Rooms are a little dated in decor but clean and have everything you need.”

“Great hospitality. They allowed us before the checkin time as the rooms werent occupied. At the day of check out, they were very kind enough to store our luggages with them as we headed to sight seeing and we had evening train. The rooms were clean and the products give were neat and clean. Keep up the great job..”

“Great location for a great price. Very conveniently close to a lot of monuments - can walk to a lot of shops, cafes, restaurants and sights within 20min. Yes, the sound proofing could be a bit better, but I've noticed that it's a common flaw in most Scottish buildings. We were a party of 4 and the apartment we stayed at was very accommodating. Didn't interact with any staff but it was easy to move around and check in/out on your own. Yes, the elevator can only hold two people w/ two bags, but what do you expect with smaller/older apartments. The macerator feature was interesting but we understand the usage, though yes, the sound can be surprising (especially for people new to it). Overall, a solid stay - would stay at again!”

“Lovely little bed and breakfast in Murrayfield right near the Edinburgh zoo (walking distance), a must see for international travellers. Staff are friendly and incredibly attentive. A simple breakfast is served daily. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Although the hotel is outside of Edinburgh main city centre, a bus stop is right outside of the accommodation, making it easy to travel around. Make sure you download the relevant app to figure out which is the right bus to take. Would definitely stay here again when we return to Edinburgh. Great value for money. The hosts were incredibly sweet, which made the trip even more special.”
