I usually go for there early bird special, where they offer 8oz, 16oz, and 32oz steaks at very reasonable prices for such high-quality cuts. The steaks are always cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Whether you’re in for a quick meal or a leisurely dinner, it’s a great spot for steak lovers. Highly recommend, especially for the early bird with the unbeatable value!”

“Stayed hear for a night whilst visiting to watch a concert. Arena is right on the doorstep. Restaurant was closed for refurbishment but managed a sneak peek through the door and looks great. Will definitely stay here again”

“Absolutely beautiful food and very accommodating they let me order off the other menu with more vegan options . I had a vegan starter and main and they were both amazing and the presentation was like eating at a very expensive restaurant. My partner and kids had non vegan food and the presentation was just as good and their feedback was that the flavour was top notch. I would 100% recommend for anyone looking to eat out locally and would even encourage people to travel to eat here. I will be returning and thank you for a warm atmosphere and again beautiful food.”

Very tasty and the chef ( hubby) makes all the meals in his open kitchen while his wife chats and explaining about the venue and good selection of wine and takes orders ect, son helps out as well..... “Lovely food, really nice staff. We’ve been three times in the last couple of weeks. The food is first class. The prices are reasonable, in particular the drinks. We like our meats very well cooked, and the beef here is slow cooked over a long time and you can separate the beef by just prodding it with the end of your knife. We cannot find beef like this anywhere else in Halifax, and the portions are quite big. The Sunday lunch roast dinner is brilliant, and you can have a small roast for a tenner but there was still plenty of food on the plate, including a beef steak over half inch thick! We have booked Xmas fayre lunch for the extended family. While they serve food daily, if you only eat out at lunchtime, they are open Friday-Sunday for lunch.”

“Excellent quality food and fantastic service. All the meats were excellent and the staff kept bringing more. There’s a pleasant self-service salad/buffet bar too. It was basically empty on our afternoon visit so we got excellent personal service and everything cooked specifically for us. The minted lamb was my personal favourite. We will be back.”

“This was the first time that I visited the Yorkshire Brasserie. You are made to feel welcome as soon as you enter the restaurant and our breakfast was well presented and very tasty. For the time being there's no on-site parking, although it looks like this will be remedied in the near future. Notwithstanding there is a car park on the right as you head out of town on the A61 Barnsley Road, there is a charge for parking, but it is free on Sundays.”

It's the only takeout I've been to where they have thought about the packaging of their food, always warm and nothing is every squashed or soggy etc. Will always return. The meals were absolutely delicious, with generous portion sizes (even the kids’ meals were huge!). The interior design is honestly one of the best I’ve ever seen, stylish, welcoming, and full of character. Nestled among the trees, the location feels peaceful and tucked away, making it a truly special spot.
