“We got married at Wentbridge in August, and we honestly couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were struck not only by the beauty of the country house itself, with its charming character and stunning gardens, but also by the exceptional service delivered by every member of the team. The staff truly provide a 5-star experience. They were professional, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. Many of our guests even went out of their way to tell us how wonderful the staff were on the day. As a same-sex couple, one of the biggest reasons we chose Wentbridge was because we were treated with complete warmth and equality from the very start. We always felt valued, respected, and celebrated, never “different”, and that meant the world to us. The food was another major highlight. There were plenty of options and the team were so flexible in tailoring everything to what we wanted. We chose afternoon tea for our wedding breakfast, and it went down brilliantly with our guests, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. A real luxury touch! Wentbridge is a perfect all rounder wedding venue. With family travelling from all over, having plenty of rooms on-site was ideal, and the variety of spaces throughout the hotel created a natural, enjoyable flow to the day. We were able to make the most of both the indoor and outdoor areas, giving us the best of both worlds. A special thank you to Chloe, Ellie, and Karen, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their support made the whole experience feel seamless. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more, and Wentbridge House played a huge part in that. We’re so grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a truly exceptional place to celebrate their big day.”

“Great place for all your pet food”

“We recently visited Vets4Pets with our cat Trixie, who has asthma. Over the last week, she had been struggling with a wheezy chest and wasn't eating much. We saw the vet Ryan, who was very gentle with our cat. The appointment didn't feel rushed, and Ryan suggested some steroids and antibiotics. Almost overnight, we saw a transformation in Trixie as she turned back into her happy self. Two weeks later, we went for a follow-up appointment, and again we saw Ryan. He checked her out, and all looked fine. He gave us further advice, and we were very happy and felt confident that our cat received the best possible care. Thank You”

“The food is amazing, home cooked, very tasty. My son fancied something different so had waffles, the presentation was increadable. He thoroughly enjoyed them. I had steak sandwich with home cooked chips. Very nice indeed. Highly recommend, well worth a visit. You may have to wait for a table however it is worth the wait. Staff are very welcoming. Russ was great at calming down one very fussy little 5 month old Sprocker. It's a shame she did not stay clean or smelling nice for long.”

“Can’t recommend the cafe in this garden centre highly enough. My granddaughter never fails to clean her plate when we bring her here for lunch - the food is always freshly cooked and of the highest quality. The staff are friendly and polite - we visited today and had a toddler and a frail elderly pensioner in a wheel chair- there was no tables free on the lower floor and we thought we were going to have to try and man handle my father out of his wheel chair and onto the mezzanine - Keren came to our rescue and instantly made room for us in a more accessible spot - I can’t thank her enough she was so kind and considerate . She is a credit to her employers and I know this can’t one off as she has offered help on the past when we’ve been struggling. This kind of service is the reason we make the trip regularly from Mexborough - not an easy journey but the service is worth it !!! Love the garden centre too!”

“I've been to this Tesco when I was travelling to Leeds. The manager Frazer is the best person in this shop. He was really helpful and showed me all the things that I wanted to buy. I definitely recommend everyone to talk to him incase you'd have difficulty in finding whatever you're looking for. His customer service was spot-on. Thank you so much Frazer.”
