“Excellent - lovely pub, huge room which was tastefully decorated. Staff friendly and attentive. Excellent value for money and allow dogs too. We will definitely be coming back.”
“A proper little oasis. Making a tour on our motorcycles, we stumbled upon the Green Dragon. We needed safe parking for our bikes, good accommodation, decent beer and a hearty meal. The staff provided with all of the above, nothing was too much trouble for them. Thanks Folks. Timpo.”
“Had visited for a lunch prior to leaving the area, the staff were friendly, the patio was open and clean. A great day to enjoy a great meal before the train. Food was delicious, drinks poured strong and promptly. Enjoying a great afternoon would be ideal in this idyllic area. If you’re a traveller, this is the spot to meet locals and enjoy what the best in town has to offer.”
“My partner and I had a lovely stay here. The location is great as it's right near town and Princes Ave. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. They we're also very helpful in regards to finding places in the area. The room was comfy and clean and provided very nice tea/coffee/biscuits. We really enjoyed the cooked breakfast and there was also a good variety of other options available- cereals etc. We'll definitely be staying again!”
“Fantastic friendly pub with a good selection of drinks..Rooms clean and tidy and breakfast excellent.. Definitely value for money.stopped there.during a two day golf game.”
“I arrived to a warm welcome after a long drive from Brighton with my lab/collie dog. Jo was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and quiet. Would definitely stay again when visiting family.”
“Fantastic site. Very clean and tidy site and accommodation. Well stocked shop, restaurant, bar and arcades. Lovely staff. Brilliant beach access. Easy access in and out to drive to nearby areas. Will look forward to staying again.”
“I had a great stay last week. Chaotic travel to Beverley so it was fantastic to get such a welcoming stay. I had lovely beer, massive comfy room, nice conversation and even a couple of rounds of cards. Next morning I was treated to a great full English breakfast. What a find! Certainly recommend staying, and would be a pub I'd enjoy have a few pints at too”
“We had a wonderful wedding here and want to say a huge thank you to Beth, who was incredible from start to finish. After two years of planning, nothing was ever too much trouble, and she made everything feel personal and special. The on-the-day coordinator was also fantastic, keeping everything running smoothly (and even saving the day with a cocktail at the end of the aisle!), and the evening team and bar staff the night before were all so kind and helpful. There were a few areas that could be improved – breakfast being served in the reception room meant guests saw the setup early, there’s no bridal suite for getting ready, and the bar staff on the wedding day seemed quite new and a little overwhelmed, especially with the wine service. That said, the Pavilion Suite was spacious, the food was amazing (with lovely thoughtful touches and great catering for dietary needs), and overall the team worked so hard to make it a magical day. With a few tweaks from management, this venue could be perfect, and we’d still happily recommend it to future couples”
“Went to a baby shower at the restaurant @ the Gardeners country inn today 1/10/22. The owners/managers were such lovely people and went over and above to make sure we had a lovely time. Food excellent, staff couldn’t do enough for us and the venue was just perfect. Lovely place to have a wedding/christening or party. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you all.”
“Stayed in an excellent caravan on the meadows.. very quiet, the site was extremely clean. We had the added bonus of ducks ducklings swans and cygnets to watch on the ponds. Would definitely stay here again.”
“This is a proper local pub and also accommodation. It's spotless clean, very attentive, helpful staff (especially Dianne) it's a down to earth local. The customers are friendly and the beer is good. Well worth a visit.”
“Lovely and neat rooms, nice bed and in a very good location. Only down side is only 30mins free wifi per day.”
“Beautiful park. We upgraded but the caravan was super clean, warm central heating, mattresses were comfy. Nice selection of drinks in the bar, a little shop and a bit of entertainment. Nice view of the sea from our van. Was good value. Staff were all very polite abd a good laugh.”
“Absolutely delightful place. Ian greeted me on arrival with a very welcome cuppa. Met Carole and their dog Jasper later, also very friendly. My room was spacious, bright and pretty. Some cute touches here and there. Had a nice evening meal at pub down the road (walking distance) Breakfast was very well catered for little old me! Poached eggs on toast was delicious. After a post brekkie stroll, I had to leave. The house was immaculate everywhere. I only stayed one night but felt like I was saying goodbye to family, so homely for a solo traveller. Highly recommend.”
“Gorgeous house, extremely clean and well stocked with kitchen essentials. Lovely to receive a homemade cake, nice touch. Excellent house for relaxing and forgetting about the world. Hot tub with field views and massive enclosed garden for the dog.”

“very good clean place friendly helpful owner good quality accommodation walkable town centre I highly recommend which is unusual for me !”
“On arrival at Lilly's Pad, Mark was there to greet us with his warm engaging smile and sense of humour! He and Becky couldn't do enough for us to make our stay as pleasant as possible, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms we stayed in during our visits were 'Jasmine' and 'Lady Grey'. They were just delightful and reminiscent of a bygone age. The home cooked breakfasts which we had in the light and airy tearoom were just delicious....as were the jacket potatoes and cakes lovingly made by Becky. Having sampled other B & B's in the area, Lilly's Pad has become our firm favourite, and we would always try there first for availability. Also highly recommended, is a visit to the quaint little Ice Cream Parlour/Sweet Shop which is the first thing seen as one enters this wonderful old building steeped in history. 'Cherry Bakewell' and 'Lemon Crunch' are def flavours to sample as totally yummy! It was also handy being able to buy a box of chocolates there for a gift....everything we needed really under one roof. Thank you Mark and Becky for being so special! X”
“A clean and convenient place to stay and excellent value. Use of well-equipped kitchen a bonus.”
“Visited the week before Halloween and the park was much quieter, which was to be expected. At Reception, we were given clear instructions on where to find the caravan we were staying in. We had a pet friendly caravan which was in really good condition, full of the usual equipment needed for self catering. The caravan itself was a really good size. We ate once in the restaurant, which served the usual fayre but service was nice and quick. The site itself was well maintained with staff always being friendly. All in all, this was a lovely short break away!”
“Amy was so down to earth, search a lovely lady and had no problem with my extensive list of requests. I thought I was a pain, but Amy really went above and beyond. Thank you so much!”
“A small guest house, rooms are spotless, shared bathroom etc are also immaculate. Staff are so friendly it's like family, can't do enough for you. Close enough to the town center on foot, very quiet area no traffic sounds to cause disturbance.”
“First time we ever stayed there for a week due to work commitments, and i've got to say it was one of the best hotels we stayed in. The staff were very friendly even in the bar and the food was lovely, the room were clean and and one of the best night's sleeps i've had in a long time. We will be back”
“I booked this room and later read the reviews which was shocking but turned out to be really quiet, cosy, clean and comfortable. Person who helps you with your questions and expectations gets back to you within seconds, we asked for heating and room was piping hot within 10mins. I really don’t understand what people expect these days for £30-40. If i paid £150 then i would ve complain but for this price u get what u pay for.”
