Deputy manager Matt was brilliant with my son, being very patient with him telling a story and then when we dropped one of our items on the way out of the shop he ran after us in the car park to give us a new unbroken one. 5 star customer service and a reminder of the kindness in the world :)”

“Just visited your store in Harlow and what a lovely experience. Your staff member called Christe was so helpful. She had to refill the sunflower hearts as I had used all the stock that was left - the bottom is a long way down. As I had purchased quite an amount she then took my 3 bags to the checkout and after paying she then offered to take my very heavy bag to my car. This was so helpful to me as in the beginning as I continued to fill the bag I found the container very awkward to use. The metal edge was scrapping along my arm as I had to lean over and not only hold the bag that was now on the bottom but try to fill it at the same time. Perhaps you could rethink this system. In the beginning you had bins which were so much easier to use.”

“We use the vets practice at this branch vets for pets. All I can say is they are unbelievable. My dog was in real trouble, we got an emergency appointment at 1.am they took him in for 4 days fixed him up and now hes as good as new. They kept us updated every step of the way. The staff are so knowledgable and really do go the extra mile, they always remind me to check Pets Club vouchers etc and have even saved me a few times when I almost accidentally bought adult dog food instead of puppy food. “Bought 6 ember tetras here about a month ago. Despite it being nearly closing time, the staff were ever so helpful and friendly. They also showed genuine care for the fishes - they ensured that I had a fully matured fish tank of reasonable size and setting. They also gave me recommendations on where I could get good Indian Almond Leaves to manage the pH. I also saw them reject an inexperienced customer who wanted to keep fishes in a fish bowl (the fish will likely suffer), and for that, I highly respect them. The ember tetras are doing well - sorry for the algae-stained glass in the very bad picture!”
