“As a fourth year student I have tried many a chip far and wide. If you value shape, depth, crispiness, softness inside… chicken stop is the place for you. Sure, the woman at the front could be a bit more positive. However the feeling you’ll get once you bite into such perfectly cooked, crisp chips will beat any negative emotion any server could give you. I recently had the pleasure of tasting a cheesy chip, also. The cheese? Incredible. Combined with the immaculately cooked chip? A unique combination you can only find at chicken stop.”

“Visited on a Sunday. Very busy. Just made it in time before queues got longer. Car park was heaving. A great band played christmas carols outside to welcome the customers. Enjoyed a great cappucino & fresh cream scone. Cake was big enough to to share. The staff were helpful & courteous. Will definitely visit again.”

“Having just been talked to like a moron from the BP Subway up the road by the manager, the customer in that subway recommended this subway that it’s much nicer here. So, Pratik was here behind the sandwich bar, and helped me order a nacho chicken sandwich, which isn’t a sandwich anymore so he helped me figure it (I had to spend £2 extra, but the service and customer service made the £2 worth it). Then he recommended which were the colder of the water bottles to get, and reminded me to get a cookie as it was part of the meal deal. And we had a joke and a laugh too. He even let me sit in, when I think he just wanted to be alone. Top guy, top customer service, top quality sandwich. Thank you very much Pratik, hope to get another sandwich here soon! Adam”

“I never order online, i give them a call and pickup so can never leave a review. so its a really great place, isn't super eye catching but the guys are friendly and the mega meals are awesome and have a good price.. food quality is good, your not going to be getting 5* michelin star stuff but its perfect for a nice takeaway meal. I would encourage everyone in the crossgates area to try it out. for me its a 5*”

“I would recommend this place to all the bachelors who would like to live near to city centre in Leeds. Everything seems to be walkable from this place and this is quite affordable too. No contract for wifi, electricity and water, only contract you have for your house. The Major drawback is the size and location of cooking area. If you don’t wish to cook a lot then it’s a great place to live.”

“Excellent food (I ordered pork spare ribs and prawn toast) and 1st rate customer service. The owners were very polite and happy to help and the service was very attentive and efficient. The complementary prawn went a long way with me as well (I'd had a long day at work with no lunch so was very hungry). Will definitely be visiting again the next time I'm in Ossett.”
