“We dined on a thu evening at The Rise for my parents wedding anniversary. We were greated by a card from the restaurant to my parents which was a lovely touch. For starters we had the cheese souffle. This was delicious however it said with walnuts but we didn't see any. For mains two of us had the lamb shanks, my husband had the fish and chips and my mum had the fish pie. Portion sizes were on the smaller side but more than adequate for us, the fish pie was larger and mum said every mouthful was packed with seafood. All were absolutely beautiful. Delicious well done chef! We only had two desserts, the pavlova and the chocolate mouse. Both were very tasty and each with its own twist on things. Food is on the more expensive side, but you pay for what you get and it's definitely worth it. Drinks are very expensive, nothing special but absolutely OK. Service fabulous the staff never stop working hard to ensure you are well cared for, very attentive. We were served by Jack mainly but all staff were fabulous. We have had two afternoon teas here which were also delicious and wonderful. The whole hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend.”

“Second visit to L'Aquila and another great experience. Between the 4 of us, we had 3 different pasta dishes and a pizza - all really good quality and just right portion sizes. Beer and wine goid choice and decent prices. Both visits have felt like the front of house staff could do with one more at busy times as it was a little slow to take drinks then food orders, and a big gap between serving starters and mains (we like a decent gap, but this was a tad lengthy). Definitely didn't spoil the experience, so don't let it put you off - just be aware and look forward to a bit of a more relaxed pace than you might be used to. We will be back soon.”

“We have eaten here on a number of occasions and we decided to go as a group again last night. As always the staff are lovely, the owner once gave us a lift home when the taxi did not arrive! This is a small family business. The food is excellent and is a fair price for the quality. Would highly recommend.”

“Family meal for sons 30’s. First time eating at Aromas and massively impressed. Service was fabulous- polite and didn’t feel rushed. , food was absolutely gorgeous and staff were superb. The restaurant is very well designed with emphasis on diners comfort & not how many tables can be squeezed into a space to maximise takings. Also reassuringly obvious is the cleanliness of the restaurant. It’s spotless - absolutely spotless throughout. I can’t praise this restaurant highly enough. In a saturated market it must be difficult to offer something that is better in every way than the competition - but Aromas does it and does it without massively over inflated menu prices or a pretentious attitude that leaves you feeling uncomfortable being there. Book a table …. you will not be disappointed.”

“Booked a table online for 8pm, was very easy to do. We got to the venue slightly early but were welcomed in and sat down. Staff were quick and attentive, but it was a Thursday and not many tables in at the time we had booked. Food arrived promptly and was delicious. It was very tasty and filling, and I had to take a doggy bag home.”

“A fantastic spot with superb food, so pleased with everything we had from the Truffle mac & cheese croquettes, Korean bbq king prawns, Sirloin & Brisket Burger to the Duck and chips, Baileys and Chocolate plus Sticky Toffee Pudding. “We had our wedding in the cabin and we couldn't have asked for better. The communication and planning prior to the day was great and Lisa and the staff were accommodating with my requests. “This was a second visit to an Ivy Asia, I went to St Paul’s London and that was a great experience. Ivy Asia Leeds was a really lovely experience also, great for a special meal, I booked it for a 60th Birthday. Service, food and decor is first class. It is definitely worth a visit and fabulous surprise for a family celebration.”

The choice is amazing, the staff are super friendly and the food is made fresh (you can taste it !). I really enjoyed my non alcoholic cocktail. All the food was amazing! “What a fantastic restaurant! We were a table of 17 and despite the numbers all the food was brought out efficiently and correctly. The food was delicious, and the staff ere lovely. The menu is very clear to understand for people with dietary requirements and allergies too. Will 100% be coming back!”

“Yet another awesome sushi restaurant of which there seems to have been an explosion of in recent years which is fab! Beautifully light and crisp mixed tempura, gorgeous fresh sashimi (the mackerel seemed particularly good) and a delicious rainbow roll (I think it was). We then had a couple of the special desserts - apple gyozas and an ice-cream ball rolled in dessicated coconut, dipped in tempura batter and deep fried. Amazing! Wonderful, friendly and polite service and lovely atmosphere. Another one to recommend!”

“When looking for a place to eat we seen this place on Google. We were staying around piccadilly was around 10 min walk from there. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and did everything to make sure you enjoyed the food and your time there, lots of advise and options on food if you weren't sure about anything. Food was amazing and did not have to wait long for it. Great atmosphere lots of laughter from staff and guests. We didnt book but we went at a early time at 4 as it did start getting busy around 5. Will 100% go back here to eat.”
