“I did write a quite poor review about a member of staff a few weeks ago ( i unfortunately did not get her name just her attitude )!! SO I now have to write a new one for the complete opposite reason. I was fortunate enough to get a very pleasant young lady Janharna ( I think ) directing customers to self checkout or for any returns etc to go to a member of staff on the tills. I had several requests which were all handled easily & with good knowledge from Janharna. Firstly I had items to return, I had new items to purchase & also asked if they did a short leg in some trousers I had taken to the checkout with me. I was kindly instructed to return & purchase my items at a manned checkout & then Janharna said she would help me to look on line through the app to check if the trousers were available in a short leg. Whilst I was at the tills several other customers were directed by Janharna. Very efficient knowledgeable friendly & able member of staff you have there, you need to make sure you keep her!! Satisfied customer.”

“Absolutely love this Matalan! It’s become a regular stop for us whenever we’re at Interchange Retail Park. My wife always finds something stylish without breaking the bank, and my son loves checking out the kids’ section—there’s always something fun or comfy for him. The store is well-organized, prices are fair, and they’ve got a great mix of fashion, basics, and homeware. Staff are friendly and approachable, and even during busy hours it never feels chaotic. Plenty of parking outside too. It’s just one of those places where you always walk out with more than you planned—but in a good way!”

“Fab customer service. The lady who looked to be the manager or person in charge was so friendly at 9 am on a Saturday morning, even made a point of speaking to me as leaving the shop. The lady who served me dressed as a 'cracker' was fab also, really friendly and polite. All staff looked happy to be there, which I know is hard as retail can be a very horrible place at times.”

The second time we visited Jo was super helpful in fitting the car seat and pushchair into our car. Jo is very knowledgeable on the products and attentive to our needs. “Beautifully laid out and labelled clearly so finding what you’re looking for is very easy. You can pretty much buy some quality items from Matalan. There is a wide selection of clothing and household goods to choose from. The discount range is worth looking through and you can grab yourself a nice bargain. We managed to bag some very nice knitwear. Kerry’s customer service was outstanding. She went out of her way to help us. Kerry was very helpful and is a great asset to Matalan. Well worth a visit. Plenty of free parking is available.”

“I’ve not taken the name of the girl but I would like to give her 5 stars for being absolutely lovely and helping beyond expectations.She was very young and was wearing hoodie x I found a dress and was quite dirty so she looked all over shop for another one .Then she tried to find 1 online and when there was none left in stock she offered discount and advise me to use vanish to clean it( yes girl it worked perfect) . Such a breath of fresh air she was hope she gets promotion as definitely asset to this shop .”
