“Beautiful green place with the Water of Leith path and river. Great for any kind of activity as well as for relaxation and pleasure; dog walking, bird watching etc. Lovely. Absolutely lovely!”
“Small nice park. Playground for children. Large trees for shadow.”
“This place is brilliant. Lots of parking spaces. The toilet is closed now. The Loch is beautiful to walk round lots of ducks & swans to feed. It can be easilu walked round in 20mins with a slow dog. There are also woody walks you can do as lots of foresty areas. The Playpark is just around the corner and it's a good one! Lots for all kids ages to do definately reccommend here.”
“Nice place for a stroll with kids or dog,see squirrels, ducks, swans and plenty other wildlife.Small cafe which is good.”
“Good fun for a night out and great that you can take a drink around with you. Several members of our group couldn't make it last minute but the staff were kind enough to give us vouchers to redeem the games at a later date so we didn't lose money (valid for 12 months). Both Amie and Cerys had a lovely manner about them and were so helpful. We had a fun time.”
“Fantastic park to let your four legged friend run around. Our dog loves it.”
“The staff was superb helping us out, gave great recommendations. Short walk to the bust stop making it easy to get to downtown Edinburgh. We have camped all over the United States and now have 10 days in Scotland under our belt. This facility has the best and cleanest bathrooms/showers anywhere.”
“best walking place, All the dogs you meet on this trail appear really friendly”
“Very friendly volunteers, great football watching experience.”
“Great place for walking the dog or for taking the kids out to the park”
“A pleasant path for walking and running. It can get a bit crowded on sunny days, making it a little too narrow for comfortable running, but overall it’s a beautiful walk.”
“It's a great place to chill. In the center you can find a pond full of life. You can even feed the wildlife if you have bird food with you. There's a good area to enjoy the sun (when there's sun) with your friends or family. It's nearby the Meadowbank so you can always grab a coffee and take a walk around the park.”
“Nice big park. Great for the team sports and dogs.”
“Free country park ,trout fishing available or just a nice place to chill or walk the dog”
“Very nice place with a bit of everything, mainly orientated for play and leasure. I spent a good time in family or by myself in the gym. Birthday party for kids are very usual as well. It is clean and has secure car parking although I found the spaces quite narrow and it can get very busy.”
“Birthday party for 6yr old went very well. They were well entertained for and hour and a half and came away saying they had the best time ever. Two big slides were a hit as well as the small soft play - mainly the slide and ball pool. Pizza and chips for the meal was just what the kids wanted after a hard morning bouncing.”
“It's a good place for family fun. You have all you need.”
“Great swimming experience. Clean and Covid-safe changing environment, well managed. Nice water temperature and pool depth. Good range of lane speeds, would recommend now that we can use pools again!”
“Easy to find and staff are a great help”
“We enjoyed a terrific break over Christmas. Caravan was immaculate and in a lovely quiet spot. The park itself looked suitably festive and the staff were thoughtful and helpful, even visiting the van to check we had enough kitchen utensils for Xmas day. Can't wait to come back. Thank you for the brilliant customer service, folks!”
“One of the few places you can let small children run about through trees in complete safety”
“fantastic large open park with closed area for children to play on swings etc. access to the woods behind the park leads into a wonderful "almost" unspoiled wooded area. great to explore with a dog or kids. old quarry area with extremelly high cliff edge. need to be extra careful at this point as not closed off properly, but there are minimal warning signs. My dog and I love coming here was it is still a bit wild although it is a small area”
“My favourite park in Edinburgh as it’s always deserted and great to go to just chill”
“I love five guys so much and this is our go to branch. Never had a bad experience. Always fresh and yummy. Only complaint is why is it so expensive :(”
“I must say about Ms. Am**da. She is the best example of customer or front desk service. I got all information as I need. Though most of the information are available in website. You can ask any question inside staff for anything. They are helpful. We are enjoying while we are there. Recommended...”
“We were pleasantly surprise to find a place in Edinburgh which served "all you can eat" buffet and there was plenty of vegetarian food. Not only there was continental food but a lot of Indian including Dosa, mutter paneer, chili paneer, dal tadka, pani puri, bhel, pav bhaji and a lot more. Desserts included Jalebi and Gulab jamun. A very courteous team of people who were willing to help at every step. Absolutely awesome experience.”
“A small car park, about 12 spot, close to the reservoir. A short walk from there and your ready to set of for a walk around the reservoir.”
“Great for exploring the hidden areas of nature. If you know 'The St. Katherine's Den' (in a photo below) you will probably find me hanging out with my sister”
“Nice kid area .good for walk ,running and playing football and cricket. Big and clean”
“One of the nicest sites we have camped at. Great pitch size. A busy site, but didn't feel too crowded. The toilet and shower facilities were fantastic and extremely clean. Great showers. Cubicles had plenty of hooks for our clothes/towel/bag etc. Nothing got wet. Plenty of hand basins, with light up mirrors, and single Cubicles as well. Well stocked shop with reasonable prices. We were 2 adults camping so didn't use the playground or games room, but both looked great. The staff were pleasant, polite and friendly. Excellent location for Edinburgh city centre. Bus stop just outside drive entrance, with regular buses. Would not hesitate to recommend.”
