I highly recommend the mixed starters and the pad thai. It’s rare to find a place that feels this personal and this delicious at the same time. Pom has created something truly special. “It’s about time I write a review as today was my family’s 7th time coming to Huggers in less than one year! We are so lucky to have this cafe within 45 minutes drive from us. The food is amazing, especially their Sunday roasts. So many desert options and I especially love the warm treacle tart! I feel proud to be a vegan when I’m at Huggers. Parking is easy at the co-op opposite. Best to book a table as they are super popular with both vegans and non-vegans!”

“Came here for the first time on Saturday, with mr best friend, who LOVES this place. She had the crispy chilli chicken, and I had the crispy chilli beef - both dishes were served with rice. The owners were so lovely, and friendly, and the food was DELICIOUS! Portions are generous, amazing prices, super quick and friendly service, and it’s all halal! Will definitely be back for more very soon!”

“I had a delicious lunch here. I sat at the window bar and watched the Christmas shoppers rushing by while I was cosy and being well fed. The celeriac remoulade had a good dollop of mustard and made a perfect appetizer before the beef bourguignon. That beef was so tender, the carrots soft, an unctuous and lipsmacking dish. The frites I ordered were crisp and salty, perfect for dipping into that gravy. Although I was full, I couldn’t resist their crème brûlée for desert which had that crack on top, hiding a sweet mellow creaminess underneath. The Pinot noir I chose to accompany the meal seemed perfect. Astonishingly good food! I was kindly welcomed in when I arrived and the service was timely and friendly. Wish I was able to visit more often.”

“I purchased my dad and I a gin making experience for his 80th and went last night. What a great evening. Just the two of us. So informative and fun, very hands on, and we loved every minute of it. Would most definately recommend the experience if you like gin. It makes a fabulous present or a great experience for the enthusiast.”

“From the moment we entered the restaurant, staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant not only looks beautiful but was also such a wide variety of food. The salad bar is extensive and full of lovely Brazilian dishes! All of the meat is really good quality and staff are quick to come round with the next meat option. The rump steak, pork belly and minted lamp were firm favourites. Definitely worth the money and would definitely visit again!”

“A popular Italian but for very good reason! It’s only a small place so I was lucky to be able to secure a small table later into the evening without a reservation. The service was both attentive and fast throughout my short visit. There’s a good number of pizzas available to suit most taste, plus the staff were willing to make small changes. The 12 inch was a good size and was cooked perfectly, with the smoked beef choice having right amount of topping. A really independent vibe with nice atmosphere, I’d highly recommend and will certainly be returning next time I’m in the town.”

“I had such a fantastic time at The Blue Joanna! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I was especially impressed by the vegan options on the menu. I think either the banana blossom or the buffalo cauliflower were my favourite meals. But then again, everything I tried was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. It’s always such a treat to find a place that takes plant-based dishes seriously, and they really delivered. The service was lovely throughout. It was friendly, attentive, and relaxed. What made the evening even more special was when the staff sang happy birthday to another table. It was such a thoughtful touch and a lot of fun to experience as well! Highly recommend for a cozy night out with great food, kind people, and a bit of fun. I’ll definitely be back!”

The food from her chef was flavorful, and seasoned to perfection . We had a four course meal to include appetizers through dessert. I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. “Vistited after receiving a voucher for Xmas. It is not somehwere I would choose to go normally as I am a lady on a budget and don't live locally. But I have to say as someone who loves French food, I would recommend it as somewhere special to save up to go to impress and eat excellent food. The service was very good and I only marked it down on atmosphere because we sat near a slightly loud table . I will start saving my pennies for a return as my husband loved his pollock and I love my meal too. I walked by the selection of cheese and the display wouldn't go a amiss in an art gallery.”

“What a lovely find ! We were looking for a nice one night romantic getaway at a reasonable price , we definitely found it here ! The Beautiful blue room with four poster bed was stunning. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable and it was so peaceful and quiet in the room. We had everything we required for our stay. Breakfast was superb! We had such a lovely night and will definitely come back !”

“Had the heartiest breakfast here yesterday. Easy on the pocket and delicious! All set breakfasts include instant tea or coffee and toast which is sth I have yet to see in another breakfast cafe. We ordered a large vegetarian English and avocado toast with poached eggs. The portions were huge. Will definitely visit again!”

“Me and my partner had THE most amazing dining experience at The Courtyard! I’ll firstly start with the atmosphere, it’s fantastic! Such a small intimate diner with the most fantastic cook and such a friendly owner! There are 6 tables inside when we was there tonight and each one of us was all chatting away! The wine recommendation we got from the owner really blew our heads off with the beautiful sweet taste (I’ll attach a photo for anybody interested) And lastly the food… wow. One word, Speechless. Out of this world food! I personally recommend the carbonara!!! Overall I now understand why the reviews are so brilliant for this restaurant. One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had and to top it all off it is so so reasonably priced! I would have paid double for the experience we had tonight.
