“This is definitely the best Weatherspoons I have ever visited. The staff were very efficient in clearing and cleaning tables down as customers left ( something that lets its Rochdale branch Regal Moon down). Staff were also friendly and polite. The Commercial Inn has a bright airy feel to it and a calm relaxed atmosphere and a lovely view of the church opposite. Our food was nice and hot and well cooked. Excellent value for money too, we had the large breakfast which included a hot drink with free refills, a very pleasurable experience. It will definitely be my go to for breakfast when staying in the area.”

“An above average wetherspoons, great decor usual atmosphere as it was a breakfast visit, food is good and drink is really cheap £2.89 for a pint of Guinness. 2 breakfasts and 2 pints for under £13, can't go wrong.”

“Stayed here in the carpark overnight so we could get to an appointment the next day at 9.30 instead of leaving home at stupid o’clock. The staff were great and very helpful and friendly, and out dog loved the free home made doggie biscuits The food was brilliant and all homemade fresh.”

“Gorgeous little cafe, can’t believe we’ve never been before! Came for lunch, service was good, chatted to the owner too who was lovely. Only gripe was a fairly young server kept coming to take some of our party’s empty plates away while others were still eating. We asked them to come back the first time for when we were all finished, but they came back within a minute and started grabbing plates off the table. Not a huge deal but just a note to help improve staff training hopefully.”

“Very welcoming and accommodating staff, who were very attentive but not overly so. The food menu was interesting and varied. Everything we ordered was tasty, hot and well presented. The drink selection was comprehensive and nicely chilled. Very dog friendly with a selection of snacks and drinks available for canine friends. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a nice cosy pub atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back.”

“Absolutely amazing. Had a little mini moon at the premier in next door and chose this pub as our evening meal both nights. The 1st night we order from the normal menu. Food was out quick. Decent portions. Amazing flavours. Chiabata to die for. Cocktails are strong but amazing. Second night we ordered the 3 course menu for 15.99. Timing amazing. Food amazing. Staff are so attentive and make your experience a great one. For a pub this Food was on par with a restaurant. We didn't tell anyone that we was on honeymoon. We just enjoyed the amazing service as normal everyday customers. 5 star. I defo will be returning.”

“Just got back from Breakfast with Santa and our first visit here. Had a lovely morning. Really enjoyed the buffet style breakfast so you only have to have the bits that you like! Santa and his elves were lovely, and my daughter was thrilled with her present and certificate . It was also reasonably priced, we definitely didn’t feel like we’d been over charged for the experience. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back for another breakfast at somepoint.”

“We have been here quite a few times now and like to visit on a Thursday or Friday afternoon before the weekend crowds descend on the City centre. On our last visit we ordered a selection of nibbles to put us on and I think the choices we made were perfect . We especially liked the cod cheeks. John doesn't like Oysters but I couldn't resist the offer that they had on of 6 Lindisfarne Oysters and 2 glasses of @nyetimber for £34. The oysters were the biggest I have ever seen and they were yummy. Angelica's has a great happy hour that is actually 4 hours long. My favourite was the frozen pina colada and John opted for the frozen strawberry daiquiri. It's so nice to sit outside on the rooftop terrace and it's not a problem if it's a little chilly as there are heaters under the parasols.”

“An unplanned visit as needed a pit stop. A welcoming place, with a great friendly service. A gently humming spacious inside and pretty outside seating area, with various groups of people enjoying a coffee or a full English. I left feeling refreshed after my cup of hot Twinnings tea.”

“As far as an authentic local pub with the right mix of types of food and spread of beer on top this place ticks all the damn boxes. Ordered the small plates and chewed away to my beer. It all hit the spot. Will recommend and about to order some takeaway burgers too”

“Did not have food here, only sat for another pint before going home. Great location right next to Museum of Leeds. Nice little square, close to Leeds University and other historical buildings in city centre. The place has a large and very convenient seating outside on a terrace. Excellent for summer times drinks and food, coming to chill with a friend or a casual date.”

“Lovely bistro with good range of reasonably priced cocktails and great food. They have daily good offers to so tonight was buy a pizza and get one free Monday! The staff are all friendly and efficient. You also have the choice of sitting inside or outside, or upstairs inside or on the roof terrace.”
