“We are still not out of the woods but wanted to reassure anyone who has to take their beloved pet here as an emergency that these people will do everything they can. My cat Winston was feeling poorly and not eating too well. After taking him to my normal vet (Dundas Veterinary Group: never again) they told me his creatinine value was 1200 which is not good. 24 hours of fluids and no pain management, only trying to get him some gabapentin via food which he wasn’t eating and his condition was not improving and second blood panel showed 2300 creatinine. I didn’t want to give up especially since no imaging had been done so we received a priority referral to the small animal hospital and the treatment and bedside manner has been night and day. Winston was put on antibiotics, fluids and imaging was done among other things. These things take time and as of this morning his kidney values are back to normal ! Even if things do not end the way we want, I am so comforted by the fact that my cat is getting the absolute best care. Thank you to Joel and Esther and the team for taking such good care your patients and their owners.”

“My little old man was very unwell and tired towards the end. The care and love the vet shown at this time was amazing. She was so lovely and made the moment easier. My boy looked like he just slipped peacefully. The after care was amazing also. I requested his footprints and I received a beautiful paw print in a keepsake box along with prints of his nose and a little glass bottle of his fur. A handwritten card and a pkt if forget me knot seeds. I was not expecting all that. These vets are caring and professional and not just doing their job the genuinely care. So thank u abercorn vets for making my little patch last moments comfortable.”

“David Rimer has been our Vet for over 25 years, he is amazing, a lot of experience, professional, calm, reassuring. He loves his job and is a great advocate for the practice. He has looked after my previous dogs, then I had a gap and when I got my new dog, 18 months ago, I went straight back to the practice and discovered he was still working, so I was delighted. I did not have to start over a new relationship with another vet. PS I love the new improvements at the surgery. PS the receptionist - Diana is amazing, friendly, helpful, kind. “All the staff at Vets4pets have been amazing over the last couple of days, from reception to nursing staff and both vets. I felt so reassured that my dog was in good hands as staff were so clear about the procedure, follow up and patient at answering all my questions. They were brilliant with my dog, so gentle and caring and they made me feel so relaxed during a stressful time. They all appeared to have great knowledge of veterinary care and every member of staff was aware of my dogs situation and were so caring while we were in the practice. The vet was able to see us immediately when I had concerns following my dogs procedure and additionally, the out of hours vets service were fantastic at answering questions and being available for support. “Lovely local vets. I have a new puppy and they were very helpful. Friendly staff.Giving me space to make my own decisions but the knowledge to make an informed decision. Plenty of leaflets in reception area. Warm welcoming. The staff are so Friendly. Book online or via the phone. They send regular deworming medication in the post. The consultation rooms are great space for health check ups. The practice does minor and major Ops and have a pet hospital for overnight cases. The staff take such great care from advice over the phone if needed to how well they manage and deal with the pets. All of the vets and vet nurses are so helpful, knowledgeable and great with the animals. we are so happy to start our journey at this practice”
